WaBa Grill

The place is really clean and everything looks nice but the cook was questionable… He kept checking out my sister and his shirt was inside out. We ordered tofu bowls and the tofu was one massive block and wasn’t chopped up at all. The amount of avocado that they gave was really good but the food itself had no flavor and was really bland. That was my first visit to waba grill and it will be my last. Will continue to get my tofu bowls from flame broiler from now on (it’s cheaper too!)

I love Wabba Grill because the food is delicious, but for some reason, at this particular location, my orders always have something wrong with them. The last three times that I have visited this location. There has been something wrong with my order. They either forget to add avocado to my order, or they forget to add the soup. Their avocado is an extra $ 1.50, so it is really bothersome when they forget such a small detail. Those are the reasons why I have given this location 4 stars instead of 5.

I usually order the grilled salmon plate, and there’s a very polite, very hard-​working young man named «Chris» who is the chef and grills my salmon to perfection. If a coworker is busy tending to a customer, he pops up to the counter so customers can place their orders without delay — great team work! The workers here are on the young side, but based on my 5 visits, they are ALL very courteous and do an excellent job. Food here is always fresh, healthy, and tasty, and the restaurant always clean and neat. Worth stopping in and dining here.

First of all I would like to say thank you Brenda for contacting me with the updates on my situation I’m just very suspicious of people with my cards and the cashiers looking at my cards more than they need to the food is actually excellent that day just seemed a little sketchy to me as for as the lady’s giving attitudes I’m sorry but I did have that feeling they could have been having a bad day I’m not sure

I’ve been here twice now and both times I’ve been very disappointed with the quality of the chicken! Compared to other locations, the chicken is gross at this location. It’s very fatty and cut in weird big chunks and I get pierces of bone too! I’ve only had this issue at this location! I’ll just stick with a veggie rice bowl if I ever come back, it’s less expensive! The chicken just isn’t good quality here and I’ve wasted my money trying it out cuz I end up not eating the chicken.

I was driving on the freeway and didn’t want a hamburger so I was so happy I saw the billboard. I ordered a grilled chicken kale salad. It was so good and was big enough for dinner and the next day’s lunch. It’s was 9.50 and well worth it. Lots of healthy options too.

Tried Waba Grill recently and was not greatly impressed. The patio area is not disabled friendly; the picnic style tables were too close together for a walker to fit between them and to get to the door, it was necessary to walk way round a table that was partially blocking the access walkway. Once inside, the service was adequate, the food was passable and the prices were fairly reasonable. I’m not sure I will make a return visit.

Foods great! Music ghetto as SB. No doubt the owners aren’t around. Who blast rap at 7:45 on a Tuesday night in waba grill.

I love Waba Grill but just not this location. I’ve been here on multiple occasions and the meat is always dry and has no flavor to it unlike other Waba locations.
The cashier’s at this location seem like they hate their job and much rather be anywhere else in the world BUT here. The cashier looked annoyed and when my order was called out I went to the counter I grabbed my plate smiled and said thank you. I couldn’t even receive a smile, a thank you, or a simple «you’re welcome» from anyone in there

I wanted to finally try the new location on Kendall. But I guess I went at the wrong time. The young woman working as cashier was very unpleasant and seemed annoyed with each customer. I figured it was tolerable at the moment because the food is always great. Well our food was terrible. I got two bowls: shrimp and chicken. The rice and veggies were over cooked and the meat was so bland. Safe to say I’d rather drive to Highland to get my wabagrill.

I can definitely say the customer service is great here. The lady’s are always perked up with a smile on there face, but the food is totally different from other waba grills. The texture of there food is dry and the veggies are always over cooked unless you tell them not to cook it long at all. I rather travel all the way across town to the waba grill on Rialto to get better quality and a better portion size of meat. Salmon is my fave but not at this waba grill.

Waba grill is delicious when it is done right and this location is a corporate location and they do it right there. But for the last few visits it seems like they are skipping a little bit on the white rice they’re not adding the same amount as they did in the past. I’ve eaten enough of this place from the Fontana location to the Rancho Cucamonga location and everything in between and I’ll tell you something they are giving customers less rice why?

Healthiest food near CSUSB campus, the staff is welcoming, they give HUGE potions of avocado with the meals, and a 10% discount for students. Illeana the manager made an effort to come say hello to our group (16 people) and made for a great experience.

This is a nice healthy fast food option. I tried a rice bowl with veggies and salmon. The salmon had a teriyaki type glaze which had a nice flavor. The fish itself was a little on the dry side and the veggies (cabbage, carrot, brocoli) a tad soggy like maybe they had been previously frozen? It wasn’t gourmet and cooked to absolute perfection, but no surprise there, and for around $ 10 it was good value. You can choose white or brown rice, and they also have ribs, beef, chicken, and shrimp options. Given the limited healthy restaurants in the area I’m sure I’ll go back sometime.

The food is yummy, healthier than your normal fast food and the customer service is just what I need! Kind, courteous, accurate and expeditious!

The food is fantastic! Finally a healthy place to eat in the north end of San Bernardino.

For those who haven’t been there you gotta try it. Chicken, steak, salmon with a variety of rice and veggies.

Food good as are most waba grills excluding victorville that one sucks this one is okay but light on the servings
Cucamonga and other spots fill the bowl and hence your tummy this location seems like someone trying to save but cutting portions shame I still wanted lunch after buying lunch

Wow this place is delicious! Just got the chicken veggie bowl. They give you big portions of chicken and veggie. The veggies are cooked just right and the the chicken isn’t dry. I like that they don’t put too much sauce either.
Everyone there was super friendly and the place is clean. The prices are a little more than fast food but you get your money’s worth. Overall I will be coming back.

You say WaBa? I say why not?!? Overall I will certainly throw more shrimp on this barbie!
The location by the new metro station is a bit odd as the strip mall has yet to expand, but once it does I guess this won’t really stand out as much as it currently does.
To me it closely in a copyright infringement type of way resembles that of Flame Broiler, but a huge difference was the feeling after the meal. I decided on the half chicken/​half steak plate so I could get a hint of what Waba was made of. I did enjoy the side portion of salad, but cheated a bit and added the waba sauce to it which added a bit more pizazz. The chicken and steak were prepared to perfection and not a hint of byproduct parts anywhere to be found (i.e. gristle, etc.). The only imperfection was the meat to rice ratio as I can see that there is plenty more rice than livestock. That was my only tsk-​tsk!
All in all a well balanced meal and definitely a healthy alternative to greasy arches, crowns, and bells. I see great things for a blossoming establishment in this area of San Berdookie for sure!

First visit was their second day of operation, so management appeared to be everywhere. I was delighted they gave me bottled water with the daily special instead of soda.
I ordered the combo with chicken and beef, which also includes a small salad with vinegrette. Green onions are optional on top, but they are a bit heavy handed. Luckily I like scallions. I felt they resemble Flame Broiler slightly, but do a better job. the combo was only $ 7.99 and I opted for brown rice instead of white.
Next time I will try the ribs.
