Went in today to grab a few supplies and they had exactly what I needed. I talked to an older guy about the great surf and how I wasn’t able to head out today. He was so friendly and was really welcoming. Great service compared to some other stores with 17 year-old«too cool to say hi or help you out» employees. Thanks for the great service.

I didn’t realize how good of a Hobie this was. There is a lot of great merchandise and enough sizes. The staff is very helpful as well. However, when I was trying on swim suits, I asked for a smaller size from the girl who at first was very attentive. While waiting in the room for my smaller size, for over 5 min I realized I had to go to appointment. As I was walking out of the room, I saw the sales girl chatting with another employee and the sales girl finally was like oh yeah we don’t have a smaller size in that top but we do in the bottom its right up there on the wall and you can try that on. She just pointed to the suit instead of actually getting it for me while I was waiting in the room. It was too late now because I had to go so I told her I had to go now and she seemed mad at me. It was very uncomfortable. Next time you are going to help someone, continue to help, don’t stop mid way through.

The shop has a decent selection though it is limited by the available space. You can generally find what you need but don’t expect any sales or great prices. You will be paying top retail $$ for anything you buy. The staff is friendly as expected at a surf shop though I find myself at a loss when i the shop. The selection is usually two brands per item at most and I feel like other larger shops are more worth the visit. Call me a bargain shopper but why pay $ 30 for a leash at Hobie that’s $ 17 at another store? I guess it’s the Wal Mart mentality.
