At first, we were thinking of not having a coordinator for my sister’s wedding because we thought we could handle it all. I’m so glad we changed our mind and had Katherine coordinate the wedding. Here’s what I loved about Katherine & why you should consider getting Kat as your wedding coordinator:
1) During the entire event Kat and her partner, Irfan will be dedicated to making the event the best that it can be. They are always working on what’s next and ensure that everything goes as planned.
2) Kat keeps her cool — Not once did she give me the impression that she was lost, couldn’t handle it, or that she was stressed out of her mind. I’m sure it was stressful, but her main focus was on keeping the wedding party and our parents stress free and calming us down when we began freaking out.
3) Kat has good ideas that work around what you want. If you forget about something, she’ll bring it up, make suggestions, and help you finalize any decisions.
4) If you are on a budget, Kat will help you find affordable yet great options for your wedding. Her assertiveness and professional negotiation skills really help when making deals with vendors.
Kat helped us with a million things. The wedding was fantastic, I really enjoyed my time there as the maid of honor. I felt like I could put all of my focus on my sister and supporting her. I don’t think that would have been possible without Joyous Weddings & Events. Thanks Kat and Irfan!

I heard great things about Katherine through several of my coworkers. So I ended up recommending her to my sister (who just married last fall). I was actually pretty hesitant in recommending her, because my sister is SO hard to please and this being such an important event, I knew I’d feel pretty guilty if Katherine was just overhyped.

I had the pleasure of meeting Katherine this year. We met up to talk about her plans to coordinate events her in San Diego, weddings in particular. After a couple of hours I found her to be very personable and someone who I definitely would want to work with. We finally had that chance and have to say she did an awesome job! Her attention to detail is second to none. I was impressed with how smooth the wedding went. I love a coordinator who can work well under pressure and maintain their professionalism. I had the pleasure to work the Katherine and her team for my wedding on August 31^st, 2014. She was amazing and very organized. She went above and beyond her call of duty to make sure that my wedding ran smoothly. She found the best florist to help me with my last minute change in my bouquets for myself and 6 bridesmaids. I wouldn’t know what I would have done if I didn’t hire Katherine as my planner and coordinator. She is so friendly and professional.
