I had to find a quick bite while residing in Rancho Bernardo for the week, I love Greek food and these guy totally hit the nail on the head! I got the super gyro and I can’t tell you where I’ve had better lamb. Tzatziki tasted fresh and pulled the sandwich together. If you’re in town, give them a shot!

Hands down best greek food in san diego. Everything is freshly made from the warm pitas to the rich and creamy hummus. If your sick of imitators like Daphneys or that other place then come here and it will not dissapoint. The staff is super friendly and cares about the quality of the food and your enjoyment of it. You must come here if you love Greek food. I reccommend the vegetarian platter and Im not a vegetarian. I get it every time I come here. Also cant pass up the baklava. Seriously just the best place.

This place is my go to whenever I go out with my boyfriend’s family. My boyfriend and his family have been coming here for years now, and I see why. I have been to this restaurant a handful of times and they never disappoint. It’s a family run restaurant with fresh, authentic Greek food. Their saganaki is a must. I usually get their salad with either gyros or chicken. Their salad dressing is feta cheese based and very good. Their gyro meat is very fresh here as well and not so greasy compared to other places. I highly recommend this place for some authentic Greek food and if you’re a gyro fanatic.

I worked here for a little while and I remember I had no money, Maggie and tony hired me the same day I came in. I love these people, they have such a big heart and Joseph was an awesome boss too. I learned so much from this family and the experience helped a lot, they really helped me when nobody else would. The food was always amazing and chef tony would always make us clean or wash our hands! The food you are being served is so clean and prepared as if you were making it yourself or for your family. Cleanliness and attention to prep/cooking was always a big deal, amazing place.

Cute little mom and pop greek café. I enjoyed my lamb gyro. I especially liked the galacto boureko. It is a puff pastry filled with custard and has an orange glaze on top. So yummy. The folks helping us were nice and kept asking us how everything tasted.

Expected more for the price … More food More people(at 12:30) More service Just didn’t cut it for me. The taste was good but not for the money. I Spent $ 23 for lunch on a combo plate(gyro&kabob) plus a cup of soup… And a coke. Should have been no more than $ 12 – 15 max ! Thanks but I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Very nice atmosphere, family owned, authentic Greek. Started with the small hummus order, which was plenty and really good hummus(and I’m Israeli so I have high standards). Had the Gyro plate and it was absolutely delightful. Delicious and lean meat that is perfectly seasoned. Nice staff and decently priced. Enjoy!

The best, most authentic Greek food around! Even after moving 25 minutes away, this is still our go-to place. Nothing in the RB/PQ/Poway/Mira Mesa areas even come close. The entrees are a little pricier than the other places around, but it’s totally worth it for the quality of food you’re getting. And despite the entrée prices, the prices on their pita bread is awesome! 12 pieces for $ 1.20 or something like that. It’s always hot, fresh and fluffy(: Last but not least, make sure you sign up for their e-mails! They send out coupons(:

Must try best grape leaves I’ve had in years! Meals are good size but I wish they included a small salad. I wish they had pine nuts in rice like I grew up on too, but I’m a brat! Not a fancy place but clean. They do have a happy hour on appetizers which are all wonderful! They are behind Carl’s Jr so you don’t miss them. Much better then the chain Greek restaurants for sure, all home made family run. I have brought friends and family and they all love!

I come here every so often for lunch. I’m a creature of habit so I get the same thing every time, a gyro sandwich so I can’t comment on anything else. I can order online and go pick it up and bring it back to the office on a busy day. The gyro is great, the pita is fresh and soft and the service is always prompt and friendly. Maybe I’ll branch out and try something new one of these days…

Terrible service from the woman who runs the counter, another employee says she’s management or the owner. Walked in to place a to-go order and a when I questioned the 20 – 25 minute wait, she laughed and said«well it’s not like you called ahead». Really? I ordered a Gyro– not like you have to cook anything fresh. Oh, and there was no one in the business, and 1 person waiting. Maybe you should look at adding some staff if it takes that long to make a Gyro– or a simple apology for the wait– but don’t make the people paying your bills feel like crap because you wanted them to phone in an order to make your life easier. The food was average, certainly not something I’d send people to unless they were standing right in front of the place. Oh, and make sure you phone your order in if you want to feel appreciated as a customer.

What a comforting place! Home cooked food and extremely friendly service! Pegasus is reliable and tasty, without falter! While I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had here, the Moussaka from Pegasus is astonishingly delicious. Also, I don’t know what they do to their cous cous, but it’s amazing. Pegasus has a slightly old fashioned(albeit very charming) décor that will make you feel like you are at an extended family member’s house being given food that someone cared about. Maggie is the nicest server I’ve ever had ~ We return on days when things haven’t gone that well and trust that their food and ambiance will make us feel better! They’ve never let anyone down yet!

We met another couple here a few nights ago and were very pleased. The food was delicious, and the co-owner(wife) served us. She was so sweet and helpful! Our friends are vegetarian, and were very pleased with the Greek Salad and the Vegetarian Sampler. My Kibbeh was good, and the Avgolemeno soup was great. We all loved the food. They are remodeling right n ow, so there was plastic on the walls/windows, so it will be exciting to see the changes. Very casual atmosphere — nothing spectacular — but charming. We were very happy and will be going back!

Love this place. We ordered the Pegasus Combination, which featured gyros, chicken souvlaki and moussaka, with couscous, hummus and tzatziki sauce on the side. We also ordered a horto soup as a starter, as well as rice pudding for dessert. Horto soup(chicken curry soup with eggplants, apples, bell peppers, and rice): This is one of the best soups I have ever had in my life. Its ingredients sound a little weird(did you say apples?), but it was delicious and creamy. $ 3.85 for a teeny cup, a little higher than I would have liked. Also, it was listed as a special on the board, but for some reason they wouldn’t allow us to get the special price. The gyros were excellent. Perfectly seared on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. Yum. Dipped in the hummus, it was even better. The chicken skewer was also very good. It didn’t have crazy flavors(it was just grilled chicken after all), but it was cooked well and super moist. The moussaka, which is eggplant and beef, was incredible. They make it with bechamel on top and the result is fantastic. The couscous and hummus were super good, and I don’t usually like either of those. The hummus was so creamy and I just wanted more of it. The rice pudding: Everyone knows that Egyptian rice pudding is the best, but the Greek version comes close. This is a great dessert, but it’s very pricey at Pegasus. Our server, who is probably the owner, was very friendly. The restaurant and especially the food has more of a «homemade» feel than a «restaurant» feel. To me, this is a good thing. My only problem is their pricing — it’s way too high. We spent over $ 27, not including tips, on one entrée, one tiny cup of soup, and one dessert.
