Had a clunking noise from my car thought the rear tires or brakes were gonna fall apart but it was a simple fix and cheap thanks trust auto crew for a job well done

Fred is the man!!! I have a 2009 Audi A4 that is getting up there in terms of mileage. I don’t have extended warranty on the car so maintenance and repairs cost a small fortune when I take it to the Audi dealer in Burlingame. Since I am relatively new to the area, I don’t have a mechanic that I have been working with that I can trust. I’m always afraid that someone will rip me off after reading some of these reviews for repair shops and from past experience. Fred helped me run a diagnosis after the check engine light came on in my car. It turned out that it was nothing too serious and he was able to fix it in a few hours. He went out of his way to make sure everything else was alright with the vehicle and was very patient in explaining the work he did and why it needed to be done. The price was very reasonable considering the part that needed to be replaced and the labor that was involved. Also a lot more affordable than what I’m used to paying. Fred even went out of his way to replace my broken tail light for free after he saw the vehicle light malfunction indicator. I’m so relieved now that I don’t feel like I have to take out a loan everytime there is something wrong with my car!

Trust auto is the place to go if you want your car fixed right. The name «Trust Auto» says it all. They are genuine trustworthy people, and you don’t have to worry about any unexpected maybe fake problems that some auto places might stick you with. They know there stuff, and will fix the problem. give them a try!

I went to work one morning in a terrible mood, because my car was being troublesome, and when my coworkers asked what was wrong, I began a rant about my engine and how the BMW dealership quoted me $ 4800 for an engine + turbo diagnostic and it was a Monday and I was not happy!
One of my coworkers suggested Trust Auto, just the next city over from where I work, so I tried to make a last minute appointment for that afternoon. They were very accommodating with my request, and were able to schedule me right before the shop closed.
I was greeted by Manny, who started my paperwork right away, even though he had several other customers in the shop. After running a few tests, he informed me that he found no problems at all with my engine, and that sometimes the car’s computer has a glitch and triggers an alarm. Since I only saw the warning light once, I could understand that the issue might have been a fluke in the system. Even though the shop was near closing time, they happily checked my brake fluid levels as well, since I am a confused person and had no idea why that light kept coming on. They showed me that my brake fluids were clean, and I happily drove home, with much less worries of a disaster on the road.
It is very rare to find such honest people in the automotive industry, but Manny and the shop definitely live up to their name. I would highly recommend Trust Auto to anyone who is seeking a knowledgeable, affordable, and friendly auto shop =)
P. S. Yes, I know this is like my 10^th auto shop review, but BMWs suck. Don’t buy one, get a reliable Toyota instead. I knew I should have listened to my daddy.

I use to deal with Trust Auto all the time and were super happy with them. I moved out of the area so thats why I dont come down there no more… I would recommend thia shop all day !!!

Well, it was time for an oil change and my usual spot (Speedy) totally shunned me off so I decided to go back to Trust. Fred (new owner) always takes care of me so no wait. 30min and I outta there. There shop is soooo clean and neat now.

THANK YOU Manny & Fred! A close gal pal referred me to Trust, specifically Fred, when I found ANOTHER nail in a tire I had recently replaced a month ago due to the same cause! I’ve had to spend about $ 1500+ to replace 3 tires since last July, ALL DUE to NAILS! I have Flat run tires that are super sensitive and super expensive each time I have to replace them! Of course it doesn’t help that idiot me kept having the dealership replace the tires for me but what’s a damsel in distress to do?!
Long story short, Fred didn’t take advantage of my gender but instead, told me he’d try plugging the tire FIRST to see if it would work BEFORE forcing me to drop a few Benjamins to retire the tire. Hallelujah, after waiting for 45 minutes, my tire was saved AND Fred saved me over $ 450+ which is what the dealership charged me EACH TIME they replaced my tire!

This is the new trust auto! Had a vehicle serviced and very satisfied with the work. Had the chubby Latino guy work on my car. He made the alignment look easy. He was eating a sandwich while adjusting camber.

