I like here because of the food is better than PANDAEXPRESS. It is very clean here and open kitchen. The chicken is awesome much better than KFC. I am sure I will come back

I’m writing this review because of their Bobas! Honestly the atmosphere is like a hole in a wall joint. Their chicken looks decent we didn’t order any though. I looked at the reviews on here most are disappointed about the Chinese food :(if your looking for Chinese food in downtown that’s cheap try great wall on broadway they have such a good amount helping! I go there regularly. But I’m giving this place 3 star because of their bobas! I live in downtown, and this place cured my boba craving! I didn’t have to go all the way to Hillcrest or Kearny mesa to get my fix. I got the strawberry boba it was delightful :) me and my boyfriend were around and I saw their sign outside. They didn’t have very much flavors, they had strawberry, mango, milk tea, Thai tea and something else can’t remember. If your in the area and don’t want to bust a mission far this is the place for a quick boba fix :) it was $ 2.49 plus 50cents for the boba. I don’t know if I’d try their Chinese food. But I’ll try their fried chicken though :)

Came by here for lunch before heading off to work. Been wanting to check this place out. What can I say about this place… it’s a ok-ok, not that great as popeyes. They claimed the ice tea is homemade… yeah right. It’s instant tea mix. Not made with tea bags. False advertising! I ordered Cajun chicken tenders, it’s salty but okay taste. I got honey biscuits, it tastes drrrrrrry and crumbles when you bite. Made me drink up my «homemade» tea quickly than expected. The customer service, I felt they rush it by already total up my meal in middle of my ordering thst im trying to add into my meal, they don’t listen. Overall this place i give it one star and wouldn’t recommend it for sit down meal with friends or families. This place is okay for a quick grab before heading to trolley or something small quick meal.

I liked the orange chicken and chow mein noodles. I’ve eaten here a few times and never got sick. My girlfriend actually loves this place for what it is. Decent hole in the wall Chinese, cheap, and served in mass quantities. Usually I look at the entrée options and figure out what looks the best and so far have been pleasantly surprised actually. Compared to Chinese I’ve dealt with in East County SD growing up, this place rocks! In my opinion this place delivers what it appears to be. This isn’t fine dining, this is a take out place. I’ve had other nicer looking restaurants actually have worse food. If you live close by and like big portioned inexpensive Chinese food you may have found your winner. Happy eating!

OMG! thank god im alive. Come at your own risk. I seriously thought i was going to get shot. This place is located in East Village… not so safe part of DT, although they have nice new apartment homes/condos :) any way… i walked here from the office since its a block away. Walked in and a customer was yelling at the employee because she didn’t have enough change — the customer was paying her entire meal in pennies(ALLPENNIES!!) I would have offered to pay but i was scared for my life. I can see the frustration in the employee’s face and the customer continues to yell and other customers start to yell. idk i think they’re just crazy and escaped from a mental facility or suntn! AAAAHHHH! i just want fried rice and coconut shrimp. After all the yelling and screaming. i got my food… coconut shrimp was actually really good. Well i’m not coming back!

perfect location, had the basketball game on which made the wait almost 2 fast but oh it’s fast food my bad, it’s clean, had plenty of room at lunch time. The first time I went in I was confused about what to order and the Lady said hey try this fish and broke a piece off and gave it to me to try.(yummy) so I ordered some with the wings already had a gatorade. Took it to go eat in a nice quite place of my choosing. prices can add up fast

I went in having high hopes about the place but I was disappointed to find the food was more than lacking it was quite disgusting! Children were running around with no indication by parents or staff to settle down, staff was yelling at each other and the place was just a greasy mess. 1 star for saying«have a nice day» I suppose.

Mediocre greasy fast Chinese food coupled with horrible customer service. We came in looking for some Chinese food to go as the sign advertised and the woman taking our order had a lot of attitude first and foremost. I asked if I could use their restroom and she said you have to pay first before you use it. I get it you don’t want riff raff using your restroom(it is located right near the trolley off of market and park so the neighborhood is sketch) but I was waiting in line to order. I order the 1 entrée plate with chow mein and Orange chicken and it was incredibly greasy and gross. I couldn’t even finish my plate. Everything considered I will just go to Panda Express for Chinese take out in the future. Not coming back here anytime soon due to rude staff and greasy/disfiguring food.

So Iv turned into a Daygo trolley troll! WTH is Krispy Krunchy Chicken? In a fast food Chinese joint? Got off at Park & Market accidentally & smelt the orange chicken calling my name. Amazing sweet & spicy orange chicken. No cracked out chicken dough balls w/orange sauce here. It’s right up there w/Pick up stix orange chicken but cheaper. The Krispy Krunchy Chicken tenders & mixed pieces w/a side of red beans & rice are winners. Kinda reminds me of the Louisiana Fried Chicken franchise spots you find in L.A. Chinese fast food restos. & donut shops. The cooks with the thick Chinese accent arguing w/all the ghetto peeps about what pieces of chicken should go in their to go box is priceless. Chinese side: 1. Orange Chicken 2. Chicken egg rolls Krispy Krunchy Chicken side: 1.Cajun Tenders 2. Mixed fried 3. Red beans & rice 4. Generic vs. of Jambalaya. Hot dogs w/chicken but pretty tasty. Whoever thinks this place has no flavor must have no taste buds left cuz mouths an ashtray.

I ordered a six piece fried chicken strip meal and the cook in the back came out and asked me if I’d like to wait three min for fresh chicken(instead of the old ones). Pretty cool and I did! but please keep in mind this is nothing fancy just fast food fried chicken and Chinese food.

