NOTE: This location is NOTCLOSED(though it might’ve been renamed and taken over by new management) It’s called the LunchStop or the SnackShop Café, or some such silly name. When you’re stuck in the Edward J. Schwartz federal; building and gotta eat, this is your only option. The prices are too high for what’s offered. They know it, but what are you gonna do? You’re pretty much trapped. I’m also not crazy about the surly woman who works there(not the nice gal who runs the place). The cook who makes the breakfast stuff — is cool, though. He can handle orders from 15 disgruntled federal employees better than anyone I’ve ever seen. The feds should hire him. Once you get your food and have to go deal with the lady… whew, look out! She’s got ‘tude like, «I know I’m operating a sucky cafeteria. My life is hell, so I’m gonna pass the misery on to you.» She stands over by the coffee machines while 4 customers wait in line to pay, their food getting cold as she punishes us for being forced to eat the lackluster federal café«cuisine» she offers. We all look at her, hoping she’ll get a hint that we’re, uh, you know, standing in line to pay. She then saunters over to the cash register and without a word, rings up your order. I think to myself that maybe the convenience store — or even the snack machines in the hallway — would have been a better deal today. I understand I’ve been banned for leaving this review, so maybe that’s a good thing. Look, it’s clear that she doesn’t want to be there. She’s not customer-oriented or people-friendly. We gotta get along and eat, like a hungry Rodney King would have said. So cut the pissy act, lose the attitude and just do your job, OK? I’ll do my part by running across the street to the«Specialty’s» on the corner for equally-priced but much better fare. Sheesh. It’s bad enough to have to be in that building… don’t give me a side order of drama for lunch, too.

The food is good and the selection is better. For breakfast the popular item is the breakfast burrito. For lunch the options are endless from a well-stocked salad bar, tasty grill options, and even a sandwich bar and daily entrees.