My Acura MDX needed a lot of deferred maintenance and the idiot lights on my dash were dancing! Spoiled by dealer in-​warranty service, I had some reservations about trying a local shop but through a couple of layers of referrals I decided to give Trust a try.
Fred, chief mechanic must have been factory trained because he knew exactly what to do get us back on the road with a clean bill of health. He gave recommendations and price estimates based on a quick diagnostic check.
Work done — Valve adjustment, replace engine mount, replace spark plugs, replace oxygen sensor, new tires, wheel alignment… the engine is running silky smooth and idles perfectly. As a special bonus, they washed my car and I had polish my headlamp lens so that it looks practically new! I highly recommend this service to give greater efficiency to your headlights.
They finished the work on time as promised and very reasonably priced especially compared to dealers. I did notice an area for window tinting and stereo installation and I think they also give smog checks.
All in all, I had an excellent experience with Trust and will be back for more service, when needed.

Had these guys install my window tint back in ⁴⁄₂₀₀₉ and they did an excellent job. The quality of the install and tint was top notch.
I will say that their installer was very late coming back from his lunch however. I had to sit around waiting thirty minutes for him (which added to the hour and a half install time), so I’m taking a star away for that.
Also, they seemed to prefer cash… so take that for what it’s worth.
The owner was generally friendly though.

I needed to have my front axles replaced on my 96 Toyota Camry. They had the job done within 1 – 1.5 hours, including ordering in the necessary parts.
Randomly, my friend who was going to pick me up got a flat tire a few blocks away from the shop. Jason and Damian were very nice – they loaded a jack into Damian’s truck and helped my friend swap out her tire for the spare. For free.
Unfortunately, when I got home I saw that my car was leaking transmission fluid pretty copiously. I took it to a mechanic who was much closer, and he was dismayed by what he found.
Once he had the car up on the rack, and the axles out, he saw that they had installed ABS-​specific axles (Trust Auto knew I did not have ABS), and that a fitting that helps the axle mate to the transmission was bent on the passenger side. There was also some missing hardware, what the second mechanic described as a «clip» or «clips».
Pros: Fast, Friendly, Reasonably Priced
Cons: Attention to detail leaves something to be desired, quality-​control does not inspire confidence

Trust auto has done tinting for several of our cars over the years and they always do great work, your car is done in a timely manner and the people there are professional and treat you with respect. If this review was just for the window tinting, it would be a 5 star easy.
Well, I also had them install a very complicated AVIC-​Z3 system in my smart car with MBquart speakers, crossovers, 600w amp, bluetooth, iPod, satellite radio, GPS, back-​up cam, the whole works. With the smart car your options are quite limited because there’s no space for practically anything to fit anywhere. So, they worked their arse off making stuff fit that would otherwise be impossible.
Well, it works for the most part but there’s a few issues I have with the install (things that don’t work, stuff that isn’t connected properly) that I need to go back for them to fix, and I think they may have overcharged me on some of it. The owner says bring it in and they will try and make everything right. 3 stars pending what happens next. I expect they will fix it even though some time has passed and make good on their word, then this review goes to 4 stars.
UPDATE! I wanted the car to be a sort of roving broadcast/​recording vehicle for car runs and podcasts, alas I moved out of the area, so wasn’t able to return as originally planned.
Issues were that my backup cam works in reverse but not in the GPS rear view map mode, which the guy had ideas how to fix, had I came back in, and my aux and input/​output ports were never connected, why, you ask? Well it was unusual to hook EVERYTHING up, so they didn’t even bother hooking up the extra audio and video ports, not realizing I had plans for them.
However, they did refund me on the overage which turned out to be a sort of downpayment/​deposit. Yay.
All in all, they done good for working on a unfamiliar brand new car (at the time it was the first 2008 smart fortwo they ever worked on) and the stuff they installed still works great 3 years later.
Sure, someday I may get that all sorted, but I’ve lived without it for this long eh? After having so much time pass I wouldn’t blame them if they’ve all but forgotten about me :)
Nonetheless, they deserve that 4^th star for being cool and upfront/​honest and talking stuff over with me in great detail. Had they done it all perfectly and everything was 100% with my $ 4,000 system, heck ya there’d be 5 stars.

I met Damian through a friend of mine and I’m glad I did. Damian and Dave and the crue have gone the extra mile everytime I’ve gone into their shop. I recommend Trust Auto all of the time. Hopefully I have sent them business, they all deserve it !

Called in the morning for a specific quote. Drove there from San Francisco only for them to try to charge me more. Walked out of there. Major waste of time.

Went here to get my stud replaced. In and out in 30 minutes. Great service! They also do brakes, timing belts, alignment, suspension, etc. Check it out. Ask for Dave or Damien.
