Denny’s

Coffee was burned, incredibly slow service. Was asked twice if we wanted more coffee before a server came to get our order (only after I made eye contact with them). He asked if we were ready, even though our menus had been down and closed for close on 10 minutes.

This place has really bad service. As soon as we 0 aid our bill our waiter left and we never got any service b after that. When we asked the manager Alex he said our waiter left… don’t go here. warning!!!

Was seated by the manager… And NEVER given a damn menu or greetedby the servers. So we left after 15 minutes of waiting. The methhead white lady with a damn tattoo on her head, was the most tard that did not give a damn about customers. No wonder she is earning minimum wage. Dirty ass tables, and was not cleaned before. Don’t go to this place if you want to smell like dried vagina afterwards also.

Everytime we ever come to this location, we get the best service by Angelo. He’s always so attentive and friendly. No matter how busy the place is or not at all… hes always there when you need anything. Even if we just make a to go order he’s super nice and gets the order right every time. Thanks Dennys for always having good food at the right price.

The staff greeted and seated me quickly. Table was clean and not cluttered. Very friendly and polite staff. My order was brought out hot and fresh in about 10 minutes and tasted so yummy! I will definitely be back for lunch and dinner while I’m staying next door at the Holiday Inn Express. Thank goodness they are open 24 hours, just in case I can’t sleep and get a craving for mozzarella sticks.

The simplicity of life is conformed through the acknowledgment of the Denny’s chain. Why am I here? What does all this mean? Who framed Roger Rabbit? These questions relate to where Dennys is located.
I’m sitting in this one because its convenient location off the freeway. I’m here because the late night menu and restrooms. What does it mean? Well, I need substance for my extra curricular activities and a pit stop. I would of gone to the Gentleman’s club but I fear their food and lighting is sub-​par and I don’t want to fall asleep while talking to another lady.
Anywho… I’m enjoying the pumpkin pie and coffee.
However, I am not really enjoying the biscuits and gravy. I don’t think the breakfast is bad… I’m just a snob for scrumptious gravy you can chew and chase with a fork. «Build your biscuits… build them well»
As for the staff. I like them here. They’re happy, pleasant and non-​harassing.

Hands down the best Denny’s ever. There is this gentleman that usually works there during the night shift and I gotta say his service makes me want to keep on coming back. He is a cool fella that has the patience to deal with many under the influence customers, which is amazing. He makes the whole dining experience very pleasant. As for the food, it’s also amazing. The cooks never fail to execute each dish perfectly.

I put one star but I meant zero. Absolute worst service. They undercooked our eggs twice. We had to make the same requests multiple times before the waiters came through. Their credit machine went out so the cashiers tried taking rubbings of our card numbers and security codes so they could «put it in later». Very sketchy place. Go to the dennys in RB over this one.

This is absolutely the worst Denny’s we have ever been to. Terrible service: inattentive, slow, and not accommodating. Tables that sat down after us were getting their food first and we waited over 40 minutes for our meal. We asked to speak with the manager and who could have cared less. He offered no explanation or apology for the terrible service. He also offered no compensation or reduction in our check. When we went to check out, the manager barely said a word. Do your self a favor and skip this Denny’s– head to the one 5 minutes away in Kearny Mesa where the service and food are much better.

Nice remodel. Clean. But can someone crank up the AC? It’s hot in here! The booths are so small. I’m glad I’m not overweight but I feel claustrophobic.

Breakfast tastes so good at 2:00am. Being open 24 hours, Denny’s is a good spot for those late night munchies. Moons over my hammy all the way. Sometimes I ask for bacon on the side and put it in my sandwich also. My boyfriend’s go-​to item is the Country Fried Steak. Every time we go, he would tell me he’s getting something different and at the last moment in front of our server, changes his mind and gets the same thing.
This location in Mira Mesa is right off the 15 and has a large sign you can’t miss. This place is good for groups. Of course that have the traditional claw game, where they tease you with awesome prizes that are impossible to win.
Go here for quick diner ish food. Also they have good prices. And good strawberry lemonade.
Service is fairly quick, depends on the amount of diners.

Midnight pancakes are the best! The male server who is usually there nights is great and always so attentive and welcoming. Food took a long time to come out but it’s okay they’re great

When I don’t feel like cooking breakfast or want a big breakfast I always come here because it’s close by and also I like it here as well. Not too packed when I went but that was a weekday though which is good because when I’m hungry I don’t like to wait. Their pancake portions are pretty big and delicious. I hardly get anything here but the breakfast.

