Denny’s

This restaurant is really awesome! (^・・^) I got very full when I finished my meal. The employees are super nice and pleasant especially Laisha, she’s extremely nice to me and professional! (｡･･｡) I would like her to be my waitress again when I go there.

Don’t order takeout! Today I ordered something to go. When I noticed my food was just sitting on the counter not only was it not covered with a lid, it was super cold ! In my eyes this is a food hazard please correct that Dennys.

I’m going to get right to the chase: the tall, black, large manager, with a short haircut, in his early 40s to mid 50s, seemingly sullen eyed (no need to over think it whoever is reading this at the business, assuming you do — you know who I’m talking about if he’s still fortunate enough to be employed), is obnoxious and a completely incompetent liability in terms of the principals of customer service who doesn’t need to be in charge of your restaurant no matter what time of the night it is. Now this was a while ago, and I’m sure he won’t remember me; but I am a President of a software company. When me and my guest came there for a normal businesses matter, we expected a normal experience. However, after ordering an item with a certain addendum (which the restaurant was apparently out of); the item came without that addendum, and no one seemed the wiser. It wasn’t until we asked that the waiter (after our dinner had arrived) admitted that they were out of it (which would have changed the order entirely had we known). I sent the waiter for the manager, because it wasn’t the waiters fault if he wasn’t told.
The manager of course acted incredulous and smarter than he really had a right to act given that this ordering of an item that his restaurant was out of happened on his watch. I did everything to remain polite and in control to keep my guest (who is significantly more direct) from jumping in on the obviously condescending conversation. The manger was never going to win the day on this matter, so it’s a wonder why he thought arguing was in his best interest but it was night time and perhaps he was frustrated, and he saw another younger black man and he thought he could ‘talk him down’. That was a poor decision overall. All said, he did take the meal off of the check, but never apologized; and that’s why this review will go live.
My mother worked for Denny’s for more than 12 years — this manager ought to be ashamed of himself for this poor display of customer service management. Simply poor form.
Also; unless this guy is something of a ‘God’ figure in this store that is untouchable by the powers that be — I expect a response with some manner of recourse of his actions; or I will replicate this same review with the same star-​count, since I’ll assume that you have not heard me the first time. I live within driving distance of this particular Denny’s, and don’t intend to deprive myself of (what is normally) an enjoyable experience because of an ineffectual and/​or overly self-​important night manager.
I look forward to your prompt response. As I don’t see any responses to any OTHER less than positive reviews — that’s pretty much a referendum on how much the restaurant cares about social media, and respects the affect it has on their bottom line.
Oh well — your loss.

Wost place. Been waiting for 30 mins hour for just some pancakes? Are you kidding me. Dont come to this shitty ass place!

Wow for once in a long time the customer service was a 5! Thanks to Laisha. I she did an amazing job and made our good taste that much better by brightening our day with smiles! Thanks Laisha for everything!

Wanted to just drop by somewhere and have a quick meal. Came on a sunday around 10:30 am and obviously expected a good amount of people. There actually werent as many people as expected so when we checked in they said wait would be 15 – 20 minutes for 2. 15 – 20 minutes turned into half an hr. We got seated and our waiter took about 6 minutes to acknowledge us, said hed be with us soon. 5 minutes later he got to us. Didnt even introduce himself! Just asked what we would have. I understand youre busy but at least acknowledge us as youre passing by. Our food didnt take too long to come out at least. We ordered a build your own sampler and ordered a cheese quesadilla, chicken strips and cheese sticks. Only 2 pieces of small chicken. Really call it a sampler at that point. Also, ordered a club sandwich and it was whatever. I probably couldve made a better one at home. Nothing about this place made me want to come back.

Double check your receipts!
Came in late night for some breakfast and they decided to charge us for things we didn’t order and didn’t even put in the correct order. Ordered a stack of pancakes and the waiter brings out an everyday grand slam plate, and when told that it’s not what I ordered the waiter thought it was acceptable to respond back with an attitude saying it’s the same price and he «gave me extra» but it wasn’t the same price or what I asked for.
Overall, I’d recommend you to double check your receipts when you come here. Service needs improvement on how to treat customers regardless of what time of day it is.

Service was faster than expected for a Saturday morning. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive to our needs (even though we were a group of 15). Food came out really fast and nice and hot. We didn’t have to ask for a refill not once because our waiter was on top it. Great job!

I normally eat here after a night of drinking and get treated great but the morning service is the worst! I ordered a veggie burger with minimal fixings and almost got served a beef pattie, had shitty made hash browns, and the completely wrong bun. I know, first world problems, but if I’m paying $ 10 for a burger when the restaurant is empty, please get it right dammit. And to top it all off, the freaking patty wasn’t even cooked through! Never again.

One of my favorite Denny’s! Even though it’s always busy but all the employees are super nice and very attentive! The location is well maintained and I’ve never had an issue with the mess.
When I came in today I was served by Laisha and she was very sweet! She helped my grandma and I with any request and she joked with my grandma a lot; it made her day. Her service is the kind of service that really sticks with you. I’ll definitely be sure to look out for her next time I come.
Food is always good. Love the to go cups for drinks and of course always satisfied.

