What is going on? Boxes everywhere and maybe, maybe 2 registers opened. Ugh. The deli. One deli clerk and 5 customers and not a care in the world from her that there’s a line. I left and didn’t want to be a staring, desperate eyes in the headlights customer. The self checkout is your best bet, but be mindful for if you have one slip up while scanning, scanning and re scanning, the lines develops and then you’re flagged needing help.? All I did was enter my club #. Also, inflated priced everything which is weird; its yoplait.

My son wanted«Spaghetti-O’s». I could not find them and so I asked a worker«Mickie» from produce who was walking by and she said«Maybe aisle 2 or 3» and kept walking. I never found them as they turned out to be out of stock. She showed zero interest in helping and acted as if I was bothering her. What happened to customer service? No wonder Trader Joe’s has become so popular, they seem to care and try to assist shoppers. Come on Vons/Safeway, try to improve your customer service.

Not the cheapest, but certainly quality products and top-notch customer service. Props to supervisor Saul, and manager Mark Davis — had an unfortunate incident and they made it righter than rain. Merry Christmas to all, as it’s almost Christmas Eve day :)

The kids and I had to stop and get some picnic foods. While dad ordered a yummy deli sandwich we walked thru and picked out our goodies. Very clean store, and the deli counter lady was very nice.

I live in pb and try to avoid this place at all costs. 1st the bakery doesn’t have anyone there who can take direction, even with a picture of the simplest of designs. I’ve gone there to try to order a cake for my sons birthday party and the person behind the counter actually asked me to come back when someone else was working. No thanks, went to Ralph’s and got the best cake ever!!! Secondly, I just left by vons a second ago and I counted 3 women walking around the store with super black feet and no shoes on. Sooooo nasty. Again, I try to avoid shopping here because it’s always such a gross or weird or annoying experience…

Took way too long to be helped at the sandwich area so I left. Lotta girls walking around pretending to more important things.

Just for you coupons that’re sent to my account seem to be geared specifically to my personal taste and interest, very useful and endearing. It’s becoming more reliable to use now a days, occasional glitches, but if I approach the manager, they’ve always refunded me the difference.

Lousy lousy service. Why have a meat counter if you’re going to ignore the people waiting? Lines for checkout tend to be long too. But the prices are high so I guess that helps.

I will admit this supermarket bakery has surprisingly good cakes, pies and donuts. The problem and why I can’t give more than two stars is the big problem. Their donut/Danish case has had many, many tiny bugs flying around the last few times I’ve thought about picking up donuts. They’re all over the pastries and landing and getting stuck in icing. It’s disgusting. They need to clean up their act.

This is probably the worst grocery store in San Diego and the worst grocery store I’ve ever been to… ever. I second every 1 star review. This Von’s is understaffed, the employees are space cadets, they are always stocking which means boxes are usually everywhere and things you want to buy are usually in those boxes. With so many other options to buy groceries its a wonder why anyone goes here, the convenience isn’t really a convenience.

The bathrooms in this place are always a mess. Primarily because everything in there is broken(for years). The toilet leaks water, which makes the floor wet and dominoes easily into a mess when things fall on the floor. The toilet paper housing is broken and always laying on the floor. The towel dispenser housing is always broken and popped open. The paper towel dispenser often doesnt work. The trash can lid is usually knocked off and laying on the floor. Fix the leak. Fix the plastic bits. Get a trash can without a lid. And the thing would not always be a mess. I wish i could post photos. It was even worse than normal last night. Funny how the cheapo culture of Safeway has overtaken Vons. They finally got some new carts, so that is an improvement. Also, the prices on the soda aisle bounce around like crazy. Pain in the neck. Also, you have to use the spy cards to get typical discounts, so all your purchases are getting sucked into databases. So glad the Trader Joe’s moved closer!

I was surprised this morning to be ignored at a fish section for 5 min, just standing there waiting for this bearded guy to arrange fish in the freezer display. We were 2 steps away from him just patiently waiting, and he didn’t even for a moment acknowledged his customers. No «good morning», no «hi», and no «thank you» after the purchase.

