Coffee tasted super amazing and the girl who helped me was really sweet and friendly. I recommend this place highly. I don’t remember your name but girl who wants to go to Prague, I hope you make it!

Jiffy Joe’s is great for the convenience of a drive-thru. I mean, there are days when you just don’t want to deal with getting out of your car until AFTER you’ve had your coffee, right? That being said, you’re paying for convenience and semi-decent coffee. I’m typically a straight up coffee with some cream girl, but on this particular morning, I wasn’t in the mood so I ordered a vanilla latte. It was okay, just alright, but nothing to write home about either. I’m interested to come back and try a more regular brew since that’s more my style anyway. They’re definitely worth driving thru if you’re in the area and feeling like some jiffy joe.

Love having a local spot serving up Bird Rock, Swell, or the like — nothing like that in Poway/RB. Prices are good and customer service is very welcoming. I dropped the review from 5 to 4 stars because of inconsistency. I’ve been three times and the Swell brew was perfect the first two times, but today it was distinctly more watery, to the point of mediocre home brew. That said, despite today’s cup, I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and give them a solid recommendation!

I’m more of a fancy single-origin coffee guy which generally results in my preference for buying my daily cup of coffee(black, please!) from one of the many high-end roasters here in San Diego. You won’t catch me in any of the big chain coffee places that sell over roasted mediocre quality beans. As it turns out, I discovered that this kiosk actually serves good coffee. I didn’t try their regular organic house roast(which I think is from Caffe Calabria, but don’t quote me on that), but they had a really reasonably priced single origin coffee from Bird Rock available that was everything I would have expected a Bird Rock roast to be — amazing. Now that I’ve discovered a place that serves legitimately good coffee where I don’t even have to get out of my car and deal with waiting in line, I’m a happy camper.

My fav coffee spot in rancho bernardo. Always good coffee, the people are always nice and friendly, and the drive thru saves me so much time. Definitely a great spot to get coffee before work.

Despite the great customer service, and the very kind barista who is pleasant to deal with, the coffee here is flat out… not that great. I’ve been to this place countless times because it is near my house, and the fast drive-thru aspect. But the coffee is incredibly inconsistent in recent months, and is SOUR tasting the majority of the time. In Rancho Bernardo, I have gotten coffee from Starbucks, Peet’s, Denny’s, MacDonalds, RB Donuts, and 7 – 11. All of their coffee is better than the coffee at Jiffy Joe, because it is not sour tasting. I don’t know how they’re preparing their coffee, if they are not cleaning their equipment, using hard water to brew with, but the coffee tastes sour and very unsavory. I love the convenience so I have given it so many chances, but I’m done.

Returning to our fav coffee drive through after a hiatus we were surprised to see a name change but our highly regarded barista smiling & asking us if we wanted our regulars — yup 2 ice blended vanilla coffee drinks with extra shots — 1 w/whip cream, 1 regular for the skinny one. Checked out new menu — all looks good, will try hot drinks when winter comes. OBTW our drinks were as always The Best. Props to smooth transition & happy to see a local roaster(Birdrock) has set up shop.

So, it was my first time checking out this coffee stand and I ordered a large coffee. When I went to get my debit card out of my wallet I realized that I left it at home. I told the nice lady that I didn’t have a way to pay and apologized. She in turn told me not to worry and to pay her back next time. What amazing customer service. I can’t think of the last time I experienced this type of customer service. I went back the next day and paid for my coffee and bought another cup. I absolutely recommend this drive-thru coffee stand to anyone in the RB area. I work close by and I would rather give my money to a local business vs. a Starbucks any day. The coffee is really tasty; smooth yet strong and I saw a sign that said they use organic coffee. They also have a wide variety of other caffeinated drinks on their menu as well as smoothies and some pastries; which I haven’t tried. Enjoy!
