Great barber shop, came in her three times now and got a great cut every time. I use to go to great clips or supercuts, but for a better price I get a better haircut. Will definitely continue to keep coming here.

Been here twice so far; first time Dorrian helped me out. The second time Macho helped me out. Both times my hair came out just like I asked for. I was looking for a local barber since my original barbershop was in Serra Mesa and is kind of out of the way ever since moving to the area. They’re very professional and ask you every detail on how you like your hair. The vibe and décor is cool; like a mix between hipster and urban. They play some good music usually too.

Place looks great and has a great vibe.
Came in asked for a shave and a haircut. I sat down with some chick and she didn’t have a clue what she was doing.
Barely cut my hair.
No hot towel which is a must when shaving. Didn’t use a fresh razor or do it properly. Low budget as fuck And then charged me $ 28. I tipped her $ 5 cuz she will need the money when she is looking for a new career.
Hopefully the other guys who work there take more pride in their work.

Got my hair cut by Macho, had a pretty f’ed up hair cut in Kodiak a few weeks ago and he made it right somehow. Very clean and professional, will definitely be coming back for another visit! Thanks guys. (Also 2 bucks off for military discount)

So my regular barber was closed and with thanksgiving right around the corner I needed a cut. So I turned to Unilocal and found a new place. My barber Roberto was great. He took his time and did a great job. I can’t wait to come back for another cut and try the straight razor shave. This place has a great hip vibe and the only reason I took off one star was for the lack of «CLEANLINESS». When I arrived a young lady was finishing up a cut. When she was done she never cleaned her station. There was some mans grey hair all over the floor while she sat in the back room talking with a coworker. Across from me, a young african American man was cutting hair. When he finished he also left his station dirty with a bunch of hair all over the floor while he surfed craigslist looking at cars. As of the time I finished up with my hair cut neither station had been cleaned. This sounds like an easy fix so I look forward to returning and bringing my son.

I took my boys in for a haircut and I was very happy with how patient the barbers were with them. Their haircuts came out great. Seeing how good they did with my boys I decided to try them for myself. I did the shay moose which is the haircut shave and shampoo. I loved it, will definitely be back. Great addition to the college area.

I’ve been here twice so far and really have a hard time remembering if I have ever had as high quality of a cut anywhere else in my life. Macho has an eye for detail and sends you away looking fresh as can be. The shop is clean and classy, TVs up with old school movies showing so you have some entertainment while getting a cut. I could go on about the business itself but the cut is what it’s all about. Check this place out and be sure to ask for Macho!
