Passed by after getting off work. I wanted to give this place a try after meeting a fellow barkeep at my establishment and hearing about the decent prices of drinks as well as customer reviews. We weren’t helped by anyone for a while as all the bartenders/barbacks were chit chatting amongst eachother or simply just pondering around the bar :/My girlfriend and I got 2 moscow mules and the total was $ 37.50!!! WWWHHHHAAATTT. It cost over $ 18 for a basic Vodka, ginger beer and lime drink in a pint glass… Unbelievable… In Vegas in a nightclub, sure maybe for a long island ice tea… but this underground bar WTF. I’m a fellow bartender and we charge $ 9.00 for a proper mule in a copper mug… we chugged our drinks just to get out of there ASAP and we went on to the next bar where there was actual music and much cheaper drinks. I will be sure to never ever recommend this place nor ever come back… Shame.

Stopped by Maloney’s last week when I was in town for no reason other than people know where it is and we’ve had fun there before. We had a great time, even though it was totally dead early on in the night(I’d never realized before that I only went to Maloney’s well after midnight, haha). But they have some kind of crazy happy hour where on Saturdays they have 50 cent beers at 8pm. Then at 9pm they go up to $ 1! Needless to say we took advantage and had a great time. Really nice bartender. Hilarious throwback music, and later on in the night a good dance party.

It was so dead for a Friday night, but then again we went on New Year’s Day… night. Everyone was probably still recovering from New Year’s Eve. However, the music was awesome and it was half-off AMF’s and Long Islands! Perfect. The security guard triple checked my ID, which was fine because it’s a Hawai’i ID and they look very different from many other state ID’s and driver’s licenses. Maloney’s is underground, which I find fun. The décor isn’t a huge deal to me, I’m down for pub style décor. Our bartender was very nice and made sure she took my order quickly. I only wish it was more crowded when we went. I’ll definitely be back though. Good times and good fun!

Wouldn’t let me in tonight because I accidentally tripped on something as I approached the entrance. I had one drink prior to this.

Service was amazing and so was the beer, but the fact that they did not let me use their restroom right before they closed was something that I will not forget nor forgive. I almost begged and they did not seemed to care. I will would probably go back but not until they close because besides the fact that they closed before 2am they refused to let me use their restroom for it was«closed» for the night.

Cheap drinks and it’s spacious. But it’s not«THEBAR» to go to for kicks and giggles. Start your night here for drink deals and then head on to whatever bar/club your heart desires.

Tips: 1. Go there on Thursdays!!! $ 1 drinks/shots/beer all night!!! 2. Bring lots of cash: there is a $ 10ENTRYFEE 3. Don’t wear a hat cuz they won’t let you were it inside 4. Wear comfortable shoes because you will be standing up the whole time since there are no open seats. 5. Be social: Don’t stand in the corner the whole night. I went with one friend and I made 10+ friends by the end of the night. 6. Have a blast and do the syringe shots with your new friends Comments: I actually liked that place. The drink are cheap so you probably need to buy 20+ drinks in order to get drunk. The drinks were alright for their price. It will get so packed after 10:30. The music was like any other music that plays at any other bar/club.

So this was out last stop for the night, and I myself have been here a few times before hand. So if your looking to chill and drink, then I recommend you stay upstairs in the bar area. If your looking to play some pool during the day then this is a good spot downstairs. It’s so packed downstairs at night it’s really hard to enjoy a game when you literally have to keep asking people can you please move? Yeah thank packed. The music was good, but honestly by that time I was a bit tipsy so forgive me if I’m wrong. The prices are pricy of course, and for two big boys(I forget what size again) of Dos XX it was a little over 20 bucks, but boy your feeling good afterwards. It’s a good place to play pool, and have a great time getting crunk in the basement! Word to the wise the bathroom suck, and yeah I wouldn’t recommend dropping a Duce here… you better hold that shit!

Thursday night, Thursday night, Thursday night!!! $ 1.00 Drinks Yup you read right only 100 pennies. It’s the best deal you get… but wait there is a down fall to cheap drinks! The CROWD! You have to plan ahead when your drinking, when you start to feel like using the bathroom. …start to head to the bathroom because it will take you around 6 minutes to get there… not kidding you have to make your way trough 100’s of people. Hope this helps!