Came here to get something Sweet, I have been craving sugar all day! I got the Santa’s milk and cookies shake but I wanted to modify it! DOROTHY, was so sweet and as she walked around assisting others I seen just how sweet she was aswell. Interacting with the children but keeping up with everything at the same time. Thank you Dorothy for your awesome service and yummy shake!

5 minutes after eating my son was outside throwing up, did anyone bother to ask? NO! He ordered fish and fries and he kept saying the food was really gross so finally beofre we left I took a bite and the fish was SPOILED, ROTTEN. Also, my omlette was extremely undercooked and make me sick as well. No refills, bugs crawling around, and someone decided to vacume right next to our table while we were eating. You can hear the staff laughing and talking about people. Take the extra time and go to the one in North Park or Mission valley. This place was a joke!

The food does take a while to get on the table but it’s understandable as this restaurant always seems to be busy every time I’m here. The workers here are great. They are mechanically attentive, but that’s attentiveness, nevertheless. The Sirloin Beef is just unbeatable — consistently well marinated and grilled every time I am here. The garlic bread pieces are a little pricey, but their taste does make up for it. Overall a great place to dine in. I would recommend this place for those who are craving for some good steak — and garlic bread (I haven’t ordered anything else since I knew this place, their steak is THAT good). Do not come if you are in a hurry though. It’s meant to enjoy your dining in here, not a fast food store.

Daniel the waiter is AWESOME!!! Me and my friend came in last nite with 5 kiddos 2eight year olds a 6 yr old and 2 four year olds. Our kiddos can get loud and undeceive which can at time get me and my friends brain all over the place. This guy was very patient with us and the kids got our orders perfect including all the different foods sides and drinks our kids ordered. Offered to bring me both dressings to my salad since I wasn’t sure what I wanted. Reheated my friends food since she like her food super duper hot handled all of us with a smile and without attitude. Yes that’s his job but guess what NEVER do we get that service at Denny’s without a attitude or a sligh ughh or a fuck up on our Oder. Again DANIEL WAS AWESOME and he would def have us coming back.

I’ve been to this location probably 20 times over the last 5 years and the service is pretty crappy about 50% of the time. About 50% of the time either the waiter sucks or the food is cold when you receive it. On the chance the food and the service is good then the food is fine. I like to see what specials they have. This time they had cute Christmas themed items my 3 year old loved.

I this place is your go to spot when you want a diner style breakfast, good coffee great breakfast lunch and dinner and a sweet deserts at a great value great service always

Been here several times. I honestly don’t know why I keep coming but it’s obvious they don’t work on training anybody.
Last month I was in and at check out, me and my friends were wanting to split the tender. T he checkout girl was very friendly but didn’t know how to do it. She reached out to her general manager who was nearby and his reaction was not welcoming. I know it was slightly busy, but he pretty much pushed her out of the way and did the transaction himself in a huff. Wow.
This time, I want to say our waiter was always friendly, however he never brought us napkins until very deep into the meal, never gave us appetizer plates, and took our order wrong in general. We received the wrong food, had to wait, and was given some things we didn’t ask for (like randomly showing up with ranch) It was not busy at all, I don’t know why he was so boggeled. Nobody in our group got their food or finished at the same time. Was there much longer than expected as well. Just not happy with what’s going on here. :(

Came here at 8am on a Saturday for some breakfast after a hike. Super busy! We only waited a couple of minutes for a table though.
Service was average, nothing special. Food was taking a while so the waiter let us know it’ll just be a few more minutes. Nice gesture.
We ordered a fit slam, moons over my hammy, and nachos. First two were a little over $ 8, nachos were like $ 5.50. I had the moons over my hammy, mediocre at best. Could’ve made it at home in less time and much cheaper.
Overall, just your average neighborhood Denny’s.

This is the closest and most convenient dennys near me. I have been here on multiple occasions, dont ask why, and for the most part its a typical dennys. Same standard food, same substandard service. On one occasion i actually saw a roach so i dont know how they got their A but, it should really be revoked. We mentioned it to the waitress and she said *in a low tone voice* i know, we’ve had them and tried to get rid of them but they keep coming back. This is basically all she said, she didn’t even warn the person who was about have a roach crawling on his back in the booth next to us.

This review is to the Denny’s chain in general! Almost anywhere you go in California you can find one and the haven’t disspointed me yet!
This might be one of the best restaurants no matter what time a day it is, breakfast, lunch or dinner here they have everything!
From toasts, sausages, bacon, scrambeled eggs, burgers, omelettes, sandwhichs, soups, fish, steaks, salads, pancakes you name it!
I have tried most of there breakfast meals which a great and great value, their Ceasarsalad is great for those of us how are feeling healthy! The burgers are a secure choice and the taste very good! To drink you can choose coffe, tea, smoothies, juices, lemonadas, sodas, floats etc. and my favourite their milkshakes, they taste brilliant and you usually get one and a half glass!
This is a must when you go on roadtrips or any other time for that matter!
