I went here going on the reviews I read on Unilocal. This place is quite possibly the WORST sushi restaurant I’ve ever experienced. I walk in and I see decent décor. Ok. I sit down and order from the AYCE menu. I get my ginger and wasabi. Maybe a drop of wasabi and soggy canned ginger. Ordered a bunch of Nigiri and a few basic rolls to test the place out as I always do a new place. Philly roll comes. Over salted rice, gobs of cream cheese. After this I knew I was in trouble. 15 minutes rolls but from one roll to the next. Second roll was a «citrus salmon» roll. Basically a tuna roll flavored with orange Tang. I’m not exaggerating. Finally the Nigiri comes. The salmon was wet and rubbery. Then the«tuna» came. Still had ice crystals in it. After an hour and fifteen minutes and only getting 4 plates of food I was fed up and asked for the check. I was so disgusted I sent an upcoming plate back to the kitchen. I didn’t even want to leave a tip. $ 70 for 2 people to have frozen fish. As I write this after leaving I already feel my stomach becoming upset. Yes, this place was that bad. Maybe I caught them on a bad day? If so it must of been their worst. But I’ll never go back and that is a promise.

This was my first visit to this place and I went because of all the great reviews I read on Unilocal, well let me say that they are all true, the food is great, the service was amazing, and even the price was very fair. I totally recommend going to this place.

This place was awful! First, bad service, my boyfriend and I waited thirty minutes for a roll when we were the only ones there. Second, they made a mistake on our order, we ordered paradise roll and instead they served us rainbow roll. Then, too much rice on the rolls. Lastly, the food got me sick. I did not feel well as we left the restaurant. Overall, I give the place a one star and would not suggest it to anyone.

First review ever. This place is so bad I feel obligated to tell the world. Came here with my girlfriend on presidents day because our normal sushi spot was closed. We opted for AYCE, after our 3rd roll(first round) they tell us they«accidentally» made the rainbow roll instead of the paradise roll, so we say thats fine we’ll take it anyway, but then one of the chefs leaves and we didn’t get food for 35 minutes! They tell us because they had to get an ingredient but Im sure it was something for the tropical roll we didnt receive till she got back. So on top of them lying, we waited 35 minutes and we cancelled a few rolls because we were there for 2 and a half hours(1 round), the fish to rice ratio was all rice. If your craving sushi go to meiga down the street, or just save your money.

Very tasty delight for an evening. We were only to have a light snack, but it all ended with green tea and plum wine ice cream. A nice treat. I even suggested to young lad who had trouble with his chop sticks. The superman burrito and the spicy tuna(that had decent kick) and the little ninja were all very tasty.

Best sushi place! We came here from LA and after reading their reviews me and my friends decided to come here. We ordered 4types of sushi and appetizer plus there was something called cream puff i think and that was the best thing i have ever had in my life. Its a must if you come here. Will be back if in the area!!! And very friendly staff as well

Just moved back to the area and searched Unilocal for high scores. I wasn’t disappointed with sushi train. The sushi was good, felt like the portions of nigiri was decent(I’ve been to places with larger and smaller servings) and the rolls were not small not over sauced. I had the baked lobster roll, the Philadelphia roll, and the Vegas roll. All delicious. I was also impressed with the albacore nigiri, very good. The waitress and chef were very nice! We got great service. The only two things that didn’t earn a 5 star: there was only one chef, and even with one other party of 3, it seemed to take forever! We got one roll or plate of nigiri at a time, and then seemed to wait forever for the next serving. However, it seemed nice to not get everything at once, I didn’t get as full so fast like I seem to at other sushi places. The other thing was the place is called sushi train, but they don’t seem to use the conveyor belt at all. So that is confusing. However I will definitely be back!

I dropped in on a whim to this place. It was around noon, and I was hungry. When I went in; I noticed the friendly greeting(as I was the only one there… I beat the lunch rush!). I asked the dude to just make something up; and he gave me a pretty good sushi roll with some jalapeño peppers. I’m not the biggest fan of jalapenos, but the roll was actually good. There wasn’t really anything mind-blowing about this place. The price was fair, the service was fine, and the food was decent. I’ll come back again and see if my opinion can increase. I really try to support San Bernardino restaurants, because this town needs good people to come spend their money; so I’ll leave this rating at 3 stars, and hope I can bump it up next time.

Meiga Sushi was way too full. Friday night and a party of one, I didn’t feel like waiting, or being surrounded by a place full of happy, accompanied people haha, so I was kinda happy to happen upon a restaurant as lonely as me. There was a rather boisterous barber shop next door but there was no one in sight for this place. I have no idea why there are like 2 – 3 waiters, but it’s completely unnecessary, they’re kinda all just staring at me. There’s a tv to make it less awkward. And the decorum is nice, nicer than Meiga Sushi. The food here is pretty good too, I’m not sure why there’s such a difference in popularity with them being less than a mile apart, but if there is any overflow at Meiga you can probably safely come here. It’s definitely no Asahi or Sushi Martini, but for Highland it’s fine.
