The ladies were amazing– so friendly. They speak to you… and that’s important to me. So many nail salons where I live make you feel as if you are being talked about, even if you aren’t. I am so pleased with my pedicure. Will definitely return!

Ann did my pink and white acrylics. She did an amazing job. She did my nails nice and thin. I asked for square nails with rounded tips and she did an incredible job. I need them short for work and she listened to exactly what I wanted.

Today I needed to fix two broken nails, so I’ve never been to Mai’s Nails but I figured it couldn’t take too long to fix. Upon arriving, I read the sign«Cash Only»(simplified). I looked and the place was completely empty. This was rather strange when it seems like every nail shop is busy the day before Halloween, but not this one. No one spoke or even turned around as the 3 of them were huddled in the back eating lunch. So, I said, «Hi. I’m the one who called about my 2 broken acrylic nails.» Their response was, «Just one min and we’ll get to you.» I usually get this response if they’re with customers, so I left. ***What ever happened to putting the customer first? Maybe if it was a full-set that I needed then maybe one of them would’ve stopped eating to take care of me. Oh well, I’m glad I didn’t let them do my nails after reading these reviews… Whooo !!!

This place is really close to my house so I decided to go get a pedicure and eyebrow wax. The ladies are really nice and welcoming. They had matching blouses and made funny jokes throughout. I wasn’t 100% satisfied with my eyebrow wax. I still a few hairs left and I hate having to come home and tweeze after having my eyebrows waxed(what’s the point). Their nail polishes are kinda old and dry, not a lot of variety. She left nail polish on my skin/cuticles. Did not look clean. I paid a total of $ 32 and they only accept cash. All in all they have good customer service but their work is not great. I won’t go back. For that price I can get a better pedicure and better massage.

This is a great little nail salon in the Serra Mesa area. Every once in a while I stop by the Walmart off Aero so I try to schedule my nail appointment the same day since this place is up the street from there. The ladies there are sisters who always try to match their shirts and who always try to make you feel welcome. If you feel like talking they can keep the convo going and if you just want to relax, they also respect that too. Their spa pedicures are the best because they scrape dead skin off your heels, do a scrub on your legs, and just pay some much needed attention to your feet! Overall, great attention and care put into your nails, all for a great price!

I’ve been here one too many times to get acrylics, as it is close to home and inexpensive, but I don’t plan on coming back anymore. Service is courteous and they always remember me, but I am usually disappointed with the job they do. As I said, it’s cheap as far as acrylic nails(and other services) go, but I don’t think it’s even worth that price. There’s always some small, but irksome mistake made, whether it’s a hair stuck in a nail that they refuse to acknowledge, or an old polish that refuses to dry. If you choose Mai’s Nails, don’t expect perfection, and choose your polish carefully as much of theirs is old, or just bring your own.

Consistent service by all the sisters! They are friendly, accommodating and do an excellent job. I’ve been going to them for 16 years and love it. Plus, you can’t beat the price!

Mai’s nails is a great neighborhood place to get your mani and pedi and for a good price. I have tried a few other places in town but always end up back with my girls at Mai’s. The facility is not fancy at all but the sisters do great work and always make me laugh.

Ok, this place is no ritzy salon and is extremely sketchy but I was in a bind and needed a quick pedi. Read the one review and almost put my car in reverse to look for another place, but I decided to give it a try anyway. There wasn’t a wait, which is good, but there was also only one customer… not a good sign. Sat for my pedicure expecting for the staff to start up with their Vietnamese, but I was pliantly surprised that they didn’t. Instead, I sat in quiet enjoying my pedi and chair massage and laughing quit frequently at the jokes the staff were making. All in all, I’ve definitely had better pedicures but you get what you pay for and the pedi was cheap. At least they didn’t f up my nails or make me bleed.