I had a hunger for some late night food and I should’ve gone Mexican instead of Denny’s. Even though there wasn’t much of a crowd at night, the wait staff here seems like they don’t care very much. I had to wait over 15 mins to get a table while the waitresses were just walking back and forth tending to just one table. Once seated, we were given a menu and didn’t see the wait staff come back for another 20 mins. I played some paper football with the sugar packets while waiting and was able to finish one full game. I always go for the eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, which is part of the grand slam deal. I requested the eggs over easy, but they came back completely cooked-​hardly a runny yoke. The pancakes were dry until I had to drench them in the syrup. The bacon was crunchy to the point of chewing small overcooked rocked. The sausage was the silver lining, which was tender and tasty. We were only given water once and never was asked for a refill. I thought requesting for the check after we were done would be easy, but that entailed another 15 – 20 mins wait, while there were only 3 other tables dining at the same time. A part of me blames the waitress, but I also blame the owner who was too cheap to hire another waiter on the night shift. All in all, I should’ve gotten Mexican food instead. At least it’s FAST food.

Customer service like shit!!! The manager took my order so I been wait like 15 minutes. The lady said here all your food but they missed my strawberry milk shake. I told her I had strawberry milk shake too she went back to do my order. Nothing big deal if like that, so another lady come over told me that not your food, I told her I been order strawberry milk shake too so I show her the recipe. She look up on computer and do something and she give it to me another bill. I told her I payed already then she give me attitude really??? So that not your food she took the bag from my hand (WTF). But that is my food

Ah, Denny’s — that reliable diner standby that’s open 24 hours, no matter the occasion. My mom and I had come here this past Mother’s Day after going to the movies due to her wanting some coffee and dessert at a place that offered table service. With me being the good, dutiful son that I am, I obliged… even though I hadn’t been to a Denny’s location in years.
My mom got a slice of apple pie a la mode, and I went with a half order of Zesty Nachos (topped with sour cream, pepper jack queso, ground beef, pico de gallo, and cheddar cheese). While my mom liked her pie and caramel coffee, the amount of toppings on the nachos made them soggy to the point where I couldn’t finish them.
But the reason this Denny’s gets a 4-​star despite my soggy nachos and the lack of wi-​fi (we actually saw a group of three leave because there was no wi-​fi or outlets available) was because of our server Leigh. She sat down with us and before long we were sharing stories of customer service and her experiences at this Denny’s and the other locations she works at (she’s a head server — her expertise shows). The story she told about how one of her servers had seated an off-​duty cop and his date next to a bunch of stoners on purpose totally had me laughing! (And no, he didn’t bust the stoners.)
Comfy seats, decent food, and one heck of a great server — yep, I’ll be coming here if I’m in the mood for a Moons over My Hammy! One more thing — Denny’s does have take out service, which may come in handy if the group of smelly game players Leigh warned us about are inside…

Came here for an early dinner. Seems like my husband likes coming here. LOL!
There were parking spots specifically assigned to Denny’s as we pulled up to park. When we walked in, it took a few minutes for someone to seat us. The waiter was nice. He sat us down to a booth in a corner. He gives us menus and takes our drink order. I always get an iced tea. There was a lemon wedge dropped in my tea. I immediately take it out. I actually squeeze the lemon juice in my tea. I decide to order a full plate of nachos. I should have ordered half. When it came, it was a huge order of nachos. Wow! The meat had a little spicy kick to it but it tasted great with the cheese, sour cream and chopped green onions on top. I could not finish it so I ended up boxing it up. It tasted great!
Service was a little slow as they were not too busy. The waiter was good about refilling our drinks. A waitress came by with a pitcher of iced tea and refilled mine and the girl who sat at the booth behind us. Husband asked for a cup of soup but it never came. I guess the waiter forgot but he did give take home cups for my daughter’s apple juice and my husband’s soda. Very nice. Seems like all the Denny’s we go to aren’t busy and seem slow. At least the restaurant was not packed with people.

Best spaghetti and meatballs on the west coast. The service is promp, Courteous, and very down to earth. They are open late

I think that this has got to be the rudest server I’ve ever had period ! It’s completely empty in here an soon as I sat down the host had to ask her three times an then she started bitching, I had to get up an get my own mustard, I’ve said thank you every single time she’s been to my table an not one you’re welcome or anything just set the food down an walked off ! I’ll have her name to post on here before I leave. Avoid her !
Her tip if you’re that miserable at your job serving then get a new one !

Worst customer service hands down period.
I went in about 3 months around 7:30am, was only in the area for a few minutes so had to order To Go. I’m a really simple person and order really simple as well. I order a of mozzarella cheese sticks as well as a cheeseburger plain with only cheese, simple enough. Well needless to say it took quiet a while to get my order, but that was not my issue.
When I arrived at my job site I found a «cheeseburger» that looked like something you would find in a natural history museum. I wish I could have gone to talk to a manager but I was already across town. I contacted corporate and they followed up with a «we’ll look into it» and «please send us photos». I did, got a «we’re looking into it» email. And have never heard from them since.
So I’ll post some photos and maybe this freezer burned burger that looks worst than most fast food restaurants…
