I go to Luigi’s on a weekly basis with a group of friends, the pizza is consistently excellent with the best crust in town. I’ve tried pizza in the trendy spots around town and many other places but nothing beats Luigi’s. They make the same high-quality pies no matter when I’ve visited. Fresh ingredients and again, the most crispy and tasty crust around. A nice selection of beers by the glass and pitcher are also available. It’s a neighborhood spot, not fancy, but the food makes it memorable. Can’t wait for next week!

My first time trying this pizza. I ordered simple pepperoni and it was delicious to say the least. I will be ordering from here again. I have no complaints at all. Even if you eat it cold it’s good. Simple, good service and close to home. A happy customer.

Came here for lunch with my buddy and we were thoroughly impressed. I heard a lot of hype and saw this place on the food Chanel so I’m glad I finally got to try. Great ingredients and great service. The man behind the counter is a character to say the least. We just did Individual slices and got a total of 4 slices for the both of us. We each wanted to try a variety so we asked for all of our slices to be cut in half. The BBQ chicken was one of my favorites but the buffalo chicken was very good as well. I can’t wait to be back here and there are some great lunch specials with 2 slices and a drink. Plenty of beers on tap too.

Finally tired this place out last night and wasn’t disappointed! They sell both whole pizzas and by the slice. We got an assortment of 6 slices and loved them all. The crime scene and white girl were def my favs. The total for 6 slices was $ 16.50. They are good sized and are not skimpy with toppings. They also sell other Italian dishes. The line can get pretty long but it’s worth it. They only accept cash but there is a liquor store next door with a atm.

Great example of what a restauranteur can do when they set out to do something well. Simple ingredients, nothing over the top, but clearly someone set out to do something the best they could… And they’ve succeeded. Bring cash though, they don’t like the plastic v

Had take out here on Sunday. Excellent pizza! Tried the Mona Lisa because of Diners, Drive-it’s and Dives and the Bbq chicken pizza because the man on the phone said that was another«favorite». Even though the man on the phone sounded like he didn’t want to take my order, I still gave this place 5 stars because my husband and I loved the pizza so much. We liked how thin the pizza was and the flavor definitely stood out.

This is my local pizza joint which I frequent at least once a month. I forget the names of their pizzas, but my go to slice is the meatball with globs of marinera sauce and cheese(I forget the name of the cheese they use). The beauty of this place is that their pizza is consistently good. I’ve yet to have a bad slice of my meatball pizza I always order. One slice that I tried and didn’t like was the green olive/sausage pizza. There wasn’t any sauce on this pizza and it was too salty for my taste. Aside from that pozza, I think the rest of their pizzas are delicious !

Friday night we ordered a pizza from this place for pick up. My friends really didn’t want to order from here because they’ve lost/messed their order up 3 times before. I’ve been here once before and it was great! So I convinced them to try it again. We show up 30 mins later and my boyfriend goes in to get it. He’s told they don’t have it and asked if maybe we called the other store. I was in the car and re-dialed to see which place I called. The woman on the phone said the same thing“we don’t have it” but then adds«soo. If he was already told we don’t have it, why are you calling? I just don’t understand what the point of you calling was?» Well lady — I wanted to make sure I ordered from the right location! Frustrated, I say«I just wanted to make sure this didn’t get screwed up again!» And I hung up. About 10 mins later she calls back! She says«hey! This is the girl you hung up on! Remember?! We found your order, you got the fresh prince right? But we put the sauce on top.» I said«well crap, sorry, we already ordered somewhere else.» Her response? «GOOD.» And hung up. Jeeze! I understand that it was a Friday night and busy, orders get lost. It happens. But the response from this lady was completely rude and she actually went out of her way to be a brat. YOU lost the order. There are a lot of other ways she could have handled this but that was over the top. Guess my friends were right, i won’t be coming back because of this.

Awesome pie! Came by the other night after ceramics class, covered in clay bits and wearing my old raggedly flannel and I fit right in. Hipster or no, they’ve got good pizza down pat. Sure I could have got a slice or two and a ice cold PBR for $ 8, but why do that when a whole pie is only $ 20? So good. Don’t pass up the eggplant ricotta, it’s awesome. And bring cash, or the only pizza you’ll be seeing is the one behind the glass. Your card ain’t no good here.

I love this place! Two of my favorite things: Delicious, creative pizzas and good beer! On my most recent trip, I had a slice of the Margarita and the white fuel, accompanied by a Latitude 33 beer. As always, I was not disappointed. Note: they’re cash only, but if you forget, there’s an ATM next door.

Great pizza and service. Jeff was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. He recommended some great beers as well. I liked their beer selection. I recommend the meatballs, pepperoni pie. We also got a french pie with ham and bleu cheese which was awesome. Enjoy!

