Mexican fried chicken!!! Came here for my friend’s birthday.
Food: Yum… as a fried chicken fanatic, was pretty pleased with the chicken here. Very juicy and just the right amount of batter. I appreciate the diversity from fast-​food chicken like Popeyes and KFC. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the sides. The Campanero beans and rice, and other sides were subpar for a Mexican restaurant. I normally expect great sides at sit-​down Mexican restaurants, but these were definitely lacking flavor.
Service: I was delighted with the service at first, since there weren’t many people in line. But after returning to buy a flan, I had to wait 10 minutes with 2 families in front of me due to only two cashiers. The cashiers also get the food for each order before moving to the next customer, and a family in front of me literally stood there for 5 minutes waiting. When the flan came, I was also disappointed it was pre-​packaged. And small, and cost $ 2.50. Tastes good though!
I guess people don’t mind waiting because there was a long line behind me by the time I was ordering. Restaurant has good lighting and is pretty clean, which is a plus!
