Would have given zero stars, but not possible. Guy behind the register chitt chatting with someone for a few minutes before he acknowledges my presence, even though I am standing right in front of him. Ordered your basic Gyros sandwich for $ 8.95, which I think is kinda pricey, but must be a heck of a sandwich. After taking my order, he immediately goes back to talking to the dude. Finally he starts to make my food, but doesn’t wash his hands after handling my money. wipes his hand under his nose, and then answers the phone. Finally I just walk. No food, no refund. Poor service, and hygiene.

Tried the Lasagna once after moving to this area. It was very disappointing. I ate a little bit and threw the rest away. Thought I would try a pizza, but found out they charge $ 6 bucks for extra cheese. Lost my appetite for pizza. There are plenty of great pizza places around that charge much less for extras. I’ll go elsewhere.

This is a fast inexpensive place for pizza. We prefer carryout, but there is indoor dining. They do have much more then just pizza. I have gotten several of these giant pizzas for a work party and everyone enjoyed them.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza and mozzerella sticks. Very good food at a cheap price!

I don’t care what anyone says, I love this place. The food is really good for the price you pay, and there’s a lot for one portion in my opinion. The pizza is also the best I’ve had in a long long time. The interior reminds me of an old place I used to go to when I was a kid, and they recently upgraded to monitor screens to display their menu. Looks much better! I recommend this place to my friends and they all love it. Don’t knock it till you try it!

Got pizza and wings to start the football season off right. Should’ve got dominos delivery, and I hate the big pizza chain deliveries. Terrible quality all around. So disappointing.

I absolutely love this place! No other place seems to compare to little sans. I am not a big fan of pizza, but the only pizza I will eat is from here. I have been coming to little sams religiously for the past 8 years. One moved three different times and I’ve always seemed to find my way back no matter how far. They have many delicious alternatives to pizza. They also serve buffalo fries, gyros, pastas, and more. Sam and his family are some of the nicest, hardworking people you will ever meet, and they make sure to make it feel like you’re coming home every time you come in.

We ordered this as a pick up, and I did get down and get it myself, so I cannot state on how the interior or how the workers handle themselves. The pizza: first impression is that there was so much toppings. I had to question if there was even any cheese under all that topping because it was literally covered in so much of it. Upon eating my first slice I realized that there was something off about. It tasted like pizza, felt like pizza, and smelled like pizza, but wasn’t quite right to other pizzas I’ve eaten. Once I started eating the second slice I realized what it was: there was barely any pizza sauce. The pizza itself was dry because there was barely any sauce. It was just bread, cheese, and a bunch load of toppings. I had to douse my pizza in hot sauce just to compensate for the dryness of it. Crust is mediocre, nothing really stands out about it. Overall flavor was decent, not anything that I’d come back to. It could’ve been better, but I do like how their pizza wasn’t oily like majority of other pizza places, which I really like. The good amount of toppings is the only thing that I really liked about it. Other than that, I will take my money somewhere else for better pizza.

Love these guys! Food is always hot and toppings are fresh. We get pizza here a couple times a month and get pretty large orders as well. The order is always correct! Take a second and talk with Sam and hi family… he’s a great guy!

I was searching for a place to eat when I saw a picture of a pizza from Little Sam’s and that’s all it too for me to find this little gem. And when I say«little» it really is a little shop. One of those small places that you might not even notice and later find out is incredible! They are located in a strip mall and you might pass them by if you aren’t looking. I’m really particular about my pizza and for anyone who knows me, I will drive all the way to Long Beach to get my favorite pizza and just haven’t found anything in San Diego that compares with my favorite. I walked in and expected to order a pizza and while clearly this looks like a pizza place, they also serve burgers, buffalo wings and I guess are also known for their Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Honestly after walking in and seeing all the items, I wanted to try it all, but I was here for the pizza. They have several sizes and one super large pizza but I went with the 16″ pizza. I ordered it with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives and jalapenos. I sat in the dining area while the pizza was being prepared. They do have an indoor dining area, but it’s pretty small and seems most food is for take out. It wasn’t long before my pizza was hot and ready for me to take home. It looked as good as the picture I saw that convinced me to try and the taste was as good as it looked. The crust is very fresh and the sauce is good. I will say they don’t use nearly enough cheese. I’m used to pizza that while you pull it apart, the cheese is stretching off the sides as you try and pull them apart but that didn’t happen with this pizza. Overall, good pizza and so much better than 80% of the pizza places in San Diego. I’ve read a lot of the negative comments here and it seems to be based up on their limited pizza delivery area. Hardly seems like a reason to give them a scathing review when you haven’t even tried the food. I understand not being happy about a limited delivery radius, but I hardly think that’s reason enough to bash them. I’m looking forward to going back and trying their burgers and buffalo wings.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I wanted to check out this place cause they sell pizza by the slice and it was convenient. I walk in and two guys are in the kitchen talking and no one steps over to help me until they finish their conversation 4 minutes later. I thought it was rude but it gave me time to look over the menu. I order a slice of peperoni and a pastrami sandwich. This pizza had a weird flavor, but it wasn’t horrible. It definitely has nothing on costco pizza. I order the sandwich and I’m told it comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and what ever else. I like my pastrami sandwiches with meat, cheese and mustard. I grab my order and head back to work. I open the box and to my surprise I see what looks like a few slices of bacon with cheese on a toasted bun with mustard. I was furious and would have taken it back if I wasn’t at work. I’ve added pictures because I know some people embellish their reviews.

