I had Bernard install remote control shades in my condo in Hillcrest and he did an excellent job. He was very flexible in arranging his schedule to visit with very short notice. He recommended something completely different than I had originally thought I wanted and they turned out beautiful. The product came in later than expected but he was up front that it might take longer and kept me informed — how refreshing! I’m now using him on two more condos we have as rentals. Bernard and his team are awesome!

Brought Broken Blinds To Royal Covering, and they quoted me a time frame of about a week to fix my blinds. They called me about a day later. My blinds were ready for pick up. So much faster than I expected. Thanks Royal Coverings for the fast service, and great customer service too. :-)

We have a ton of blinds in our house and one came apart at the base. We found these guys from the manufacture. Bernard greeted and helped me right away. He quickly identified the problem and said they could take care of it for a very reasonable price. I got a call back the next day and picked it up a couple of days later. It looks perfect and it was very reasonable. Again Bernard was pleasant to deal with and came through as promised! I will gladly bring my business back to these guys!

If you work with someone on the phone and let them know that you are going to make it there as close as possible to 8:00, 9:07 is not that close. I called and spoke to the lady at 8:35, she told me that her people were out of the office, and then they showed up over 30 minutes later. She told me that they had encountered a lot of traffic(their office is located 6.8 miles north of our home). When they got here they told me that she had sent them to another location this morning before coming to ours. Either way, two different stories, and late, late late. If you’re interested in having someone be respectful of your time, I would search somewhere else.

Bernard came to house to fix motorized window screens. He was great. He did a lot of troubleshooting and never gave up! He did not charge me any service fees until the job was done and everything worked. The cost of the job was very fair and I am so happy with the result.

I am over the moon with the beautiful drapes I just received from San Diego Blinds & Draperies! I had used another company to have patio drapes made for my bedroom. It took over a year for them to be repaired,(long story). Then I was referred to SDB&D. Best referral I have ever received. Bruce came over to measure the other window I had in my bedroom, he was very professional. Within 2 days I received a quote from Michelle. The next day the owner came over, took pictures re-measured and answered all my questions. He was able to get the same fabric that was used on my patio drapes, and the price was very reasonable including installation. The installation was seamless, measurements were correct, the drapes look like a million dollars. I am VERY happy to say the least. I will be using SDB&D again. Maybe a matching bedspread? I still have a few windows that will need covering and I know who I will be calling!

I review allot on Trip Advisor but rarely on Unilocal.This guy is awesome. The service I received was incredible. My house’s blinds are all Hunter Douglas and the master bedroom shade is a top/down/bottom up shade etc. Been used maybe 20 times in the past Six years. The shade was in a locked open position that allows the light to be my wake up call at 6:00 am for sunrise, not my wake up time. I called Hunter Douglas who referred me to two shops for service. One never returned my call and the other SD. Blinds. When I called in I spoke with Bernard. He instructed me on how to take the could the shade down and as I explained it was an urgent fix effecting my sleep! He invited me to bring it in and said he would see if could rush repair it. I brought it in and he explained Michelle would call Hunter Douglas regarding the warranty. He called me back 2 hours later and had repaired the blinds! TWOFREAKINGHOURSLATER! When I went back he explained how to install the shade as this is an area I’m not the best at. He went through it several times with me. I went home installed it without an issue. Truly exceptional service. I endorse and highly recommend Bernard and his company. Thank You for exceeding my expectations in every way.

I was surprised to hear that Bernard at San Diego Blinds & Draperies repaired blinds(day/night blinds) for RV’s. What a find, as repairs are normally done by RV shops(more expensive) who will not remove your blinds. Bernard provide excellent service, not only did he drive to my home and removed my blinds, but he returned in 2 days and installed them. I did not receive any bad service as mentioned by other reviewers from the receptionist or Bernard. I can only vouch for the service I rec’d which was very upfront and professional.

Did good work but the service is extremely slow and they have TERRIBLE(nearly non-existent) communication. Michelle(their receptionist I guess?) is either super forgetful or doesn’t care. You’ll get the«we’ll call you back» lip service and they never will. Happened about 4 times. I just wanted to know what was going on and to get a time estimate. We were anxious to get this done before the holidays. They picked up my broken louver on November 29th. 22 days later, they finally came back to install the two louvers. I was beginning to wonder if I just had my louver stolen and they weren’t even a real company. They charged me $ 75 to order/install 2 louvers – took them 10 minutes to install. Seems a little steep to me. If you really don’t want to do it yourself, and you tried a few other companies, maybe try SDBD, but definitely make it a last resort. It was a very frustrating experience.
