We ate here for lunch and it was amazing. There were about 10 people in front of us to order, but it was fast. We got our food in about 10 minutes. I got the pastrami sandwich($ 8.50) and it was one of the best sandwiches I have had, there was so much meat. Their secret sauce was great. Can’t wait to eat here again. My wife loved her Baha Chicken sandwich. Very reasonably priced.

Always enjoy coming here for a quick bite to eat. Their service is always friendly & their sandwiches are sooooo good. I’ve only gotten a salad here once & it wasn’t amazing, but their sandwiches definitely make up for it! Very reasonably priced for how excellent their sandwiches are. I was very happy to find a Board & Brew so close to my house in Orange County after I moved from San Diego. Board & Brew will definitely continue to have my business!

Board and Brew continues to impress me with their quality of sandwiches and their customer service. I always get the tuna here and I’m super picky about tuna at other establishments. Their squaw bread is always sweet and soft, I never need to get it toasted. I also love that they carry sprouts, it’s amazing with their Tina! I also love their quality of turkey, it’s true quality you can taste verses some chains where it tastes cheap or lacking of flavor. As some chains get cheaper with their food quality when they open more stores, I’m happy to see I’m sill getting my quality sandwich that is consistent with what I like. Service is always with a smile, timely and friendly, which is appreciated! The owners of this place really seem to care about good customer service which is why I drove all the way from North Park for them. Keep up the good cheer and eats!

Having been a regular at the original Del Mar location since the early 80’s, and still frequenting that location whenever I need my Turkey Deluxe fix, I was a little reluctant to try the PB location. I was afraid that they would not have the same standards as Tom has maintained in Del Mar. However, I decided to treat my team to lunch today, 24 sandwiches, half of them special ordered, and all I can say is that PB «NAILEDIT!» The sandwiches were top notch, identical to Del Mar and not one mistake in the bunch. I think my employees will all be hitting the PB location up on a regular basis!

Before I forget, Courtney… best service ever! Abraham… chef and put together a sandwich evenly with a smile right at closing for me. You all have amazing service including a newbie that smiled and had a great attitude really motivated. Wow I love this place and good prices. Paid $ 6.50 for a big cali turkey with sprouts. Could feed two! I live two blocks away and have member been in here and because of the hospitality at close and unforgettable service, I’ll be a regular. Thanks team!

Just came at 8:20pm to get a sandwich to find the shop closed. Everything they have says 9pm closing. Damn shame.

Have to say I am not impressed at all. Still willing to give another chance. I got take out so maybe they aren’t as good? However, the bread is not fresh, looks like it was thrown together, very sloppy. And I got the simplest turkey sandwich. I was hoping for a lot more!

This is a great place to go for lunch. Love the fact that they have outdoor seating– perfect for a warm sunny day! I usually get the Turkado sandwhich. It is delicious– the bread is always soft and the ingredients are fresh. The portion sizes are large. Service is quick and friendly. Make sure you try their orange sauce, it is so good! I will definitely be back. So happy that they finally opened a location closer to home!

My spouse and I were walking around PB, hungry, and he says, «We should try this place, the one in Del Mar is really good.» Yikes! The tuna sandwich was so bad that we threw half of it in the trash. It had NO flavor at all… just a lump of cold nothingness. I make better tuna salad at home. I was expecting so much more considering all these reviews! The other sandwich we had was ok, though.

Board & Brew is easily my go-to sandwich place in San Diego for big portioned, fresh, and tasty sandwiches. The best thing about this joint is their special sauce, which is a sweet and savory orange sauce that is the perfect ingredient for making your sandwich extraordinarily satisfying. I’m usually craving cold sandwiches when I go so I can personally vouch for the Turkado(Turkey and Avocado), Roast Beef, and Tuna sandwiches. My friend always goes for the Baja Chicken, which is also delicious! Their sandwiches are all packed with meat, and they’re probably the best bang for your buck. This location is near The Baked Bear, Fat Fish, Urban Outfitters, and Brandy Melville in PB so it’s a great place to grab some lunch if you’re in the PB area or exploring PB at all. The best thing is the fresh ingredients. Definitely aiming to try out the rest of the menu over time!

For a while I steered clear of this place cause I thought it would be a standard run of the mill rinky dink sandwich shop. Then one day, I don’t remember why I gave them a chance, but my mind was changed forever. Every time I come here, everybody working is SO nice and so accommodating. I like to ride my bike down to the beach and the stop here on my way home and bring back something tasty. My favorite of everything I’ve tried is the California Delight. It’s so simple and yummy and doesn’t make me feel guilty. I am obsessed with their special sauce! Get some and thank me later! They also have Maui onion chips so aloha to that!

My wife and I were on vacation in Mission Beach in San Diego and took the mile and a half walk up to Pacific Beach. There have been multiple restaurants on the corner of Garnet and Mission Blvd., but I think this one will stick. I thought, sandwiches and beer?! My two favorite things! Unfortunately they don’t have their liquor license yet, but they did have a good lunch special for about 6 bucks for a soda, chips and a half a sandwich. I got the blue cheese and buffalo wing kettle chips and a Turknado. The chips were amazing and the Turknado was huge for half a sandwich and the bread was super fresh with lots of turkey and avocado. Seriously an AMAZING sandwich. The counter dude was some teenager that was super cool. Very nice and made sure everything was A-OK. Loved this place, just minus one star for making me think I could have great San Diego Craft Beer with my awesome sandwich. If I could go 4.5 I would. I hope this place sticks around!

