I absolutely love the food and spirit here! Cassondra was the sweetest and made our visit at smash incredibly fun. Having a great burger with a big smile is a great combination you can’t deny that’s for sure!

Best burger I have had in decades!!! I ordered the Spicy Baja Smash. Delicious!!! The hamburger meat is well seasoned. Their shoe string fries are the best!!! Lightly salted and crispy. Reasonably priced for such fresh food. Wish there was one close to my home.

Decent nothing too special, place has kind of an odd smell to it, prices are a little high, and the past few times I’ve went my order was screwed up. Only reason I have 2 stars is because the staff was generally friendly and the aesthetics of the place were nice. If you want anything more than a decent burger, look elsewhere.

Thanks Cassandra! You made my evening with excellent service! The server was excellent, too and very quick service. The burger was great, too! Oh, and they even have a FIDO burger for my dog, Bella. Thanks everyone!

Although nothing was technically wrong with anything that we ordered, there was nothing spectacular or standoutish about our meal. The menu consists of typical burgers, chicken sandwiches and salads equivalent to what you would find at most fast food joints. All burgers are cooked to the same temperature which is a pet peeve of mine since I like meat cooked at medium rare. The atmosphere is comfy with large booths, great AC and friendly staff. We were impressed by their fountain soda selection. THE burgers had decent flavor, but are a bit pricey considering the similarity to places like Carl’s Jr or burger King.

3.5 stars, I’m so conflicted with this review because this was my first time here and I was told to try the smash fries by a friend. They were amazing !!! I also got the avocado club burger which was just OK. Seemed like the beef patty was missing something like seasoning or maybe the hamburger meat was not good quality. But it was kind of watery and just fair. I will be back to try the burgers again and give it another chance but mostly because those yummy smash fries !!

My bf and I came here before he headed home. It is located close to the airport which was nice for us. We had the bacon cheeseburger, buffalo fries, jalapeño burger and smash fries. Delicious! Our food came out prompt and hot. The fries are a little skinny which we were both not a fan of and when we first arrived it took about 3mins before we were acknowledged. Overall great burgers and I’d definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious. The meat was so tender and juicy and the avocado was fresh. If you get a burger, you have to try it on the egg bun. Service is really good too.

Working at Liberty Station, my co-workers wanted to grab a bite. Some people wanted Smashburger some wanted Five guys. We settled on SB since I had never tried it before and had heard great things. We placed our order and sent one of our guys out to pick up the food. 20 minutes later the ginourmous bag showed up! I grabbed my bag that was separately bagged and labeled, unwrapped it and took a bite… After a few bites I noticed there was something missing… Where is the Avocado in my Avocado Club??? How do they skip one of the main ingredients in the sandwich? It’s in the name!!!

Who doesn’t love their burgers? Hey, when you need to cheat a little and really have a burger jones… they won’t let you down. You can eat on the run here or sit a little while. Everything’s cooked to order, and don’t feel weird about asking them to leave things off, they seem cool with it. This location is a in a kind of congested little shopping center right off the gate and has a lot of traffic in and out; but inside the oasis of burgerdom, you’re right at home with what you’d expect at Smash. Plenty of booths and tables, a little outdoor patio as well. I’m a salad freak so I usually get one. I do like their chicken caesar and he usually INHALES the bacon cheeseburger and starts looking for another… the fries are great too.(I’m promise I’m gonna try that spinach and goat cheese burger soon… sounds fab!) Whether you get fancy with it or stick to the standards, you’ll be golden at Smash, don’t worry. TIP: Watch the markings on the parking spots in this lot. Some are like 15 minutes and they do check ‘em and ticket!

My 1st time here, and it was an enjoyable experience. I was impressed with affordable prices, and the excellent taste of my order. I highly recommend the Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger

Smashburger has always been on my radar but for some reason it had never topped the list when going out to lunch. Well, yesterday I found myself in the Liberty Station area for most of the day/night and my brother offered to grab some lunch as we set up for an event — Smashburger was walking distance. Granted, we took the food to go, but it didn’t have to travel very far or for very long. I’d say that the burger was in my hands no longer than ten minutes after leaving the restaurant, was still hot and maintained its integrity when it came to assembly. The burger itself was a bit much for me when it came to flavor. Both the patty and the mushrooms seemed over seasoned, but the bun and cheese kind of cancelled out the kitchen’s heavy hand. I ended up slamming the whole burger in a matter of minutes, not because I couldn’t put it down but rather because I was starving. The fries were, eh, fries. Nothing notable and once cold, fairly inedible — they definitely didn’t travel as well as the burger. When it comes to burger chains SB isn’t playing in the same park as their competition… not even in the same league, but hey, even a bad burger is still halfway decent on the emptiest of stomachs.

I posted a picture from my last visit. I went to pick up a milkshake for my pregnant wife. After not being acknowledged by the girl behind the counter for a significant amount of time, I ordered just one shake to go. When it arrived, it was less than ¾ full. Maybe it’s just me, but for $ 4.29 plus tax it should be at least somewhat close to full. Really guys?

It is a very yummy burger. The burger is really tasty and cooked at perfection. The fries were very good — we order the smashfries with olive oil and rosemary. The burger and the fries are made in real time and even though the server was really fast! I loved eat a «fast food burger» that doesn’t taste a fast food and they sell beer!!! Yesssss! The place is very nice. It is beautiful inside and you can sit outside as well and enjoy SD weather.

I ordered the buffalo & bleu cheese burger. I must say that I like the burger except for the bleu cheese. It was just too strong and not very fulfilling. I love he egg bun because it was soft and made the burger delicious overall!

Alright, so my return visit has netted some positive results. Although this Liberty Station location was oddly empty at 1130AM, I was greeted quickly and dealt with efficiently. The kitchen staff appeared to be bolstered from last time, and the food was prepared nicely. My big BBQ Bacon Smash and Smash fries showed up nicely presented and we’re both very tasty. I’ll be back and will bump it up again if I get another good meal. Looks good, though.

Delectable burgers with style. It’s hard to impress or stand out in a country saturated with burger joints – it’s such a basic American staple there are far more burgers than I could ever try. With that being said, I feel like this is a nice place to eat at. I’ve been to three locations and they all yield extremely similar results. The staff here is very pleasant and I felt welcomed each visit. I’ve «built» my own burger before and it got a little pricey. If you stick with their signature burgers and maybe tweak them a little bit you can find yourself a decent priced, delicious burger. No burger I received was greasy whatsoever. I will be back! UPDATE: I have tried building my own burger, the buffalo and blue cheese burger and the crispy chicken avocado club sandwich. All three are scrumptious and I continue coming back.

Smashburger is one of my favorite burger chains, consistently great service, clean restaurants and excellent food! I love their veggie burger as well as their salads, they are great about letting me add and modify items to make the perfect burger or salad. Love the fried veggies, but the standout service is really what keeps us coming back. I am glad to see them doing so well and expanding all over, they more than deserve it!

E for effort. The classic smash burger reminds me of one that’s homemade. Decent beef, patty and all the fixings that will keep you satisfied, but still feeling«meh, I’ve had better.» The smashfries are tasty with the garlic & Italian seasonings but are drenched in oil. The ones at the bottom were an oily, soggy mess. The appearance of the place reminds me of the Habit as well as the menu and process of ordering. Customer service was cool. Not overly friendly workers but they get the job done. If you dine in, they’ll bring your food to you rather than call your number or give you a buzzer or anything. I might give it one more shot in the future… but if I don’t, I wouldn’t be missing anything.
