Was craving Chinese food didn’t feel like driving to a real restaurant like Panda Inn at Horton Plaza so I tried this place. It was HORRIBLE don’t think the food is even fresh, got home in 5 minutes and all 3 items were cold. Beef very gritty — wonton soup broth tasted like hot water-now sure why they call it chowmein noodles the co, or and texture was not authentic. It’s like another Panda Express not any better… I don’t go to Panda Ezpress –yuk!

Disgustingly bad. Food is completely tasteless and looks like its been sitting for a week. Gets one extra star because its cheap and they give you a lot. But that’s it. Food has rubbery texture and doesn’t even smell good. Won’t ever go back here.

Wow, they really need to paint the walls, but the food is plentiful and delicious for takeout. They were friendly, too.

How are you in business? I just stopped by there and what a complete waste of my hard earned money. The city should shut you down.

Four stars because their orange chicken is the best I’ve found so far in sd. Almost as good as ho toi’s in Anaheim. Okay chow mein good flavor a little dry but they were just about to close so that may be why. Gross hot n sour soup it tasted like they put blood in it. Coppery taste. Too bad too because a large to go cup was only $ 2.

This is express take-out food. Prices are reasonable and food was reasonably good as well. They made some fresh sweet and sour chicken for me, which I thought was pretty cool.

I’ve been coming here for quite some time and it’s always come through for me. Now readers, this isn’t a 5 star, elegant fancy pretentious person type of restaurant. What they offer is big portions at a reasonable price. When I say big portions, I mean big portions. So big they can’t close the box. I always get Lo Mein with a combination of either orange chicken, beef and broccoli, or teriyaki chicken. But I’m positive the rest is just as good. Definitely a place to go if you want a good deal on some delicious Chinese food. They have a few locations. All of which offer friendly service and a great smile.

We happened upon this place today, just after we had been lamenting the lack of good, cheap Chinese food near us in San Diego. For this price point, it is very good! Generous portions and pretty yummy food make this a winner! 12 bucks to feed two people, with plenty of leftovers. My husband liked the fried rice, and we both loved the Mushroom Zucchini Chicken. We will definitely be back!

Nasty, flavorless and waste of 5 bucks. I threw it away after 3 bites.

I don’t understand why there isn’t more love for this place. I had the two item combo and fried rice. I doubled down on the orange chickenat and it was pretty yummy. The portions are huge so you should be able to get enough for two people and with the special it includes a drink and its under six bucks Wow! The only reason I take off one star is because their selection isn’t huge, but their fried rice that I had was very fresh and tasty and of course the organge chicken had fresh meat in it, what else could you ask? If your expect fine dining this is not the place, but cheap, fresh food, that really fills you up, then Great Wall Express number three is your place.

My mom and I went here today after a co-worker of hers had reccomended the place. What we ordered: Combo plate w/chow mein, orange chicken, bbq pork and a medium soda(combos come w/med soda your choice of 2 items and either rice or noodle). The chow mein was decent — not the best I’ve had and certainly not the worst. The orange chicken was moist enough(which can sometimes be a problem) and tasted pretty good but it had ALOT of breading and very little chicken. The bbq pork I did not like at all — in my words«it tastes like a bathroom» I would not order it again. The soda(Coke) was fine… it tasted like… Coke. I don’t really think I’d come back to this place again — there are better places to eat in the area and for cheaper.

I really went here for lunch today hoping this was as good as I remember, but it wasn’t. The price was cheap and the food was mostly good just the noodles were kinda dry. It may be because I have been to Hong Kong and experienced real Chinese food instead of these Americanized concoctions. The fried rice was also dry, where as in Hong Kong I could not stop eating it even after I was stuffed, yes it was that good. I don’t think I will come back here again unless I am with a group of people that want to go here. I guess the closest thing to real Chinese food is a place called Golden City on Kearny Villa rd. in San Diego.