Wow. I’m hooked on this place! I tried this place for the first time about a month ago thanks to one of my coworkers. On the day’s I don’t bring lunch to work I order from here; it has become my go-to place. There’s not enough words to describe how fresh the ingredients taste. I work in La Jolla, but I don’t mind driving to PB to get them sandwiches! My favorite items are the Turkado and the Baja chicken. The avocado always tastes so fresh on the Turkado. The marinated chicken on the Baja chicken goes so well with the jalapeño peppers! Both sandwiches are really tasty just the way they are, but recently I decided to add sprouts to both and it made them even more delicious! So if you’re feeling adventurous, I’d recommend adding the sprouts. The sandwiches are pretty big, I usually will eat one half for lunch and save the other half for dinner unless I’m really hungry. They just taste so good though, that sometimes its hard to stop eating them even if I’m already full! They also give you this sauce that’s kinda sweet, but with a kick to it — DELICIOUS! I always call for take out or order online and the staff is always very friendly and they always get my modifications and substitutions right. Thank you Board and Brew for providing me with a healthier, yet very tasty option for lunch.

Board & Brew is currently just Board. Like deli cutting board? I’m not entirely sure. But anyways this location doesn’t have any brew due to PB’s high concentration of alcohol-selling establishment. This really does not affect me in the slightest, just thought I’d share the knowledge told to me by the cashier. Many people have suggested I try their amazing sandwiches, but for some reason the menu did not really look that great. I obviously ordered something anyways because you cant judge a sandwich by the menu. Even though my friend and I ordered 5 or so minutes before the crowd, it took a relatively long time to get our food… Oh it was worth it. My Baja Wrap was overflowing with avocado — it is nice to know they don’t skimp on the vegetable that so many restaurants attempt to rip you off with. Literally everything in the wrap was just so delicious. The jalapeños were not too hot(even though I like spicy), so no need to worry about burning your tongue. Mmm, and that special sauce adds an appropriate amount of sweetness to anything on the menu(I can imagine, considering I have not tried everything on the menu). It may be a little premature to base rating this place so highly on just one sandwich. My friend devoured his sandwich, and nobody in the restaurant cringed while eating, so five stars doesn’t seem too far off. I have already begun thinking of excuses to venture to PB just to eat more Board(& Brew).

YUM! So happy that we decided to try Board & Brew today. Boyfriend and I went out looking for a quick fresh eat on Sunday and we forgot that it was Memorial Day weekend/graduation day for a lot of the local universities which means places are packed and busy. I have walked by Board & Brew since it opened a few months ago but had never made it in. Well we walked and the place was poppin. Busy, busy but now I understand why! There was no line to order so I walked right up and ordered the Chicken club sub and my bf had the italian sub. They are about $ 6.95-$ 795 in price range. You get a number and they bring them to you. We waited for a few minutes and our subs came out. The chicken club was perfect and a good size. It comes on a large baguette, with thin strips of chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. I really liked that the chicken was sliced thin and the bacon was crispy also the nice green shredded lettuce. I must say Board & Brew is my new Favorite SUBPLACE. I had a bite of my bf’s italian sub which was nice but I think I got the better order. Looks like Board & Brew has been around in the North County areas for some time(Del Mar, Carlsbad.) very happy they decided to venture south. Tip** Not serving beer yet, but looks like they are working on it.

I am no doubt a fan of the other Board & Brews around town and this visit to this new location in Pacific Beach just reinforced my aficionado status. In this visit, I ordered the off the menu or secret menu BLT in Squaw bread with light mayo. The BLT was great. I think most would find the amount of crispy bacon in the sandwich as on point, but me who loved to eat sandwiches staked with its protein, felt it could of used just one more layer of bacon. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the BLT very much and best of all, the bacon was terrific. Also, the squaw bread was lightly toasted but retained its moist characteristic. The lettuce was fresh and crisp and the tomatoes were ripe and juicy. They use shredded lettuce so it does tend to fall out of the sandwich. The small amount of mayo on the sandwich was just right for this sandwich lover. This is a very busy Board and Brew with a prime location on the corner of Mission Blvd. and Garnet, so the employees were not surprisingly very up beat and keeping things moving along. In fact, I was impressed how quickly they were bringing out sandwiches to customers and cleaning up tables as customers left. Well done. Just a little more bacon.

I couldn’t be happier that Board & Brew has finally opened in PB, so I don’t have to drive all the way to Del Mar for a delicious sandwich and some secret sauce anymore! Board & Brew is definitely the best choice if you’re in the mood for a quick sandwich that isn’t overpriced, and it has a great new location in PB right next to Baked Bear near all of the bars. I have come here 2 times since they opened, and everyone working there seems to have jumped right into the swing of things. My roommates and I all grabbed dinner at Board & Brew last night for their«grand opening» since they were doing buy 1, get 1 free sandwiches all day($ 4 dinner… can’t complain)! I got the Baja Wrap, which is my favorite choice on the menu because it has the perfect amount of spicy-ness and avocado. My roommate got the Veggie Supreme on the squaw bread, and it came with so much avocado. It looked unreal, so I will definitely be trying that one soon! Also, the Baja Chicken Sandwich and Turkado are excellent, too. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the sandwiches on the menu. The only mistake you can make is not asking for extra sauce! They should sell that stuff by the bottle!
