Despite what the title implies, Samurai Sam’s is NOTCLOSED. I walked by it today and it’s doing plenty of business, serving decent sushi and TERRIBLE noodles. As long as you stay away from the«grill» part of the menu, I think you’re going to be fine. It’s reasonably fast, and a bit below the median price in sushi. They are suppose to start having sushi pieces, but the owner is not certain when. — UPDATE — it’s totally closed… but another sushi joint will open in its place in mid December 2007.

All I can say is ick. We used to get free lunches at work and being a person who just left college and was used to being poor and hungry, I always took advantage of the free lunch… unless it was Samurai Sam’s. Greasy terriaki, worse sushi than I can get at a 7 – 11, under steamed vegetables. The whole thing literally left a terrible taste in my mouth. Even a poor college kid would voluntarily fork out some cash NOT to eat here. Take my advice and go eat some road kill if you want something that tastes like this… at least you’ll save some money.

i didn’t expect it to be anything that great. good thing i didn’t because it was pretty gross. the roll i got was lukewarm. that’s not healthy is it? one good thing is they had serve yourself pickled ginger. i really like pickled ginger. japanese fast food could be a lot better than this.

I’ve been there 3 times and I give them a bad rating mainly because of their service. They’re really rude and don’t ‘fess up to messing up your order. I told the lady, I wanted a bottled water. I didn’t get one when I picked up my order. I asked why and she said, «oh I didn’t charge you for one.» Ok it wasn’t even, ‘I’m sorry I forgot that you ordered the water.’ or ‘I’m sorry miss I forgot to charge you for the water, would you like to pay for it now?’ to which I gladly would have, cuz I was parched. It was just simply, «I didn’t charge you.» while giving me this snotty look. The manager was right there, and didn’t say anything, but was rather giving me dirty looks for asking such a question. HUGE turn off The food was ok. Nothing great. Crunchy rolls were more soggy than crunchy. Save your money for better food and BETTER service. Don’t go here.

Nothing extraordinary here, hence the average rating. Just teriyaki bowls and such. When you have a coupon it can be a good deal.
