Michael was very good on customer service my family was happy and made my breakfast experience pleasant

This review is long overdue because this location has been doing great things for months now since I have been getting drive-​thru breakfast here during the week most week days.
I usually order the same thing for my breakfast order but what is amazing to me about the customer service at this location is that if they think you have been waiting too long in line or if they find out that they even made one small mistake on your order here come the complementary items free coffee etc without even asking for it. They give the comp items because they’re upset that they didn’t give you «full excellence» according to their level of service.
I don’t know if this is a training facility for Jack in the Box but if it isn’t, it sure should be because these guys are top notch guys and girls –everybody …every employee that I’ve dealt with has given me exceptional service and they will have me coming back for a long time because of the extra steps they do to make me feel so special.

Recently wanted something to eat at an ungodly hour and this place happened to be open. The fries were limp, tasteless and possibly green. The burger was equally bad.
I really need to stop doing this to myself.

So okay the service was fast and great… Too bad I can’t say the food was great. I order the chicken strip meal only to be given old dried out chicken. I was on my lunch break so taking it back was not an option and of course they did not answer the phone when I called. And well there was no receipt in or on my bag so there goes that. I will not be going back here. Well at least the fries were fresh. Damn Shame!

I used to eat at this restaurant all the time but when I just want water they deny giving me water cause I don’t want to buy anything! Why do I have to buy something if I don’t want to eat … Stop being freakin cheap… Acting like they don’t make money.

Jack In The Box. Seriously. Your customer service was fast and friendly, but your food was oh hum. Long past the days, where I used to stop in at 2AM for a few Jumbo Jacks and some bacon and cheddar potato wedges. I’m sad that I expected a bit more from your Sourdough Jack! It was definitely not as great as I remembered it.
The biggest issue is that I ordered a Sourdough Jack combo, with small fries and small Coke and then I ordered a separate Sourdough Jack with no mayo. I came home and the bag with the fries had the Sourdough Jack without mayo and the second bag had the regular Sourdough Jack. This !@#$ is easy! I don’t understand how you order the combo and have the side order in the bag with the fries. The burger that I wanted did have a sticker on it, but not until I took a bite out of the other one is that I realized that this was not mine! Not only that, but the burger lacked size in the beef. The tomatoes were pretty good though. Very juicy.
I know, I’m flame spraying J In the B. I’m sorry. For what it’s worth, my mom absolutely loved her food. Thanks for the smiles at the window and thanks for getting my food quick. I just hope next time you guys knock out the easy stuff.

Wasn’t really satisfied with this location… Upon entering everything is dirty, I thought maybe they were busy but they really weren’t, and they actually has an employee that was walking around arbitrarily wiping down the same table to appear busy. (I didn’t notice this till after I sat down and started to eat). While I waited to order, the cashier was waiting on the customer in front of me, and they were both speaking Spanish (no problems there, most feel comfortable in a language they speak more fluently)… The part that bothered me was how other guests began getting in front of me, I assumed everyone was all in one party and just reciting their order. That wasn’t the case just other people wanting to order and the cashier did nothing but take their order, ignoring the fact that I was still there… Finally when I got to the register the cashier actually just walked off, she never came back but after a few minutes of waiting another employee had finally asked if I had been waited on. But hey at least my food was OK…

Place is very clean. Staff is friendly as well and they didnt skimp out on the lettuce for the tacos. I would recommend this place. There has been bad reviews but from my experience, it seems like this place went under new management or something. Overall good experience.

I found hair in my food here. So disgusting, don’t come here unless you like hair in your food !!!

Just got a coffee, had a separate cup for ice. The ice had a helping of ant carcasses for free. I counted 5 dead ants in a small cup of ice. Never coming here again.

Not a fan!!! I went to the one in El Monte, CA and it was disgusting and food sucked!!!

Fast and friendly service, both inside the lobby and in the drive thru. They haven’t messed up on any of my orders which is a great sign for fast food.
I would recommend this jack in the box to anyone in the mission valley area. I only come here in the morning for breakfast time or around 5pm and each time there was not a long line.

Went to the drive thru to get a strawberry smoothie. When I got there, I kind of changed my mind and asked if they had frappé coffee. I mean if they have iced coffee, figured I’d ask. The guy said ‘do you want me to mix the hot coffee with the smoothie?’ I was like ‘um I think that would not taste good at all. Just give me the strawberry smoothie’ seeing he did not have a clue… Well I ordered the large since it was so hot out. Worse smoothie I ever had. Tasted like Quick strawberry powder eeewww. Totally regretted it…

Only thing I can say son did survey for Jack in the Box. He took them pictures of their Manager behind counter picking his nose while taking money and serving food– without washing his hands!
He ordered as required for survey and threw it out.

Enjoyed the food, service was friendly, interior was modern, but I do agree with other reviews that this particular location does seem to attract a homeless population from nearby. Presumably because of this there are signs outside and inside the store that declare that all customers have only 30 minutes to eat, which is obviously more than enough time at a fast food place, but it just makes you feel unwelcome.

I like Jack In The Box in general. However, this location is disgusting!!! Food is nice, staff is nice, but for some reason this place is a home for the bums of all San Diego!!! As soon as you approach the entrance you can smell urine and bums immediately jump on you begging for money! It is ridiculous! Ew! and they are inside also, sitting at the same tables where you sit! I cant even imagine how much bacteria are on everything they touch! Horrible place…

They didn’t post their health rating and when I asked what it was, they said it wasn’t an A. Nice.

Okay, Jack in the Box in general isn’t «as good as it gets». It’s fast food. It’s not high quality or anything. but after coming home from the bar or waking up too late for breakfast, this is the way to go! They serve breakfast all day.
You can’t compare Jack in the Box to a nice restaurant, but in comparison to the rest of the fast food in Mission Valley, this place needs to get 5-​stars. My order has NEVER been wrong, the employees who work the drive-​thru are very friendly and articulate, and they don’t charge you for extra condiments like McDonald’s tries to do.
Plus, it’s consistent. The food is always the same. And, they have $ 1 large soft drinks. I like that.
If you look at the rest of my reviews, I don’t give out 5-​stars that often. especially for fast food. But I needed to rate this location fairly. and especially compared to all of the other fast food in the area, this is the best option.

Stopped by here for lunch with a coupon — why don’t non-​coupon ordering patrons use the kiosk? it’s so easy!
anyway, the interior and exterior were probably renovated in the past few years with the new Jack look, but no flat screen tvs. plenty of tables for 4, and counter space for solo patrons. not a lot of tables for two. still the same manager working the counter — what a friendly guy!
and the drive through is open 24 hours.