My girlfriend and I, were craving some Chinese food. So we randomly saw this place. The food was absolutely gross. We had the noodles with rice and some orange chicken. It was honestly a disgusting taste didn’t even finish the food had to throw it away after the second bite.

Sorry to say this place was very very bad. Food had no flavor. Should have went to panda express or anywhere else. Just awful. Dam I miss the OG Rice King.

I have eaten here three times with good food each time. The orange chicken is really good. The broccoli beef was great too. All three times, we called in our order and it was waiting for us when we arrived. It is nice to have a fast service Chinese Restaurant in the neighborhood. I only wish they delivered.

This place always has the most unusual characters on each side of the block. They are right at the end/beginning of the trolley station ‘park & market’. I really want to like this place so I tried most things. The food is always super greasy and all the food is this way. They do, sometimes, make okay cheese wontons and egg rolls. But, sometimes I get the ones that have seen better hours. Customer service is super cool. Kinda be prepared to hurry up order your sh! t and move on. Speak up if you need or want something. I like it. Just wish the food was 2 stars higher. I wouldn’t mind paying more for better food.

My boyfriend and I were excited to find Chinese food to go only a few blocks away from home. We’ve come here on numerous occasions, but during our first visit we noticed the window signage regarding how they use vegetable oil, low fat, and low sodium cooking. Fantastic! Took a look at their easy to read and non-cluttered menu board. You can get 3 items PLUS rice, noodles, or half and half for far cheaper than you can at greasy old Panda Express. They really pack that large to-go box to the limit, and that makes the already great value even better. Their black pepper chicken, mushroom chicken, wings, cream cheese wontons, and egg drop soup are some of my favorite items. I never get that grease acting like chapstick on your lips feeling like I do at other chinese food establishments. Also, please… PLEASE do not walk away without having purchased their signature sweet milk tea with optional boba. Absolutely delicious! The husband and wife owners are very sweet and kind. One time we had arrived at almost closing time. We always go half and half on the rice and noodles and I was a little saddened to see that there were no more noodles. The owners quickly told me they’d have it ready in 5 minutes and went out of their way to make a generous portion of noodles just for us. Sriracha, sweet plum sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, and mustard are always available to either place in a small condiment to-go cup w/lid or to carry away in small packets. They always make sure to bag and secure or double bag and tie, when appropriate, all our items to make sure our food makes a safe trip back to the car. Even our sweet milk boba tea is placed in a secure little bag. Parking is hard to find, but it’s Downtown and that’s expected. Do yourself a favor and park at the Albertson’s underground parking lot a block away. Are you technically allowed to park there? No, but they always have a ton of parking. Is it easy to get away with? Yes. No one checks the structure let alone follows patrons to see where they’re going. If you’re a fan of Panda Express and have already bought in to their greasy meals and overpriced food in a chinese food establishment that is being inviting when it comes to the ambience and décor, then save yourself the trouble by not coming here. This place boasts a good value for what you get; packed food, and non-greasy choices. Tips for folks heading to the store when they’re about to close for the night: Haggle! The owners are always willing to give you a great deal on what they have left during closing time. Sometimes there are only a few choices, sometimes more. Either way, get yourself a great deal!

I work a couple blocks away and I’ve been here a few times already for lunch. Don’t expect greatness, but this Chinese food is very reasonable and tasty. Quick and efficient, easy for a to-go meal as well. The kitchen and serving line looks clean, dining tables are clean as well. The staff has always been very friendly and attentive with me. Great customer service all around! Due to the location, you can occasionally see some transients wandering through, but nothing too serious. The food is good and the portions tend to be generous. I’ve had a few of the meat dishes(chicken, beef, and pork) and it’s been good quality in my opinion. I’m not used to seeing fried chicken as an option in quick service Chinese food places, so I’ll have to try that another time. Another reviewer commented about the oil used and how that makes the fried rice and chow main taste different, and I would have to agree. It’s not a bad taste, necessarily, but a little different from other places.

Tried this spot out walking around East Village for lunch. They apparently cook their food in vegetable oil and supposedly its lower in fat. I ordered fried rice, salt and pepper wings, and the orange chicken. It did taste different then typical Chinese to go food. The orange chicken was sort of mushy, the rice was a bit stiff, and the wings were not greasy and seemed to lack in in the flavor department. Add a bottle of soda I ran up the tab to just over $ 8. Wasn’t really worth the price.

Unfortunately this place’s food was absolutely disgusting. The people working there/owners or whoever they were, are very nice, and I feel bad leaving a negative review, but wow, I don’t think you can find worse chinese food. I ordered a staple chinese food item — beef w/broccoli and a cup of wonton soup. Both were equally disgusting. I threw both out after only a few bites. Also, the guy cooking was in flip flops, I found that rather dirty/unsanitary. Even though this place is next to the trolley and there’s a lot of grungy people chilling around here, I don’t think even they would enjoy this chinese food.

Sadly, this place was disappointing. I really needed a quick place for Chinese food around my area and I was so excited for this. Went to get a combo meal for dinner around 6PM. That’s early in my book, so I was confused as to why the orange chicken was soggy, the beef and broccoli was overcooked so much that you could have made mashed broccoli, the fried rice was dry and salty, and the chow mein mushy and gross beyond belief. The owners and service seemed really nice, and the food is cheap($ 6 for 2 combo meal). However, this place was so bad that after taking a bite from each item I threw it away. I hope they shape up soon. I am HANGRY for Chinese food downtown.
