Thundercloud is the absolute best sandwich place ever. Bar none. I recommend the New York Italian with thundersauce! I could have that everyday and not get tired of it. And oh, the complaints of the employees not wearing gloves is old news, all the times I have been in like, the last year, they have been wearing gloves. And if you had a problem with that beforehand, you should have just said something. Anyways, great food and a great price! The staff is always nice and they play cool music most of the time. :)

Taking a break from work and looking for a pace to eat for lunch… I came up on Thundercloud Subs. I haven’t been to TS since I lived in Austin. It was awesome back them and it is awesome now. The ambiance and the employee serving me were both great

Used to be one of my favorite sandwiches but it’s just not he same anymore. Tomatoes sliced so thin you could see through them. Turkey and cheese sliced thin too. But the kicker is the employee does not wear gloves and then goes to cash register and handles money. Not acceptable

This is one of the worst/gross sandwich shops. For one, they do not wear gloves or wash their hands after ringing people up on the cash register. I have been here a few times — and I have never seen anyone wear gloves or wash their hands. The food is nothing special — you could go to HEB and make your own sandwich for way cheaper especially if you order a veggie sandwich(Morning Star) and it would probably taste better. My boyfriend and I went in there today to try it out again since it had been awhile and the guy who made out sandwich put so much mayo and mustard we had to scrap it off before we could eat it and the bread was soggy. I would not try this place again.

Generally speaking I like their sandwiches which is a result of whole fresh ingredients. Their staff is usually pretty friendly, too. I’m giving them one star because of unsanitary(read gross) food practices. All of the staff makes sandwiches and then handle money/credit cards while operating the register. Then they turn around and go right on to making the next sandwich. They don’t use gloves and they don’t wash their wash. So their hands are filthy when they start making your sandwich! I’ve been 3 times in the past 4 weeks and not a single employ used gloves or washed their hands. I’ve also seen them used their bare hands to push their hair back, wipe their hands on their pants, and other nasty stuff. That’s pretty sick! Pay attention next time you go. Not sure if it’s unique to this location or more systemic within the chain.

VEGETARIANS take note: Thundercloud subs offers some of the best sand which options that are hearty and inexpensive! The nada chicken sandwhich is my favorite along with the veggie/hummus sandwhich that can be combined with nada chicken for the mighty hungry. I have witnessed non-vegetarians fall for nada chicken too! The staff is always personable and speedy, definitely would recommend trying it out.

Love the vibe of this place… employees are nice, prices are decent… couple notches above Subway for me.

I honestly don’t know how this place has less than 4 stars because one bite and I was hooked! I usually get a sub for lunch because it’s really fast and really good! I have yet to have a bad sandwich from here. Love it!

automatic one-star for cleanliness… don’t make my sandwich without gloves, handle money, and go back to making my sandwich. there’s nothing outstanding about this place. it comes down to this: Why would I leave my house to spend money on food that I can make better myself at home? the staff was friendly, i’ll give them that. but courtesy and kindness does not make up for unsanitary practices and lackluster sandwiches.

I have been here a couple of times now. Store smells funny and dirty. Tables are not clean. Floors are dirty. Employees do not wear gloves while handling your food. The sandwiches are good. I saw a lot of people just picking up. Inhave never seen anyone eating in when we are there. It’s dirty so yes, people eat in. Sorry to say that the Subway I visit once in a while is cleaner than this store. Hands down. As much asImlike the sandwich I will go some place else.

A review for Thundercloud is two things — long overdue and totally useless. It’s long overdue because I’ve been a Thundercloud freak for like ever, and I love that I have a location close to my house. It’s useless because every Thundercloud experience is beyond amazing. Seriously though, you can order anything on that menu and be satisfied. My favorites are definitely the Veggie Delight with hummus and spicy mustard, the Texas Tuna again with spicy mustard, and the California Club. ALLTHREEARESOEFFINGMOUTHWATERING. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. On top of all that yummyness, they only use the freshest ingredients and cut everything right there in front of you, none of that Subway bullshit. And I love that there is a little bit of Texas flair in all of their sandwiches, especially because I’m a heat freak and I’ll eat anything with jalapeño in it. Another thing I really like about Thundercloud is their vibe, it’s a total 420 friendly place if you know what I mean. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and yeah… go eat Thundercloud.

Great subs! We were in San Antonio for a wedding and wanted to grab a cheap healthy lunch before we headed back to the airport and found Thundercloud. The workers were friendly and sub was great, the bread was very soft and the ingredients fresh! If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely drop by again. One star knocked off because it kind of takes awhile to make the subs, if you went here during a busy time I can imagine you would have to wait a long time for your sandwich!

The subs are great, but it’s hard to enjoy your sandwich because the staff plays the most raucous, head-banging, screaching, nerve grating noise(music???), and they play it loud!!! When we went none of the customers were over 30 years old, so clearly this is not for the clientelle. Wear your sonic sound proof ear plugs. The Snoop
