pizza was nothing special but the service was amazing. The man upgraded our pizza to a large and was very polite, even after we dropped a w slices. I would reccomend if your looking for a basic pizza and very very friendly staff.

I am a fan! Delicious and authentic Italian deli food! Small place but full of great selections. Even their small tossed salad is full of selections and the blue cheese dressing is great! Solo glad I can walk here!

Disappointed… Ordered a mushroom cheese sausage pizza. The crust has zero flavor, possibly the worse in a pizza I’ve ever tasted. Mushrooms taste like they were canned, the sausage are bits of sausage shavings. Thinner than a potato skin if using a vegetable peeler. Tomato sauce again zero flavor… Sorry guys but your pizza sucks.

Disappointed we drove over from El Cajon to get a steak sub. The website and door said they open at noon on Sunday. After calling and waiting outside.. We finally caught the gentleman’s attention.. . He opened the door and said they open at 1:00talk about crushed. The website and door schedule needs to be updated. A message on an answering machine would be helpful too with the times you are open.

This guy is more worried about people parking in his spots than bringing customers in. 6:00 on a Saturday and not a single customer in the place. Colima’s next door has a line out the door because their food is amazing and this place can’t buy a customer. if jersey Joe charged people to park in his lot, he would make some money on a Saturday night

I’ll tell ya… Gotta be the closest thing to straight up East Coast Pizza I have found in San Diego yet… Lived in Philly for 7 years but grew up here and as many know, its a pain the ass to find real pizza and hoagies here in SD. Not anymore, this place has em both. :) Great guy who owns the place, theres no bs and he makes some great food! Keep doing it right Jersey Joe’s!

There seems to have been a change in management. The new employees are polite and friendly and the pizza is amazing and always ready on time.

We had the taco and five cheese pizzas and sweet little fried bread knots with powered sugar. I am not a fan of thin crust but theirs is exceptionally yummy. The service was good with the chef coming out to confirm our order. Yes, the taco pizza is so much better than the tacos next door. I’ll be back.

Closest, most comparable(if not completely similar) pizza to the East Coast that goes above and beyond! Traditional pizza oven and friendly staff. Def worth a try for the HUGE individual pizza slice selection and fresh tastes :)

Ling Ling specialty pizza 16in $ 16 with pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. Ordered it there. Waited almost 30min for it, but at least it was fresh. However, it lacked flavor. The sauce wasn’t even good enough for me to want another slice. Which sucks bc I LOVE pizza! The crust was mediocre… Little outside patio for my doggie:) Everyday 4−6pm have $ 5.99 specials. Lunch 11 – 2 two slices and a drink $ 5.99. Many pizzas you can get by the slice, premade, they just reheat it for you. Not sure how long they keep them sitting there for though… The owner and the guy we ordered from were very friendly and nice. Too bad the pizza was a no go for me.

Ordered delivery from here twice. First time, stromboli, veal parm sandwich, and antipasto salad. Second time, on the recommendation of the person answering the phone, we got penne alla vodka. We added sausage and pepperoni garlic knots. First order was really good. Stromboli was tasty, the antipasto was huge and filled with more stuff than lettuce with a great dressing. The veal parm sandwich was okay. Not enough mozz for my liking and the veal wasn’t a whole cutlet, but seemed to be chopped or cut into pieces and placed in the bun. Second order was terrible, except for the antipasto. I will always order antipasto from here! The garlic knots were like dried up, overcooked dough logs with one tiny slice of pepperoni inside. The marinara it came with tasted burnt. The vodka sauce was terribly broken and oily. No flavor, No salt. The sausage looked like a boiled log of beef, No casing. We threw them in a frying pan at home to get some color on them. Then, they tasted like fried logs of beef. Again, No flavor, No salt, No spices, No reminder of sausage. Stick to Stromboli and antipasto. Might try the pizza.

Every time my family and I drive by this place we say we will eat there one day. Finally, we did… And many many times thereafter. Their pizza is absolutely delicious. The crust has a nice homemade flavor and texture. I’m never one to eat all my crust, but I do with their pizza. The cheese is gooey and stretchy the way mozzarella should be… and the sauce is tasty. Also, we had their antipasto salad. Wow! Very generous with the various meats and nice variety of vegies tossed around in their tangy dressing. We eat here a lot. Cannot forget to mention the friendliness of the staff. Thank you Jersey Joes!!!

Really good pie. I’m from the north east and this place really gets it right. Probably the best pizza that I’ve had in San Diego. Really nice staff. The owner is a great guy.

Excellent customer service Clean location Great pizza — I like how they label the names unlike the Bronx Pizza Where you have to figure it out But really, there pizza is the bomb. I highly recommend the Whitestone with spinach but pair it with the sausage and you’ll be happy!

Came in to enjoy their pizza and also to try their steak and cheese sub. The wait was not that long. After ordering Mike walked over to the sink and washed his hands. That was a plus for me! He began to fix our order. There are two employees here today. I think this place might be a diamond in the rough. The steak sandwich was great and the pizza was greasy kinda like it should be. Wished they had put more cheese on both. Otherwise everything was great! My only complaint was how long I waited for him to say hello and address me.

Do yourself a favor and order one of their specialty pizzas instead of just going for something ordinary. The service here is good, my pizza was perfectly cooked and the place is clean. I had to give less stars because my order took so long. The food under the heat lamps is dry and nearly inedible. It all looks amazing but don’t bother trying it. Any food with a crust will be as hard as concrete. I found that the red tomato sauce that they use in most of their dishes is very dull, watery and flavourless. I feel like the red tomato sauce should be the crown jewel of the restaurant but in this case it is pitiful.

Sunday night… I don’t want to cook. Pizza is on my mind… I have walked and driven by many times, wondering if their pizza is good. Wonder no more! I will admit that I read David G.‘s review before I ordered. But, that only enhanced my curiosity to try the pizza. So, thanks David G. I check out the menu online. Immediately, I focus on a Margarita or White pizza. They’re my favorite! Margarita large is $ 17.25 and the White is $ 16.25. I think that’s a high price for veggies. But, I still want to try it. So, I call it in. The woman on the other end of the phone was super friendly, and helpful. I was having a difficult time deciding on which one to order. I chose the Margarita, but medium. She said the price would be less…45 minute for delivery. Wow! Okay. It was almost an hour before the driver found me. He called me, asking if I speak Spanish. No hablo espanol! At this point, I’m irritated with the delay, and language barrier. I myself speak two languages. However, I live in the good olé U.S.A. My first language is English. As long as you reside here, make it yours as well. Do not ask me if I speak Spanish! Unless I am ordering pizza in Tijuana. Now that I’ve said that, back to the pizza… The bill was still the same price as the large. Not happy with that. The pizza was a good medium. Great aroma! I like the fresh garlic, sliced tomatoes, and basil. The crust was thicker than I like, and the pizza was greasier that I prefer. But, the flavor was robust and fresh. I like the fact that you used sliced tomatoes versus crushed. However, the basil needs to be placed underneath the cheese because it’s being baked to death. The following day, I had leftovers. I wrapped the pizza in foil, baked at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Delicious! I give Jersey Joe’s Pizzeria 3 stars for good customer service, and a flavorful pizza. I was not inside the establishment, therefore, I cannot comment on the cleanliness. Should I have pizza here again. I would recommend making the crust thinner, and placing the basil underneath the cheese. And, hire drivers that speak English in addition to any other languages. I might be back.
