Came here to watch the Broncos beat the Patriots with my brother. Placed was packed with Broncos fans. They had a raffle($ 1 buy in) for a chance to win Bronco swag. My sister won a free«Beaver» drink for us to share(it’s a really big drink with multiple straws). Overall, good crowd, good service, and GIANT nachos.

Great place to eat drink and enjoy the company of nice people. Love this place and it’s my favorite hangout on pacific beach.

It’s great because it’s a Broncos bar. That’s why I give it 3 instead of 2 stars. Otherwise it’s usually dead. The servers are nice but the drinks are overpriced. If you can spend 2 minutes more in the car, drive to PB for more options.

Came here for the Broncos/Chargers game for the first time. The chicken nachos were AWESOME. Service was decent. I’ll definitely check this bar out again. I expected the bar to be a little more rowdy but it was great we got a seat right away. Go Broncos!

We were just wandering around MB on a nice Saturday and decided to stop in for the first time. It was pretty quiet, just what we were looking for, but things were getting busier right before we left. Anyway, nice server who got us our drinks right away. The draft list is limited but had some good selections from Stone and Mother Earth. I wasn’t in the mood for a mule, but they sounded damned tasty from the menu descriptions. The food was pretty slow in arriving. Note for vegetarians: Not exactly a veggie-friendly place unless you want a salad. No veggie burgers listed and everything else is pretty meaty. However, I got the Nachos Grande and they were excellent. A lot of places dump the tortilla chips on the place and just pour the cheese over them. Here, they were carefully stacked(or maybe we just got lucky) so that they didn’t get soggy with cheese and toppings. A nice balance of those toppings, too, with the right amount of jalapeños and beans. Very, very good. Good place to go for a snack and a drink. We’ll be going back, and maybe next time I’ll hop on one of those mules.

Wow! Really fun time for a #vikings game. Happens to also be a #broncos bar so it was packed with purple and orange since they were both playing at the same time. Pretty awesome service considering the crowd. Fun cool friendly people all around. Will be back soon.

Amazing. Ok drunk, but the Makers Mark mule is STRONG. The poppers are SOGOOD and the cucumber ranch dressing BOMB. We loved them, had them as a meal. Server Jennie was great. On a busy crowed football Sunday at 4:00 pm. Denver lost. Yeaaaa 5star

Came here on Taco Tuesday with two other locals, left with almost $ 100 bill. That’s amazing when you can go in to Pacific Beach and get two for one drinks and $ 6 all you can eat tacos on a Tuesday. This place seems like its on its way out, its always dead except for your local neighborhood drunks. They really need to pay more attention to the locals expectations, have more specials in the offseason, and clean and update the décor. So many restaurants in the area are failing because of new places like cannonball and draft in MB that the wave House is offering that are updated and current. It’s the same old story, change with the times or become outdated!

The food here is very over priced. And the customer service wasnt all that great. We had to repeat a few things. That’s one thing I can get over but the thing that bothered me the most was the hair we found in our fries not one but two. When we showed the waitress the first one she tried to play it off as something else. And then after letting her know about the second she decided to drop the f bomb. Comping us for the meal was a great gesture but i dont see us returning here again.

This place is the perfect bar to get away from the crowds in Pacific beach. The drinks are strong and the couches are comfy. Don’t forget to play Jenga while you are here! The food was decent. We people watched the entire time and high 5 ed surfers as they walked by. They have wifi too which was very helpful because we came by to get work done. I’ll be back for breakfast on the weekend.

«Good Food, Slow Service» The food was pretty average for bar food. However, the service was slow. The restaurant should’ve known they would be overly busy for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Also, the tables are very close making it crowded. Pro: many TVs to watch sports, pool tables, clean bathrooms

Was walking down the boardwalk and wanted to get margs. Was told to come here. Ended up getting there just in time for happy hour(4pm) We had 6 people in our group and found a table righy away. Tho the service was a little slow, the server was very nice. Had 2 margs and everyone was pretty drunk. Get the regular and they are huge and only $ 6.50 each! They also have Jenga and other board games to play while you’re there. Highly recommended and lots of fun!

Food and drinks are great! We had Mahi sandwich and the guava margarita. Service was slow because they only one server on at 1pm. I would definitely come back.

Good sports bar for trivia night and for watching games; it’s not the best if you’re in a group and trying to have a conversation. It has a nice neighborhood feel. The guacamole and Moscow Mule were the highlights but were overpriced(not surprising given the location). I would recommend other bars nearby for tastier drinks and food, since this spot wasn’t too special. It’s really close to the Santa Clara lot, which has more parking Mission Boulevard.

Guava is a little Mexican restaraunt/bar with prime location in Northernish Mission Beach. We stopped in on a busy Sunday afternoon and sat down with no wait. The menu is pretty basic, apps, salads, tacos, and burgers. Their drink menu is more impressive — we always go for the margaritas! Have tried the Beaver(the one with all the straws) but I wasn’t that impressed — fun but kinda overpriced and too sweet for me! Our food came out fast. The nachos were a little dry but we kindly asked for some salsa on the side! Brother said the burger was good and the salad was huge! The best part of this place is probably its location in mission beach! An easy lunch stop for a day at the beach. They also have Jenga if you wanna stay and hangout! They also get a plus in my book because they are a Denver Broncos bar! If you’re in the area for football games make sure you come here to rep your Denver pride. Service isn’t anything to rave about though, especially when busy :)

Great atmosphere. Friendly service. Tasty food. Tastier drinks. The coconut shrimp was delish and the guavarita was perfectly refreshing. My one complaint is that some of the portions are a little small for the prices but not enough to knock a star!

Not sure what happened to my first review, so I’ll give this another try. Was here for my birthday(1⁄31) and got a complimentary birthday shot(Casamigos Reposado), and a nice BIG Margarita. The Margarita was nice and spicy(just the way I like it), and the chicken fingers I ordered were on point. The wait staff, bartenders and later the owners of this particular establishment are very nice, and very professional. This place has everything; Dive, Sports, Surfer, Restaurant bar all rolled into one. I can overlook the fact that it’s a Broncos bar(STEELERS, baby!!!), but no bar is perfect. Will definitely be coming here again, and hopefully, they’ll have my size t-shirt there…(XXL, please. HINTHINT).

So after 6 years being a faithful, it’s time for me to put my Unilocal stamp on Guava. Read other reviews… people are giving 4 stars and it’s their favorite place on the strip! I love guava and couldn’t be more excited about the place. It’s a perfect blend of dive, restaurant, and bar. I’m not biased just because I’m a Broncos fan. Even when this place is packed to the brim with Orange and Blue, and even as we’re waiting for the Vikings fans to leave, there’s still amazing service. I don’t know how they do it. I’ve only had the Cali Burger one other place that was better, and it was a specialized Burger place, so I can’t hate there. It was great here as well. Pitcher prices, amazing. TVs, you got it. And to top it all off… kids are allowed at anytime. *Single dad* I love this place and would drag any out of town visitor there for any occasion. I can’t wait to hit their poker tournament!