Thought we would try this place because we were craving pizza and it was close to our house. We ordered half pepperoni and half Margherita pizza and we were very disappointed in the taste. It tasted like homemade pizza that we could have made in our kitchen and way too overpriced. I have had many Margherita pizzas because it it my favorite but this way by far the worst tasting Margherita pizza I have ever had. Don’t waste your $ ordering pizza from here.

The chicken philly is my favorite in San Diego! I’m not a huge fan of their pizza sauce though. Too much oregano.

I’m only giving 1 star because I’m not allowed to give no stars. We tried this place tonight for the first and last time. First, we ordered a calzone with pepperoni($ 1.75) olives($ 1.75) and meatballs($ 4.75!) so it came to $ 22 for just that. Charging nearly $ 5 for meatballs is just ridiculous to me but ok. Then we order baklava and are told«we don’t serve it» although it’s on both their online menu AND their inside menu. Then we ask for ranch, they want $ 1 for ranch. Really? Bit steep for some ranch so we declined. Get our food home and our«calzone» is basically pizza dough with a soupy mix of ricotta(completely overloaded with ricotta) and whatever else is in their«four cheese» and a couple random pepperonis and meatballs and a bunch of olives. Um, if I’m paying $ 4.75 for meatballs there should be more than 2 cut up meatballs in my «calzone». I keep putting quotes around calzone because this wasn’t a calzone… this was pizza dough with soupy toppings with a chunk if dough on top of it. I wasn’t a pocket with fillings like it should be. Oh, and since I was disgusted by the«calzone» because it was basically full of ricotta soup, I figured the redeeming factor would be the cheesecake we ordered since they«don’t serve» the other desserts on their menu, but sadly it was frozen. It was coming apart in chunks and I could bend my fork in it. I was hoping it would be thawed by the time I finished this but nope, still rock hard. How this place stays in business is beyond me, but we definitely will not return.

I’ve had the pizza, the calzones, and the gyros. All of have been outstanding! I am originally from Chicago and have tried so many pizza joints in san diego and been disappointed time and time again. I think this place is more New York style, but I can’t even be upset about it because it’s such good quality. Looks to be family run, and they make everything when you order it. So it does take a couple minutes, but I don’t think I have ever waited more than 10, maybe 15 minutes. The calzone though deserves a special mention. THISTHINGISRIDICULOUS. ITISSOHUGE. I moved from Brooklyn a few years ago and I’ve been looking for some good pizza that replicates my Brooklyn flavor. I can tell you. Little Sam’s Pizza is the closest and the best thus far. They deliver on time, the food is tasty, and I like the owner’s personality. I would not go anywhere else but Little Sam’s(or back to BK) for pizza.

I don’t know what they put in these pizzas, but damn son!!! Absolutely delicious pizzas. The dough, the sauce, the toppings all A+++ We recently moved to the area and are pizza fans. After going thru the norms, dominoes, papa johns, Pizza Hut, they all left me with HUGE disappointments. The pizzas were just gross or not good. I was sad. So I gave lil SAMs a try. My first order consisted of a Hawaiian and a normal pepperoni pizza. Holy Moses. Didn’t expect the pizza to be that damn good. They wer delicious!!! Even 3 days later and re heated! Even cold! I mean LoRD! I found my inner peace I mean my inner pizza connection. Love it. Since my first experience I have continued to order pizza from this great location. They know what theyr doing and that’s a fact! Get your pizza on. Get it from these guys and get hooked. Good Job little Sam!!!
