The lady that showed me to the dressing room was RUDE! She was clearly overwhelmed by having to return items to the sales floor and reminded me multiple times about the clothing limit before I went in the changing room even though I did not have that many items. Even after I went in to change she made sure to remind me again to not exceed the limit. She announced loudly that the crazy Russians were back(extremely unprofessional). This is not the service I expect out of a high end boutique. I would expect this type of service at Walmart :(

Driving on Mira Mesa Blvd, I notice this huge sign that said«75% off Designer Outlet.» So out of curiosity, I decided to see what the fuss was all about. Once I entered the store, I was completely blown away. Based on the outside of the store front, it looked like a mature ladies shop. But once inside, I was really surprised by the contents. The looks-can-be-deceiving-store had all the bells and whistles of boutique in La Jolla, down to the little doggy running around. It carries a wide variety of designer labels that are only carried at the select department stores like Nordstrom’s or Bloomingdale’s. Just like a boutique in La Jolla, this place was rather pricey. But their sales rack helps make up for that. They had multiple bins of clothing that were less then $ 5. In addition to the bins, they had rows and rows of affordable sales racks to browse through. I found a $ 200 designer leather jacket for only $ 40. Attention Ladies!!! If you are ever in the area, you should stop by and see what type of deals you can score.

This is such a hidden gem — you can always find something fabulous and great… a place where you can purchase something that not everyone will wear. I especially like the designers they carry — they have a ton of edgy pieces but also couture items that really stand out. I’ve been going here with some select girlfriends for a couple of years now and I’m never disappointed. If you have a special event, definitely check out this boutique to see if there is something awesome that is in your size.

After driving past the Gracie House of Wear sign in front of an anonymous office park for a year, I finally stopped to see what it was all about. It turns out, Gracie is a designer boutique, and this location is their outlet store. Score! I’m a bit of a cheapskate when it comes to clothing, I’m no labelwhore. But who can pass up a deal? They carry lines like Nicole Miller, Antik jeans and Theory(these were some of the few designer names I recognized), and they are marked 50−60% off. They have shoes and purses, too. The best part, are the plastic bins full of items priced from $ 20 – 40. I will be back to dig through those for sure. And maybe break down and buy a killer suit. Maybe.
