B B Hair Art

We did our bridesmaids hair here and we’re able to get makeup done, too. Five people got their hair done into sweet updos, and four people got makeup done with Melissa too! Overall very professional and clean.

So I was just here like 30 mins ago… anyways I walk in… there is a lady cutting hair just a few feet from where I’m sitting… no one acknowledges me… I sit there going through some hair magazines .10 mins go by… a woman walks in and that same lady who was cutting hair says hi to her within 2 seconds of her stepping into the salon… and its not like she didnt see me or anything or that she was extremely busy because she did look up a few times and NOTHING.15 mins go by and finally a guy asks me if I had made an appointment and I said no… he starts looking for a business card finally finds one and says you need to make an appointment… not even saying sorry for the wait or anything. This place is pathetic…

I cheated on Bruce… with a Groupon for Elsie. Bruce has been my stylist for years but I bought a Groupon for BB Hair Art because I tried to save some money. Bruce then opened his own salon and was able to reduce his prices but I am not regretful. It was the end of the day for me and I was exhausted and I needed to use my Groupon before igt expired. I gave this establishment (mostly Elsie) the stars she deserves. #1. It was so easy to make an appointment with Elsie. She is a great communicator. #2 When I walked in, a gentleman working on someone’s do, greeted me and invited me to have a seat. #3 Elsie immediately introduced herself and said she would be right with me. #4 Awesome! Very punctual. Took me in at the appointment time. #5 Spent time and talked to me about what I wanted and how I liked my hair to look. #6 She gave me a great deep conditioning with wonderful smelling products. #7 She is a perfectionist! #8 she styled my hair so beautifully. If I could take her with me to do this every day, I would! #9 She offered me her e-​mail and said if there were styles or colors I liked, I could send her pictures. #10 VAVOOM I walked out of the salon looking like a million bucks. Everyone compliments me on my hair, even though I can’t get it quite like she did. It feels and looks great. She is an awesome stylist. Yes, I will return. I’m so sorry, Bruce. I still love ya!

I got an updo with Elsie at BB hair art for a wedding this weekend! She is really good. I showed her a picture of an updo that Jessica Alba did. She asked me what aspect I like about it and I told her the braid. She went to work at it. I told her I want some bangs for a softer look compared to the picture and she totally got it. Towards the end she ask me to tell her what i need fixing. Very approachable! I got lots of compliments for the updo! I will come back to her for updos!

Love this salon! Have tried a few places, but always find myself back here. There salon has a professional setting — gorgeous hardwood floors, friendly stylists, and always clean. Awesome styles/​products/​service for the price too!

Kristin did my make up for my wedding day and she did an amazing job! In additional to my makeup she did makeup for several members of my bridal party and family. Everyone looked so beautiful! My makeup stayed on throughout the entire day and I was so happy with her work.
My family has gone to Kristin’s salon for hair services for years, but this was the first time we had Kristin do our makeup. I would absolutely recommend her!

I feel like I have watched enough Salon Takeover to spot a good salon when I see one (at least I like to pretend I can). Although I’m not Tabatha Coffey (I have rocked her hairdo tho!), I feel like she’d give this place high marks. It’s clean, stylish, professional and I LOVED my haircut. Kristin cut my hair and did a stunning job (I got lots of compliments) and I never felt like she was rushing to get to the next customer. As an aside, I’m deathly allergic to PPD (Thankgiving day, emergency room, cortisone shots in the a**, eyes swollen shut for a week) a chemical that’s present in lots of hair dyes. She’s the first stylist that I’ve met that’s not only heard of it but said that the line they use in their salon doesn’t contain PPD as they’ve heard so many horror stories like mine. I love this place and I will be back!

Brought my son in here on Saturday for a much long overdo haircut.
Got in and out in less than 25 minutes and I can now welcome him back to civilization.
The haircut was exactly what we were hoping for (maybe me more than him) and the price was reasonable.

Just dropped in for a haircut today. Kristin cut my hair perfectly and she even washed most of my grey away in a quick 10 minute rinse treatment. Everyone at this salon is always so pleasant and the prices are very reasonable. Great location too with plenty of parking. I’ll definitely be back.

Kristin Nasrawi did the makeup for all the girls in my wedding! She is amazing and made us look ourselves… just more beautiful! I love Kristin’s professionalism and her prices are great!

First of all… very very expensive. I wanted really short hair and she told me that short will not look nice on curly hair… and trimmed it about qtr of an inch for $ 75!!!
Second, the lady told me that my hair looks a lot better curly than straight and just curled the whole thing up even more so than before, when I clearly told her that I would be straightening my hair. [It was for an occasion for which I specifically wanted straight hair] In any case It was partly my fault for not standing upto her I guess.

Courtney is an excellent stylist! She straightened my daughter’s hair and it looks great! She is a great person, too– someone that I wouldn’t mind leaving my 16 year old daughter with to get her hair done. I’m sort of an overprotective mom, so that’s saying a lot! Thanks Courtney!

The BEST and MOST AFFORDABLE extensions I’ve ever had!!! I’ve gone to 3 other «trendy» salons, and this place blew them out the water by sooo far. The hair itself is the best! It’s so soft and shiny and im super tough on my hair and it still, months and months later, looks great! Kristen puts them in (fast) and you can’t see the extensions AT ALL, even when I’m trying to show them to people, they’re like «Where? I don’t see it?» THATS AWESOME! She made it work with my budget and I left happy as a clam… and trust me, I’m a little difficult with a splash of frustrating when it comes to my hair. And Kristen at BB Hair Art is the best in CA. TOTALLY worth the drive! They do the same thing in Laguna for thousands $$$$$ more. This place has no competition. And the whole staff is SOOO SWEEETTTT!!! (and wayy talented)

I’ve been going to Kristen for almost 4 years now and she’s the ONLY person I trust with my hair. I was a «hair-​virgin» the first time I saw her, and went in for a simple flat-​iron style, and she transformed my kinky curls into ultra smooth straight hair! That was the first time anyone had been able to get my hair that straight and I was amazed. Since then she now has a beautiful salon in Rancho Penasquitos and I see her regularly for cuts, styles, and colors on my curly AND straight hair. If there’s a hair stylist that pays the utmost attention to detail, it’s her! She’s precise and knowledgeable with her styling skills, and has that inherent ability to know what style/​color will look good on someone. She’s approachable and honest with any hair questions you have, and is also really sweet and easy to talk to. I highly recommend her — after your first visit, you’ll be able to just trust her with your hair.

I loved the first haircut I got at this salon. I’ve been back a couple of times since then and have been disappointed. The staff is snoby and talks about their personal issues. Too much drama for me. A bit pricey too. $ 60 for a haircut. I’m not going back, I’ll keep looking for something affordable, professional and skillful.
