The pizza was gross. The sauce did not taste good at all. It tasted as though they opened a can of tomato paste and poured it on the dough added cheese and popped it in the oven. Theyd be better off popping in a digiorno pizza and selling it. one star because at least the soda was well carbonated.

Me and my family came here after our little walk around seaport village. Being locals I hesitated to eat at a what seemed to be tourist trap. I should have realized it wasn’t going to be up too par as the girl behind the counter couldn’t get her eyes off her phone to welcome guest. Once we received our pizza I could not but shake my head in disgust to a tasteless pie. The sauce seemed to have come straight out of a can and mixed with dry herbs to mask the tin can taste. At least it lived up to its name ASAGGIO meaning taste in Italian or I should say«tasteless.» I am not one to give bad reviews as I am a chef by profession. I just hope that the chef does something about the sauce as it was horrific.

We pizza snobs came back for another visit one year later and the deep dish is still über tasty! It took about 20 minutes for our pie to be made, but it was DELICIOUS. The hubby and I are still having a hard time finding good pizza, but we LOVE this place! I gave my compliments to the gentleman at the counter and he told me people take their pies all the way back to AZ or up to NorCal and freeze them. This place is THAT good! If you LOVE deep dish, try this place.

This has to be the absolute shit tasting pizza I ever ate. It made me sick. The only reason I went was because it has a Chicago theme. The girl taking orders was more interested in her phone than doing her order took forever to make. I ordered a N.Y. style pizza and it was more like a normal pizza. The crust was thick. The sauce was nasty as fuck. Basically the pizza was crap. I was going to have Hodads, but wanted pizza. Next time I’ll go to Basic Pizza.

12 inch Hot Eggplant Parm. Sub. Bread was toasty, spicy marinara sauce spread not oozing or sogging through the bread. Eggplant was sprinkled with parmesan and mozzarella. Get a to go container because one half of the sandwich is a meal by itself. It was busy Saturday, and my order was supposed to be 10 mins. but they had it ready quick.

Ordered the Sausage Calazone. Tasted ok but there was very little sausage. mostly just cheese. marinara sauce tasted bland. I would probably not choose to eat here again.

Great place for a boy trip, high counter-top type table with bar stools on the patio facing sunny San Diego Bay. :) Very good NY large Pizza, we got pepperoni, mushroom and sausage — great crust, sauce, and toppings. The Chicago style looks amazing, but it is a(big) personal size, can’t wait to go back and try it. Subs all looked legit to this New Yorker, pasta dishes too. A few good drafts being poured, great location to chill and watch people passing by on the bayside tourist trail. Free refills on soft drinks. So glad we went!

4 stars, San Diego is def not known for their pizza but my husband and I stopped by this place while in seaport village to get a quick bite. The pizza was very yummy crust was crispy and the cheese was my favorite part. It was gooey stringy real cheese and yummy ! It was a little spendy though 10 bucks for 2 slices and a drink. But still we will be going back they have a lot of stuff to try and everything looks yummy !

Basic pizza, pasta and calzones. Decent east coast fare on the west coast. Staff was friendly and the food came fast.

This place is hiding Behind the merry go round all the way in the back corner. Pizza is good, I would go back if I am in the area. It was missing something, maybe not enough meat… But not sure but it was good. It is the closest thing I have found outside of the famous pizza places in Chicago to Chicago style pizza. If you have never had a Chicago style pizza and you are in the area this would be a good place to try it.

This is a fast-food pizza place. Our sausage deep-dish pizza was just okay, lacked a lot of flavor. I thought there would be large pieces of sausage, but instead the meat was mixed in the sauce, like a marinara. I figured maybe they forgot the sausage, but the cook confirmed our order. There are better places in San Diego for pizza. Next time I’ll go to Little Italy.

Still can’t believe the low stars. We are here again, they had a Groupon 13 $ for $ 20 worth of food. We ordered a pepperoni deep dish pizza with homemade lasagna. As always, it was amazing. It’s ridiculously busy today, seaport village is really packed. There’s a line to get into the line. I airways expect a20 minute wait no matter how many people are there.

I went to this place because of the location I really love to walk around and go in to all the shops .I was craving Italian food and to be honest I did NOT check out the Unilocal reviews I was in a hurry .not a good decission on my part… so I found a groupon and tried it… so here are the pros and cons Pros: 1. Location cant be beat. there is out side seating and over looks the water, nice. 2.The young lady at the register was sweet and accommodating. 3. Got a slice of pizza and not greesy and the crust was good. Cons: 1. First of all the owner was grouchy. when he heard we had a groupon Im almost certain we got a not so good look… strange 2.The inside seating area is like a mediocre taco shop with approximately 4 tables. 3. The lasagna was nothing special same sauce as the spaghetti. Advice: Greet your customers with a smile at the very least. I understand this location is extremely touristy location and the majority of the customers you may never see again, however keep in mind not all of us are tourist and we may or may not be your next customers. We sat outside and when we were done we popped our head inside and thanked them and to have a nice night .The owner was there and not a peep …

We visited seaport village in the evening and after walking around and checking out the local shops it was time to eat. Our choice at the end of the night was the Asiaggo pizza or the Greek place nearby. We decided on the pizza. Classic tourist spot with greasy pizza that is priced high. On the plus side the garlic bread and the marinara sauce was very appetizing probably cause we were so hungry. The calzone was so tough that none in the group wanted to eat more than a bite. Overall a picture perfect tourist spot.