My whole life has been a lie. This whole time I thought dominos was the best pizza ever and then came Luigi. Shame on me! Seriously though, first bite of the crime scene pizza and it was like cherubs came down from the heavens above and blessed my pizza slice. I could hear harps playing. It was that good. I’m definitely coming back and back and back for more. Tip: cash only!

Heard about Pizzeria Luigis on food network and immediately wanted to try it when we moved to San Diego. Since I saw on Unilocal that it was a cash only establishment, I went on a goose chase to find an ATM and finally found one after the first two being out of order. Of course this has nothing to do with my rating, but I rarely carry cash and in this day and age, would prefer if they took credit cards. They don’t have a parking lot and I was lucky enough to find parking right outside the entrance, but I can imagine that it may be hard to find convenient parking on busier nights. The amazing pizza smell took over the second I stepped out of the car and walking in, the slice case was even more extravagant. At least 20 topping combos and get this; you can create your own pizza by the slice and try 8 different kinds at a time. We loved this about pizzeria luigi! Another plus was that their pizza was low carb… aka thin crust. We tried many of their unique combos including; Crime scene The white girl El Diablo The margherita and a few others. The crime scene was our favorite! The crust on all were pretty burnt but overall great pizza and we’ll be back!

2 slices of pizza + a draft beer = $ 9 That’s practically free. On top of that, Luigi churns out some good ass pizza. I had a slice of the Capone(pepperoni, sausage + meatball) and a slice of Margharita(tomato, basil + garlic) and a beer. The Capone was what you would expect it to be– protein heavy and salty. This is exactly what I was expecting and this is exactly what I got. I washed it down with beer and it was great. I also really enjoyed my slice of Margharita which flew on the opposite end of the flavor spectrum. The slice had no protein and just relied on the medley of flavors to create a good pizza slice. They make a mean Margharita pizza which is a pretty good baseline for any pizza joint. It’s flavorful and doughy. Cash only. Street parking. I would definitely come back if I was in the neighborhood.

Can’t believe I haven’t given 5 stars to Luigi’s yet. Luigi’s is always great. I recommend the ricotta and mushroom. Call ahead so your pie is ready when you get there. It can get a little busy at times but things move fast there. They also have a good selection of very reasonably priced craft beers. Pretty sure they do $ 15 pitchers on everything.

Delicious New York style thin crust pizza, yum! It’s hard for me to pick a place that offers the best because they all taste delicious, although I am a fan of the DIY pizzas as of late. We ordered a whole pie, half Mona Lisa and half Leonardo. The Mona Lisa had pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, red onion, and olives with red sauce. We both preferred the Leonardo half, which had mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, pesto, and chicken(added). Both were pretty tasty and the crust is very thin, yet crispy. Need more chicken on these for the price($ 20). The staff are friendly and the interior is a bit hipster and eclectic, but that comes with the territory. The location is cash only, which i hope they’ll some day take card.

Oh wow, this pizza is so delicious. I had no idea that it was a sit down place with a cool vibe. For some reason from the outside I thought it was just a pick up and go kind of place. We sat at the bar and were able to chat with the staff even though it was a busy day. $ 15 pitchers of craft beer, lots of specials, ricotta on the pizza… Need I say more. We went with a variety of slices and a pitcher of Harlot from Society. Super yummy. The pizza was devoured within minutes but it took us a little bit to finish the beer. I loved the crowd, though I did notice there were a lot of children in the restaurant on this particular Sunday night. Not that I don’t like kids, I’m just not used to seeing so many. But I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, kids love pizza. Tonight, I’m getting the crimescene as a carry out and having friends over. What?! 2 nights in one week… And I’m supposed to be on a diet. :-/

2 pizza slices with a drink for $ 6! What an amazing deal. I usually go to costco for cheap pizza by the slice but that won’t be the case anymore with pizzeria Luigi. The ricotta on the sausage pizza was sooo divine. Loved every bite! I really liked how the dough was on the sweeter and crispy side too. The sausage bits could be bigger but I can’t complain for the price that I’m paying. I will defiantly be returning. Great pizza parlor in a hipster neighborhood with affordable prices. ***CASHONLY*** is the only downside.

Can I say that this is the best New York style pizza in town? Can I say that Luigis beats out Bronx pizza? Hell yes I can! Luigis seriously makes some good pizza. The crust is a perfect combination of light crunch and chewiness. Sauce is so good. Great selection of different pizzas. My two personal favorites are the Meatball, ricotta and the eggplant pizzas. The meatball is seasoned perfectly and the ricotta is melt in your mouth goodness. The eggplant pizza just fresh and a good option for those not wanting meat. I’m a meat loving fool and I still like the eggplant pizza. They serve beer here. That is a huge plus :) 2 slices and a pint of beer for $ 9.50. Sounds like a great deal to me!
