University bar and grill is well hmmm… Yeah… Is a small place, and they need more stuff on the menu. The services also takes forever, and the food is decent. Prepare to wait for a long time here.

Here’s a new business concept: how about staying open later than 9pm, keeping your doors open on Sundays with football specials on Sunday’s & Mondays. I might not have a business degree but pretend like you want to serve the people on the north end. We are hoping for some form of food restaurants around this area and all we got is a LAZY owner. Know your clientele, read the numerous complaints on Unilocal to better your restaurant. I mean, here’s the blueprint on «HOW» to make your restaurant successful and you or management don’t even bat an eye. I guess people have that kind of $$ to burn.

Terrible! Really hope this place is sold or taken over by a business that wants to be open… Place is always closed. Who does that? Hurry up and leave!!!

Food is good and service is good as well, yet the resturant doesn’t know how to deliver their good in a proper way. For example, the resturant is called«University Bar and Grill» and they don’t understand university students needs. There are no promotions for students, kitchen closes too early even in the weekends 8pm. Resturant closes at 9pm. No music. Clustered tv distribution. Wasted space. Hire a designer for god’s sake. Not loving the Court room design.

Bar and Grill? Nice place inside. Closed on Saturday Sunday and Monday. Its like a Sports bar. But with all 4 major sports going on. And they close on the above days. I don’t get it. I spoke with the owner he said it’s a business decision. Ya a bad decision. I truly don’t understand. Maybe it’s a tax write off. Because it will never last unless the owner has a enless supply of $$$$ Its a shame. Has great potential.

Arrived at 4:45pm on a Saturday and the place was closed. Wth? No hours posted on the door. Do they just open whenever they feel like it? The owner can’t possibly think people are going to love his place so much that he can just open at his discretion. Unbelievable!

This bar has over half a dozen flatscreen TVs, but closes on Sundays and Mondays — the days football is on. This place is called a University Bar and Grill with a coyote pub, but doesn’t care to attract students to go there. Someone really needs to set the owner straight.

Never open. Basically it’s the owners hang out ! 330−9pm lol He is really missing out on a good area and late night crowds… From what I heard he has money and doesn’t care to make any. We he has lost just about everyone I’ve talked to that we’re gonna be great customers. Get it together sir or sell it to someone who will run it correctly !!

First of all the lady that was supposedly the bar tender didn’t know how to make a mudslide despite the fact that it was on the menu in detail. Then took her ten minutes to figure out how to use the blender ! Waitress was very apologetic. but I still had to pay for the drink that was made wrong and that I didn’t touch ! 3rd time I have gave a try ! Enough is enough. Won’t be back.

I can summarize this review in a few words, Verdemont locals your wait for a good local place has not ended, unfortunately. My trophy wife and I went there last night to experience the place after reading reviews since they opened. Everyone’s reviews on the interior is accurate, it is PITIFUL! No décor, nothing inviting, just TV’s playing something I didn’t want to watch! We arrived at 8:30 and were shocked that that is when they usually close the kitchen, at a BAR&GRILL? Isn’t that when the business starts to pick up? They promised us we would be served food and we sat down. The service was ok, not more, not less, ok. Server took our drink order and brought them back in a respectable amount of time. We ordered an appetizer and our sandwich and burger. The drinks were inferior, the lemonade like the beer is watered down, disappointing. So the appetizer never arrived. When our food was delivered the server said, «opps, it must have been given to the wrong table.» We cancel the appetizer because our food had arrived. I know mistakes happen, I can get that, I make lots of them. When you start talking trash about your customers in their ear shot, I draw the line. I don’t appreciate you disparaging us because we canceled the Onion Ring, Edith! Food was ok. My burger was overcooked and not medium. The fries were ok, underdone and not crispy, but ok. Prices are poor from the bar, a 22 oz beer is $ 8. Food prices have gone down and are ok. This place calls itself a ‘University’ establishment but does not offer customers WiFi access. Am I the only one who think this is ridiculous? The Menu is sparse, but this is good. It is a Bar and Grill. I don’t think anyone there has a clue on how to lead or run this place. As much as I hate to say this I would prefer a chain restaurant instead of this. Sad for a guy who loves his mom and pop places so much! Sorry Verdemont, the wait isn’t over. I hope the owner gets a clue and invest some money in décor, leadership, and talent. Until the reviews change A LOT, we will not be back!

Amazing, juicy, huge burgers(seriously, chk out the pic), amazing Mac & cheese, amazing tuna melt, amazing onion rings and amazing fries. My husband and I don’t really drink and don’t like sports but this is the closest restaurant to us(that isn’t fast food) and we LOVED it!!! Great service! Marlene never even let us get to the bottom of our glasses, she brought refills so fast. She brought extra ranch and napkins and we never had to ask. We will becoming back here again and again. So happy to find a place like this in an area w/o a whole lot around.

The people who gave this place a bad review… please remember, the place just opened and they need a bit of time to get into their groove. I found the food to be delicious. I had the tuna salad and my friend had the chicken strips — both were tasty. The wait staff were quite attentive and there are plenty of large screen TVs throughout so I could watch playoff hockey. While I know the place is new, they should decorate the walls with sports memorabilia because other than the TVs, the walls are empty. I’m sure they’ll address that issue as time rolls on. I had water because I don’t drink soda or alcohol, they might(better) filter the chilled tap water because it was not so tasty. In time, I’m sure this place will flourish because it has a good vibe to it.

We have had dinner here twice, both on Friday evenings around 6pm. We had dinner last night and were disappointed to say the least. We ordered drinks from the bar, two beers, one wine, one Tom Collins, one bourbon and Coke. The drinks took twenty minutes to arrive. The bartender didn’t know what a Tom Collins was. The drink was sent back twice and finally cancelled. The meals did not arrive at the same time and all of the meals were cold. We talked to the manager who was nice enough to take the Tom Collins off the bill. Gee, that’s great, we never got the drink to begin with. The place is awful. We’ll never go back. It’s a complete waste of time and money

We went during the soft opening, and had children with us, and when we were being seated we had to walk behind the hostess area through a small doorway to get to an undecorated room. We felt completely separated from the bar area. The food menu was very limited. There were no tvs or music playing in the family area. Prices were a bit high for what you got. The food was 80% French fries and 20% real food. They had white tablecloths and cloth napkins, and your food comes in a basket, like you’re about to have a picnic. The food was so-so. The Margaritas were good. We were excited as this restaurant was being built, but so far disappointed and hope they make changes, and we hope it becomes a fun dining experience for families.