The flowers here are absolutely beautiful! The bakery is hit or miss. There are some delicious items, but the single slices of cake were flat last week. The freezer section is small and it sometimes isn’t fully stocked. The fruits and veggies have a great variety and are usually well stocked. The check out time is usually pretty quick, but can be left when they are busy. There is a secret parking lot behind the store, which is good because parking can be an issue.

One of the worst markets I’ve ever been in. Why do they open at 5AM if they’re clearly not ready to do business? Items and empty boxes all over the floor, grumpy employees, and just a gross vibe. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Management tip from the doctor(Notorious MD): don’t open your doors until you’re actually ready to do business.

This is without a doubt the worst run grocery store I have ever been in. The lines are always ridiculous and they seem unwilling or unable to open additional check stands. I am sure they have the resources to appropriately staff this store because the prices are 25% higher than anything in the area. The layout of the store is terrible. There are so many random items just sitting in the middle of aisles. It is pretty obvious they just don’t care. Just terrible and the manager and Vons should be embarrassed.

Every time I come into this store I leave disappointed. I prefer and will stand by shopping at Ralph’s instead. This was my last trip to vons, I hope ever. There is absolutely NO customer service and it is appalling at their lack of friendliness. In comparison to Ralph’s, every time I’m there I am greeted with a smile, light conversation at check out, etc. Today, as always when I come here, nobody said hello. A clerk opened up a line without saying anything to me as I was looking at him for the go ahead. Still, once in line, he or the bagging person said nothing. I asked to use a coupon on my purchase which would’ve given me $ 25 off, not like it’s a huge deal but hey that’s a tank of gas I’m saving myself! Instead he was rude about it, was also rude towards me that I didn’t remember my vons phone number(clearly I shop here, NEVER) come to find out, the clerk was the assistant manager! Way to go vons, the lack of customer service is trickled down from management to everyone else and you’re doing a disservice by not implementing customary human interactions. I’m disgusted that you can’t step your game up. No wonder this location averages 3 stars on Unilocal.Peace out.

It’s your normal Vons, but most of the items are overpriced — especially the water, soda, and beer/liquor. If you plan on drinking in the car before hitting the bars, then you can still save a bunch of money by coming here first. Just remember«don’t drink and drive».

This place gets 2 stars because of the 24-hour convenience they have. Having that said, the overall quality of this store sucks! The customer service is very poor. They have a big attitude, and very long lines. Every time I come home from a pricey grocery trip I am flabbergasted with the few amount of products I bought for that price. Way too OVERPRICED! I mean I paid 7,50 for 3 regular apples! The typical chain grocery store for(late night) emergency needs. More than that I would stay away from it. At the end of the day you don’t get what you pay for.

Yes, this place is awesome. They have Redbox, Starbucks, Panda express and they are open 24 hours a day. Great wine section and just about everything you want in groceries. The parking lot is a bit too small for the store and usually always jammed.

Is this the worst grocery store ever or the best? Damn it, it’s both. Go on off hours and you’ve never met friendlier checkers and staff. It’s a well-stocked store with an excellent selection of wine, beer and organic veggies. A huge bag of organic kale for $ 5? Yes, please! They also have a: Starbucks, Redbox, and Panda Express. And they’re open 24⁄7. But try to shop after work, and prepare for a messy, people-packed shopping experience with horrific lines. The typically friendly employees turn indifferent. I’ve waited as long as 28-minutes to check out. There are often 6 or more people in front of you. Once I waited over 20-minutes, then the cashier made a mistake and I had to wait in another line, the customer service line, to correct the cashier’s error. It’s really a management problem. Vons, I am going to solve your issues with one sentence: you need for additional staff and cashiers at peak hours. This is one of your busiest stores. Give your customers excellent service at all times. Bonus advice: don’t train new workers at peak hours.
