Blue Bazar

This is a beautiful Japanese tableware and gift shop located in the same store as a Japanese pharmacy Super Health. In the shopping mall with Yakiniku Tsuruhashi and Original Pancake House.
They definately have a better selection than any of the other stores in the area. They have items from local artists like Kota Shimazaki and another local artist who uses shells from the shores of San Diego in her works. Very pretty and creative. I think a lot of the authentic Japanese restaurants in the area buy from here. They also have kimono skirts and other Japanese gift items.
Hiroko (the owner) and her staff are very helpful and fun to talk to (in both Japanese and English!) They know a lot about Japanese table ware AND GREAT places to eat! They also have flower arrangement classes, English classes, egg art classes and other classes in a classroom right behind the shop so it may be a great way to meet people if you just got to San Diego!