Very cool low key bar Was down here for Comic Con. There was a gabillion people here for the convention, every bar that was closer to the event was crowded spilling over with people. Stumbled across this bar. Im glad we did You have to walk downstairs and the place just opens up ! Huge. Dimly lit speakeasy feel. The bartenders were really nice and the food was really good. TWO Pool tables ! Televisions screens and the interior was very beautifully done to bring this bar together. After we did the WD event. We came back and there was a line at Maloney’s We got in and the place was popping off !! People were dancing, music was good and the drink prices were decent. Good times Thanks you guys

I came here mainly to dance, and asked the guy at the door, was there people dancing. He said yes so my partner and I headed down. There was definitely a good crowd, probably because there was no cover, but no one was dancing and the music was super loud. Like the kind of loud where you have to scream at each other. I think this bar is better for the younger crowd, looking for cheap drinks and mind-numbing music levels.

Meant to leave this a couple weeks ago — Terrific bar. Great décor and lots to do. I was also the told to mention«the ugly bartender in the sweatband». Okay, done.

If you’re into Irish dive bars, Maloneys seems like a good spot to be. It’s located downstairs which creates a dungeoness vibe that is typically expected along with a dive bar. It’s got the traditional wood build with that dreary feel, but once again, if you’re into dives, I imagine that’s what you’d like. They have plenty of televisions compared to your average local dive. They also have a couple pool tables for entertainment. The bar seems huge so I have never really had a problem getting a drink, but I never come here during late hours, so I’m sure it’s busier at night. There is a lot of space so I never feel to cramped here if I’m pre-gaming with buddies. The prices weren’t bad. My memory is cloudy but I think 6 rounds of shots and 6 rounds of beers only ran about $ 70. I’d certainly return here again.

I’m not a big downtown bar person but its not a pretty bad place to start off the night… and end the night too if you get enough drinks in your system not to go anywhere else. A group of us went on the Thursday 8pm and after $ 1 you call it drinks… that means mixed, shots, shots in bullets, shots in syringes… endless craziness ensues. The 1st shift bartender was really nice and helpful. I usually go for my mojito however there was no mint but he made me some makeshift kind which was good cause right after one, I was pretty buzzed. Doesn’t help that I have that darn Asian Glow gene. As the night progressed, he was attentive and gave us waters, made sure that our food was served and good and checked on us. We tipped him well before his shift ended. The food I can’t really say cause by that time I was pretty good that everything tasted good. HA! They placed pretty good mix of old school hip hop, dance and fun dancey music stuff. And hooray for pretty lights! I do have say though, I did not like the women’s bathroom situation. two stalls didn’t have a lock, all of them were practically out of toilet paper and one didn’t even have its seat! WTF? so it was squat and yoga classes in the bathroom and praying that my aim was on target.

This bar seems very«St. Patrick’s Day»…but I had the opportunity to come on Valentine’s Day! I met up with some cousins after a dinner date because we had some family visiting from out of town. Things that I do appreciate when it comes to going out in Downtown is free cover and drink specials. They tried to incorporate both — but I wasn’t interested in the drink specials. My cousin owed me a drink and I decided to go with a well drink. When he came back — I asked him how much and he said he spent about $ 15 for a well drink & shock top??? That’s kind of pricey. I guess I’ve been to several bars where that’s not the case. The customer service was really nice though! She came around often, checked up on things we may have needed. There are waitresses coming around with shot specials, if interested. Music was blah– they had about one good song every 7 songs — we never got up to dance. Which brings me to the fact that they have awesome seating areas — plenty of spots.

Their drinks arn’t good! I think their staff has lack experience in bartending. Really water down. Super hot downstairs. I think It’s mostly for people that just turned 21 younger crowd. Went there because my girlfriend invited me but wouldn’t be my go to place. I mean great location but it’s a place I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. .Their upstairs was cool and fresh. Stayed for an hour and left. Didn’t like the music either bummer. For me it’s all about the music and the drinks! They lack both

Somehow, Maloney’s has become the go-to bar for my post-birthday dinner celebration the last couple of years. I remember having a great time last year so I decided to go back again this year. Not sure if it was the lack of alcohol in me or the fact that I turned 30 this year but I couldn’t seem to get in the groove this year and was ready to head home by midnight. However, there are some positives to Maloney’s. I like that it’s not crowded and you can usually find a nice spot for your group to hang out. The music isn’t too loud, most of the time, but it seemed like every once in awhile a song would come on extra loud. The bar wasn’t too busy and getting a drink was relatively quick and painless. I think I may just be growing out of the bar stage but this is a good in-between bar for when you’re done with the crazy club scene and before you just become fed up with the whole downtown schtick.
