There work was incredible! I ride an upright trike(don’t worry, most people haven’t heard of them). Nobody make them in the states, you have to go to England to get one. Anyway, I just got a new time trial bike and I needed to hook up the Trykit(thing that takes it from 2 wheels to 3 wheels) but the Trykit company doesn’t make a piece that fits around the«teardrop» seat post. Here comes Intrepid and Graham to the rescue. He not only made it… it was done in the less than a few days. The piece was precise and weighed almost nothing. Thanks Intrepid!!!

The only other person reviewing this firm references the friendly staff and their knowledge and essentially seems to place them in the category of bike shop. When one visits them on the Internet they give every appearance of being a bike manufacturer, not a bike shop. My bad. I should have Unilocaled before I leaped! As a purchaser of a handcycle purportedly manufactured by them, my experience seems to mirror that of the other reviewer, M.B. …they are a bike shop. I ordered the item on Thursday March 1st, today is the 28th, 4 weeks to the day after I ordered and a full two weeks after I pictured myself happily cranking along the bike path. To date while the bike was to have gone to paint the week of the 5th(no explanation was given for the four plus day lag-time), and then be assembled and shipped, apparently the assembly part takes longer than it takes Detroit to manufacture and deliver a special order automobile. Heck for that matter, a special order Audi,(built in Ingolstadt Germany), which got across an ocean and past customs inspectors, took fewer weeks to arrive than this bike has taken to date without having arrived! I’ve made several inquiries as to the status, the emails go totally unanswered, and the phone calls are returned like slot machines pay out in Vegas; you can try over and over and not get a payout,(return cal), and if you do it’s a half-dozen or more hours after the fact,(after you’ve walked away from the machine). When one calls one gets, unilaterally, a recording stating that they«Can’t come to the phone because they’re busy building bikes» If that is true the one thing of which you can be CERTAIN is that ITISN’T YOURBIKETHEY’REBUILDING!!! I’m thinking that the truth is they stopped on their way into work to get some bangers and mash,(the owner is from the U.K.), and several black-and-tans later, your bike’s importance has diminished appreciably in prioirity, and the call of that great San Diego weather has increased appreciably; but YOUR money still pays the bar tab! If the idea here is to use a bike shop as a springboard to becoming a bike manufacturer, they might want to buy a copy of «Customer Service for Dummies» at the local Barnes and Noble, before it folds, and expend proportionately more effort on a five figure bike sale than on a 5 dollar bike repair!

Probably the only shop that carries handcycles in San Diego. Also carries recumbent tricycles. Staff is friendly and welcoming, very knowledgeable, and will let you take a turn on any bike in the shop. Added bonus — the shop is right on the Rose Creek bike path, so you can literally«ride» in.
