Just went there today, I usually don’t go here but after what happened I will definitely be back more often. I ordered a dirty chai cause I needed to wake up, when I received my drink he told me he added an extra shot just on the house. Definitely needed that today. The drive thru is the best especially, fast and good service.

We were looking for a new coffee place to try and found Badass Coffee… It was not that badass… The girl at the counter was super friendly and she let us sample their 3 iced coffee selections, plain and two beans that were flavored… We weren’t stoked about any of them, but decided on the coconut rum flavored bean… I guess it was better as a super small sample sip because when we got the large iced cup of it it was not very good. The flavor was too sweet, but not in a good way and I couldn’t even drink more then a few small sips of it. I guess the girl got side tracked because after she gave us our coffee she walked away and never rang us up(maybe I should have taken that as a sign because I ended up not drinking the majority of it). I rang the bell and another girl came and I told her we never paid and she was very nice too and said thank you for being honest. I did like that they used coffee ice cubes and wish more places did that. The inside was festively decorated and had several seats. Maybe if I happened to be in the area I would give them another try, maybe…

I saw drive through and pulled in!!! If your like SMOKEY coffee then go here if you don’t like smokey coffee go somewhere else. The medium Kona blend was ok for me it’s not to strong but has a nice kick. I also ordered egg and cheese on a jalapeño bagel and it was really good. The coffee and sandwich cost about $ 6.25. I would defiantly go back for coffee the sand which doesn’t go with my diet.

So far this is one of my favorite coffee shops in Sand Diego, I’ll take a drive here rather than to Starbucks any day! Not only is the staff friendly, but the environment is so cute! And the coffee is great!

Ah! Every time I’m in the area, I cannot control myself! I have to stop by and grab a cup of brew! I love how it’s a drive thru! Not only do they offer coffee, but also acai bowls! Which I was really impressed about! The unique thing about this coffee shop is, the ice cubes are actually coffee cubes! Like what??? And it definitely makes a difference, it doesn’t water down your coffee, unlike other coffee places. It sucks that theirs only one location… Well that I know of! They should definitely expand throughout San Diego! :)

So very, very DISAPPOINTING. There was no one in line when I got there, yet it still took over 5 minutes for someone to take my order. The barrister was preparing an order for someone else and instead of taking our order so we can go and sit down and wait for our order she kept us waiting and waiting to place our order. Well it did not get any better after that either. We WAITED and WAITED to receive our order too. The whole experience was a very, very NEGATIVE one. VERY, VERYDISAPPOINTING.

Used to live in Rancho Penisquitos, I was a little surprised I didn’t have a review already on this place. Good, strong, bold coffee. You can order in the shop or through the drive thru. Beware this drive thru is a little tricky. This week I ordered the Hawiian blend Au Lait. It was pretty good. As I was driving off… a voice trailed in the distance«stay bad ass.»

Great place! I’ve only ever had the caramel vanilla latte which is always great. I love that their ice cubes are made of coffee! More places should do that. It’s a bit pricey, for one drink is more than $ 4 but I guess that’s around the same with Starbucks. Staff is always pretty friendly, but I always have to wait a lil bit. Lots of people studying inside.

They have a mind boggling extensive menu of coffee options with a Hawaiian theme. With so many possible add ins, their coffees can get quite expensive. Read about their coffee ice cubes so had to order the iced coffee. Also ordered a coffee frap With no additional add ins. Good coffee but might be a bit too expensive for daily indulgence.

While they have a great menu, very extensive and I love the fact that they use coffee ice cubes so it is not watered down, I did not love the quality of flavors in our iced coffee. Using just coffee and syrups it has a very artificial taste and I miss the creaminess from the milk. Not a huge fan of syrups in general and that is all you taste here. Love that they have large sizes available and that the large comes with 4 shots is fantastic, I will just have to try something else next time, the iced is a pass. Also this location is super hot inside, seems like they have no A/C so plan on taking it to go, not very comfortable inside.

FIRSTIMPRESSIONS Kitschy, a little corny, and pouring some tasty coffee.(PROTIP: their ice cubes are really frozen coffee cubes!!) THEGRIND Aloha island feel inside a sub-urban coffee shop. Knowledgable baristas. Tasty snacks. Alternative sweeteners. Exclusively Hawaiian beans. THEVERDICT While not my go-to purveyor of one of the worlds most addictive substances(read: caffeine), this shop holds a special place in my heart for reminding me of good times and good people.

Came here on a Saturday morning, and unfortunately s very warm and sunny day. The inside of the store isn’t too big, probably about 6 small tables. When we walked in, there was a large group occupying most of the tables. The two small tables inside were also occupied. I ordered an ice coffee and a breakfast croissant with egg, cheese, and bacon. After ordering, all tables inside were taken. Outside, there are a few small tables, but those that had shade were also taken. I lasted about 5 mins in the sun and was debating changing the order to go. Fortunately a small table opened up just as our food was ready. The croissant sandwich was good, but I thought the egg would have been scrambled. Instead, the yolk was not fully cooked(medium cooked). If I had known, I definitely would have asked for a well cooked egg. The coffee was good, and I especially loved the coffee ice cubes. You also get a couple coffee candy which turned out to be pretty good. The inside isn’t that big, so it can get crowded. People were standing waiting for tables to open up, because it was way too hot to sit out in the sun. They do have a drive thru available too. I would definitely come back! I would like to try the blended drinks next.

