CLOSEDPERMANENTLY. Never had any problems with food or service. Always fresh a friendly. The VONS employee I spoke to said they did not renew their lease and that a Panda Express in another local location also CLOSED. Bummer. Did I Mention that they are CLOSED? Because they are.

They are always understaffed, and running out of food, be prepared to stand in line for 15 to 30 mins. Definitely not worth it

If this had a ‘no star’ option i would give no stars. The cheffs are always fighting with the girls in the front! Come on people. Grow up and do your job! Always hurry you up when you are ordering. The girls stare at you funny. And i think shes the manager??? But yet stands by the register all the time! Gee. Youre some help! Poor girls. And last but not least! Always speaking spanish infront of costumers. Hellooooo not everybody knows that language! I like their orange chicken tho. Bad costumer service.

Once in while I get a craving for panda, and this place ALAWAYS lets me down!!! Dry food, they don’t refill their items at night keeping them fresh, and they all have an attitude here! Just the worst!!!

Every time I have ever purchased food from here it is always fresh, hot and super yummy! It’s located inside Vons on the west end of the store. I prefer this Panda Express location to the actual Panda Express restaurant locations because the food from this one is always fresh & they always have everything. I do come at lunch time or mid afternoon… so I don’t know what things are like in the evening. The staff was busy cooking and it took them a minute to notice me, but once they did they were very nice and offered me a sample(that was delicious by the way!)

Garbage, absolute garbage. The food is dry, and it taste terrible. Not to mention it’s expensive.

Be Aware of Gift cards! Tried to use a Christmas Gift Card for Panda Express in Pacific Beach and would not accept gift cards. After telephoning guest relations office at Panda Express we were told it cannot be used at Panda Express in shopping Malls, airports and includes grocery store! We also found that we can’t get a refund with the receipt because it’s a state law!

For some weird reason there are no Chinese food places in PB. When I crave it I have to drag my butt to the Vons, search 10 minutes for a parking spot and wait in a line just to get some orange chicken and noodles that have been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. If someone is reading this who is in the restaurant industry, PLEASEOPEN A CHINESERESTAURANTINPACIFICBEACH!!!

I go to this place after work when I’m really tired to cook dinner. I was just there and ordered a Panda Bowl that consists in one side dish and one entrée. The server gave me only a half of a small piece of chicken. She sliced so small that looks like it was a lot of it. I complaint then she added a ¼ of the other piece of the chicken… the side dish was also small portion(Chow Mein). I have to say that not all of the servers limit the portions, and they shouldn’t as we pay for it. Today, they only deserve two stars…

My office likes to frequent this place for our Wednesday luncheons. It’s alright, being that it is mediocre Chinese food. I appreciate being able to give carry-out orders over the phone. Friendly service.

They are always out of items here. They also started limiting portions so it looks like the plate is barely over the item dividers. Even the small item box is limited. They also charge $ 1.25+ extra for each«special» item.

This is by far the worst Panda Express I have ever been to. I came here the other night around 7pm and there was literally a line out the door, just for Panda Express. I couldn’t believe it. If I hadn’t walked here I would have hopped in my car and drove somewhere else, but I was too lazy to walk back and decided to wait it out. I finally reached the counter after what felt like an eternity(about 10 minutes, not terrible). Instead of taking my order, the woman behind the counter walked back and chatted with her coworker for another minute or two, while the rest of us were waiting. When she finally got done talking she came over and asked«what do you want?». No, sorry for the way, no how are you doing, just what do you want. I got a two entrée combo with low mein, orange chicken, and broccoli and beef. When I got home I bit into a piece of orange chicken and I could barely chew it. It tasted like it had been sitting out all day under a heat lamp. The broccoli and beef was no different. There were only 3 pieces of beef and about 10 pieces of broccoli. The beef had no flavor, the broccoli was the best part of the whole meal. I will not be coming back to this location. Why can’t anyone in Pacific Beach open a good Chinese Restaurant?!

The only reason this Panda Express gets three stars is because I LOVE their orange chicken. The only reason the rating isn’t higher is because of their inconsistency. I went there twice in one week and the same people were there but the chow mein was mushy and the orange chicken was in all these weird big chunks. Nothing wrong with the people who were serving or with the cleanliness but it’s kind of annoying when a franchise doesn’t cook their food consistently :(

Its in Vons. I think that since its not a crazy busy Panda, maybe everything isn’t always as fresh. I used to live by a different Panda. If you went in when it was slow at 3pm, it wasn’t very good. If you went during rush hour at 5, it was the bomb. Panda fluctuates so much depending on freshness. Parking here is a pain too. Usually Vons and this whole plaza is pretty busy, there is no way you’re messing with Vons just to go to Panda. But if you happen to be in there, its very convenient. I’m a fan of Panda Express in general, so I can get the chicken and be happy.

So, I know Panda Express is not the greatest Chinese food by any means, but this location takes the chain to a new low. Their food is so disgustingly greasy; an order of the rice and/or chow mein will leave a puddle of oil in the bottom of the container. I left a to-go carton on my coffee table for about 20 minutes and found a little puddle of grease under it when I picked it up. This should have been enough to make me stop going there but, alas, I was desperate so went back one more time. This time, I had the pleasure of eating(or not eating, as it turned out) rice that was not only excessively greasy, but crunchy… and not crunchy in the slightly undercooked way… crunchy in the«is this left over from last night?» kind of way. Yuck! I ended up throwing it out. I have learned my lesson and WILLNOT be eating here again, no matter how convenient.

Going to Vons when you’re hungry isn’t best idea, but you can stop here to get some food after you get your groceries so you have instant gratification and not need to cook dinner. It’s Panda Express… probably not the healthiest, but it’s fast, quick, hot & tasty. You can choose to be healthier by getting brown rice or having mixed veggies on the side. «Fresh Veggies Cut Daily» = See my pic: I got the Chicken with String Beans and Beef Broccoli and both were good. The veggie spring rolls were good, not great. Service was friendly and they gave us samples of whatever we asked for. Who doesn’t love a good free sample? :-) The bad reviews are old… This place isn’t bad for what it is: a Chinese take-out buffet. Give this place a chance and have some tasty quick Chinese food. :-)

No Pot Stickers, no black pepper chicken. The 2nd star is ’cause the Orange Chicken is a familiar favorite.

If you like lots of CARBS, go here. Good luck surfing thru the noodles to try to find the chicken or beef. Fast service though.
