I have had problems since I was little. We didn’t know why it was. Then when I was 16 they said Colitis. 19 bleeding ulcers. 25 we don’t know what to do anymore, nothing works. Fast forward 25 years I went Gluten Free. My life changed considerably but I still couldn’t get a handle on it. I was at the end of my rope. My wife found Digestive Care Medical Center in San Carlos about 4 hours from our home. We made an appointment with Dr Kao. After meeting with him he gave me hope again. I went on a medication that started improving my health. Then Dr Kao put me on a different medication that changed my life. After 50 years of struggling. Going to Drs, Clinics, Hospitals with all of the testing all they could give me is IBS. That’s what you say when you don’t know. I am living as close to normal as it gets. No longer do we go on trips planning where we will need to stop. Now I pass those places.
I highly recommend this Place and Dr Kao. Take the time to meet with him it will change your life. THAT VISIT CHANGED MINE!!!

I delayed having a colonoscopy even though I’m almost 55 as the thought did not sound appealing of an optional procedure. :-) I decided to do it and had my first colonoscopy through DCMC yesterday. All the staff are fantastic and professional. The front staff ensured my insurance would cover the procedure and any followup; and the nursing staff just made the process, yesterday, so much easier. From Sue who checked me in and remembered me from 7 yrs ago; to the kind and competent nursing staff of Jill and Kathy who understood and empathized that I ‘hate needles’ :-) I am glad not to have to go back anytime soon, but I highly recommend this practice as the staff and nursing infrastructure is just top of the line :-)

I felt heard, respected, in good hands, and comfortable with Dr. Levenson. I had issues with gall stones, pancreatitis (as a result of gallstones), and gastric surgeries. Don’t have time to write a long review on this one, but I highly recommend Dr.L.

Wow, this place looks amazing. Im a kaiser member, but I would really consider using Roger Kao. He is super qualified and sounds like an amazing doctor. Not to mention, my Aunt Sue works in the office and is just as amazing. You need to check this place out!

OK IM 50, Male very picky about Doctors and med centers, i work in a lot of hospitals as a contractor, so i see, hear, talk to people about there issues. I had to schedule a colonoscopy because of my age and its the right thing to do, from my co workers i heard they didn’t have a pleasant time when goin to those chain hospitals,.Ill leave the name out since its my first review. I was recommend to Dr. Kao from my wife since she had hers earlier in the year and it was know big deal. A little intimidated at first. but after meeting the staff and how very comfortable they made me feel the procedure went beautiful the nurses were very caring and nice, i cannot express how great i felt after, so i thought i should share my experience with you. now i have no worries about colon cancer, I wasn’t filled with air and and gas issues like you get with the other places no pain no discomfort, so there go get it done, One less thing to think about, Have a great year.