To celebrate National Coffee Day I came by Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii this morning. This is located near the 15 and 56 in the area of PQ. I was going to do the order for pickup via Unilocal, but ended up just ordering through the drive-thru. The wait time isn’t too bad and reminds me of the drive-thru at Starbucks locations. The worker was nice and the drink I had was very good. I ended up doing the *Snickerlicious* in the 24 oz which was about 6 bucks. this drink was strong and sweet and perfectly iced. I’ll definitely come back. it was the perfect way to jumpstart my day! :)

We decided to give this place a try and opted to go through the drive thru since we were out and about. The coffee shop is right off the freeway and easily accessible. From the drive thru window, the inside looks nice with it’s Hawaiian themed décor. There’s seating inside and outside. Staff was nice. We were greeted with an «aloha» and sent off with«have a bad ass day!» We tried two drinks. The first was the hot Kreme de Kona(dark and white chocolate with vanilla). The drink was super hot when we got it, which was fine, but we just had to wait a bit to give it a try. The second was the ice blended Snickerlicious(dark chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut). Not too sweet, but you could taste the flavors while still having a nice coffee taste. Our first impressions of this place — we wouldn’t say they were the greatest drinks we’ve had, but both were good. We would stop by again if we were in the area. But, we wouldn’t go out of our way to get coffee here. I’m sure we’ll be back sometime to try other flavors.

If you get the ice coffee, they serve it with ice cubes infused with coffee, so I ordered it. I did, I did, I really did and it was fantastic. I ordered a 16 oz iced Americano with absolutely no room and extra ice! The Americano certainly had a great flavor with it s rich espresso flavor only to be accented by the coffee infused ice cubes. The ice cubes were keen because even as the cubes melted, they kept feeding the Americano with more coffee and flavor. Hence, the Americano remained strong and rich throughout my drinking of it. The place offers a good amount of seating inside and outside. They also offer a drive thru with quick service I observed. They print their WiFi password right on the bottom of your receipt if you need it. Service was very upbeat and friendly. By the way, I did not need a refills because that 16 oz iced Americano had e zinging.

I have got to say I am SOIMPRESSED with this business. After I left my negative review I called them as well because I was pretty upset about my drink and they made it right so fast I was shocked. He asked me to come back in after work and gave me a gift card for a free drink and a cute coffee mug. Way more than Id expect I just wanted a good drink. He also said he was going to retrain his baristas with almond milk because he wasn’t ok with the picture he saw.

We’ve driven past Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii many times but never thought much of this coffee shop. It’s in a such a weird location with a drive thru too. Sis and I would make fun of the name(I mean when was the last time you saw ASS in a business name) but would never stop in to try their coffee. I was in this part of town recently and paid a quick visit to this quirky-ly named coffee shop. It was such a fun atmosphere and their menu board contributed even more to that. Maybe I’m just a sucker for any animals drawn with crayons though. I decided to order a large unsweetened iced coffee. It’s been long enough since I’ve had one and decided today was the day I was going to treat myself. I tend to eavesdrop when people talk(it’s a gift) and my eyes lit up when I heard ‘coffee ice cubes’. This is brilliant and I’ve never seen it offered at a coffee shop before. I’ve heard of it(DIY and Martha Stewart probably). I can’t express how much I love coffee ice cubes because with an iced coffee drink, the drink is usually 80% plain ol’ ice made from plain ol’ water which when melted, makes the ice coffee taste like, surprise, plain ol’ water. Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii made a terrific version as it wasn’t acidic and had a very smooth finish. And guess what — it was one of THEBEST iced coffees I’ve ever had. I usually nurse my ice coffee as I like the caffeine to get me through the day so the version here was special as the coffee ice cubes made this drink last til its very last drop. The drink was $ 3.04(after tax) and I tipped $ 1 using my credit card. I read previous reviews about erroneous tip charges so I’ve been checking my credit card statement. So far so good — no weird charges at all. I can’t wait to come back here to order this iced coffee again. It made me appreciate these smaller coffee chains. They have free wifi and the shop wasn’t all that busy during my late afternoon weekday visit. I just looked and they open at 5:30a(for those crazies out there that wake up that early).

I came here off an adamant recommendation of a friend who knew I would be in the area for some business. When pulling up, I loved that they had a drive-thru wrapping around the building for people who need to get in and out without the line. +1 star I had one of the breakfast sandwiches ordered at around 3PM in the afternoon, and despite this the sandwhich still came handmade on a fresh and hot croissant. +1 Ordered a mocha(name I sadly forgot) that was half white and half normal frozen mocha. Normally a drink like this would be a bit overwhelmingly sweet, but the Hawaiian flavored beans mellowed it out to the perfect profile. +1 The water dispenser had a freakin FRUITINFUSER. +2 Friendly staff free wifi, ukulele music in the background, and live music on occasion +1 What’s that, 6 stars you say? Bad Ass coffee is that… well…Bad Ass that it doesn’t need your rating system to hold back how cool it is. 6 stars it is!
