Full Moon Sushi

Delicious food, great servers. All around a great little place. The prices are super good.

This place is awesome! Great customer service, good food, clean, and welcoming. I love the Healthy Full Moon Roll and you can’t beat their prices. A lunch item that includes beef teriyaki, bowl of rice, soup, salad and spicy tuna roll was less than $ 7.00! Fried calamari appetizer was $ 3.50! Will likely be a loyal customer.
Side note: Couldn’t find the place at first. It’s in the plaza right next to the plaza with the Krikorian theatre, around the corner from the floral shop that’s across from Panda Express.

This place is amazing! Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had and unbelievable low prices. Will be back!

We love sushi bars. We love having dinner walking distance from our home. We love Full Moon!
Seriously, a sushi restaurant must do at least 3 things well:
1) Serve fresh fish
2) Have friendly chefs and support staff
3) Be «in our neighborhood»
Full Moon does it all, and it’s priced right.

Very, very good sushi at an extremely reasonable price. Best value sushi in Orange County. My kids love it. I highly recommend it.

This was my first time here. The place was clean, service was great, food was delicious and the price was right. I recommend the Hawaiian roll. Dee-​licious! My daughter and I will definitely be returning customers.

Tasty, fresh, and affordable sushi. I always get take out from here. The staff is very polite and the service is quick. Only complaint — and it’s a small one — is that there isn’t really anywhere to sit or stand while you wait for a table.

Great alternative to the local sushi spot, lower prices, but smaller portions. The food is good and the value is good. If you want cheaper it’s the place to go. However the creativeness is lacking on many plates by todays standards. I enjoy this place and its got better open hours than the local competition. The place is plain, the owner wants it that way i tried to talk with him to add some decoration and presentation to the food. Bottom line is; no frills is the offe, and they deliver!

I have eaten here multiple times now and have basically tried everything on the menu. This place is such a gem! All the employees are very friendly, the fish always tastes fresh and delicious, and I really couldn’t complain about a single thing. Thanks full moon for always giving me a great experience.

Update– this place continues to provide excellent food, in a clean environment, at a very reasonable price.
After only 3 – 4 visits (I’ve been here 20 times by now), they know what I like, down to the most minute detail (fork instead of chop sticks, no miso soup even though it comes with…). Frankly, I’ve been to dozens of Sushi/​Japanese restaurants over the years and don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else, unless they are looking for flames and dancing dragons (at commensurate prices).

I love this place becuse taste good and fresh and not expensive.
My favorite is Teriyaki salmon combo, salmon skin salad.
worker is super very nice. Comfortable inside.

–Halibut (really good with yuzu and ponzu)
–Albacore Belly (try it seared with garlic)
–Yellowtail Belly (try it seared with jalapeño)
–Spanish Mackerel
–Ono (delicious when seared with poke sauce)
–Toro
–Uni
–Soft Shell Crab Appetizer
–Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (comes with 3 per order, tastes like the common xiu mai)
–Jumbo Scallop with sea salt and lemon

Superb! I go there all the time and am never displeased. If anything this place is too good because sometimes it’s hard to find a seat for dinner! Great prices and you get a lot of food in the dinner combinations. Love it! Keep it up guys!

Very yummy sushi place that is reasonably priced. I had trouble finding a sushi restaurant in San Clemente, and this is one of my favorites. The bento boxes and dinner/​lunch specials are the best bang for your buck. The specialty rolls are tasty and have a diversity of flavors. Has a simple and casual atmosphere and the staff is friendly and accomodating.

Wow! This is a wonderful place for dinner. We will be back! Excellent service, tasty and well prepared meals. Gray atmosphere and a convenient location. Very reasonable prices with a vast yet not overwhelmingly large menu.

The chicken teriyaki was amazing and fresh. All the food was fresh!

This is ABSOLUTELY the best sushi I’ve had in a very long time.
We had:
Spicy Tuna Rolls, Philly Rolls, Crunch Rolls, CA Rolls, Spider Rolls, Poke Appetizer and Udon Soup. ALL WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD!
SO glad that a spot like this is right around the corner from the house! We will definitely be frequenting this place!

Fresh fish (tuna melts in your mouth)
Ahi poke appetizer is flavorful (very saucy but delicious) I recommend trying it.
Cucumber roll is fresh & light (I’d pass next time to try something else)
sashimi dinner was delicious and fresh. The salmon was my least favorite of the options but not fishy like I’ve experienced else where. (tuna and yellow tail were my favs)
I was not a fan of the Miso soup. it may have had butter in it or something that made it chunky.
The Salad was basic as was the rice.
They charged $ 1 for a small amount of extra ginger.
Also didn’t like how the green tea was presented to me as a tea bag, small cup and hot water. I would have preferred a pot of water with the tea bag in it to dilute the potency and a cup. Oh well, I’m pretty picky when it comes to tea.
Service was good (friendly however English was hard to understand); went in around 530 on a Sunday night… they got really busy around 6.
The prices are very reasonable for the portions and taste!

Big fan. Welcoming service, fresh fish (as they better have!), and good value. Sat at sushi bar around 8:45 (they close at 9), and wasn’t rushed — they encouraged me to take my time! Great meal — would recommend trying the Fullmoon Roll I fully enjoyed the healthy version, but) for those who don’t worry about the additional calories — I bet it’s 10 X’s better than the unquestionably delish Healthy/​less exciting version.
Could use some more art/​warmth for atmosphere ambiance, but if ur looking for a great spot for sushi, I encourage u to try this gem!
