Best bloody Mary in town! With Jana behind the bar and Barbara on the grill, you can’t go wrong. We went in for breakfast on Sunday morning and had a blast mingling with the regulars. Very reasonably priced too!

This place was cool for a kick back. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the juke box took more than an hour to play our songs and there was no one else in the bar. Otherwise, my experience was positive. This place is cash only. So ladies, leave your cash at home and make the boys buy you drinks.(Just kidding ;)) There is an ATM available if you need some money for drinks, but they are not too expensive. There are a lot of games to play and I already mentioned the juke box… But don’t give it your money unless you plan to stay awhile. We could not leave until our songs were played. There is a little parking lot on the side of the bar, so you may not have to park on the street. I’d go back if my friends wanted to hang out in the neighborhood. It was a cool dive.

This bar is a drinking establishment! They have a descent selection of beer in bottles and the usual domestics on tap. There is lots of games to play and always an eclectic crowd of young and old lifting glasses together. The parking is limited for how big this place is but I have always been able to get a spot. The bartender and owner remind me of bars back home in rural Washington State. I work nearby and always come here with coworkers when we want to have a drink.

The place is an absolute shithole. Should be condemned. You walk in and you run into the invisible wall of stale cigarette smoke. You can’t possibly enjoy food or a drink with that stench. Go to mcgregors: better food, drinks and friendlier staff. You’ve been warned.

An off the path dive bar. A true locals spot. Pool tables are .25 and .50 each. It almost feels like stepping back in time into a neighborhood spot. Cues are beat but usable. Beer selection is limited to bad taps and some bottles. At least they had Guinness. I’d come back for the pool. The inside is run down, old, and used up. If you are only into trendy dive bars you won’t like this spot.

Used to like this place but the Wed night bartender has clear«favorites». If you’re NOT part of his«favorites» you’re wasting your time. You come second or third or not at all as I witnessed. No matter what his«favorites» are ALWAYS right. Place needs MAJOR renovations. I mean, y’all really need a better ladies room!

5 Star Dive. Beers are cold and service warm. Décor is old and friendships born. OK it is what it is. 1⁄3 the price of McGregors and walking distance to Home Depot or Kaiser. What else are you looking for? Its here.

Its a dive bar alright. On the low end of the spectrum though. I love a good dive bar but to only have Bud, Bud Light and Heineken on tap? You are going to have to do better than that in SD. It’s on the grimy side of clean which doesn’t bother me horribly but just an observation. The signage out front is amazing. Go and see for yourself. They have breakfast poo for 25 cents!

I have always liked this place. I used to cook BBQ on tuesday nights there and give the food away to people, There is not happy hour because the drinks are always cheap all the time. The bartender Chad works Mon-Wed. and is as good as it gets, tell him the cowboys suck. 2 pool tables. This place is the definition of dive bar.

When you don’t feel like waiting for a pool table or paying $ 14 for a pitcher of Coors Light, hit up the Stadium Club. Dive bar for sure, but LOADS of fun. The bartenders make an honest effort to remember your name, but if they don’t, they at least remember your face. They are good at their jobs and they have fun doing it, which just makes it easier for everyone else to have fun! I think I’m usually the youngest person in there and often times there are creepers, but I still go on a regular basis. There have been many times where I’ve come in after work and wanted something other than beer but I wasn’t sure what. Last Sunday was one of those times. I told the bartender(Rob, I think??) I didn’t know what I wanted but something with little to no sugar and something strong! He made me exactly what I wanted, even though I didn’t know what that was! Love this place, will continue to frequent!

Stadium Club has made a fan of ridiculously crummy dive bars. The mismatched and holey chairs, 1920s-2000s décor, stiff drinks, and awesome bartenders! Shout out to Chad and Tony who kept my water filled all night and even sat with me in front of the jukebox and helped me pick out some awesome songs. I was actually pretty hungover from some early day drinking when I came here(and was only capable of drinking water when I arrived), but I still had a really good time! The group of friends I was with also enjoyed the pool tables, punching bag games, jukebox, and a stomach wrenching amount of drinks. For the young crowd, I can’t say this is exactly the place you’re going to meet your young party animals, but if you’re looking for a nice older crowd that’s probably had one too many, this is a good spot for you. However, the bartenders were young and lively and probably had more to drink just taking shots with people than the patrons did! One of my friends even asked about a «Charlie Brown» shot, and since Chad had never had it before, he poured two on the spot(and on the house) and they took them together :) Awesome. Like I said before, I am now a huge fan of dive bars simply on the fact that they give you the opportunity to be on a first name basis with the bartenders. Which will probably also lead to many free drinks being had and many games of pool being played, poorly. We stayed until closing, and we were the only people still there… so it kind of felt like our own private bar being bartended by a few of our buddies. Now I don’t really live nearby, but I would love to come back here either during the day(which I head is more busy than night?) or during one of their funny themed evenings.

I(heart) Stadium Club Maybe it’s because they serve up ice cold pitchers of Coors Light for $ 7 Maybe it’s because I’ve met like 10 ex-boyfriends here and they’re all older than my parents Maybe because I’m younger and hotter than 98% of their patrons Maybe it’s because Barbara does that crazy thing with her tongue and I have to look away Maybe because Josh is a total cutie and makes me nervous Maybe because Chad threatened to spill the beans on my love affair Maybe because a certain owner who remains nameless trys to use counterfeit bills at Home Depot Maybe because the first time I went there, I snuck into the freezer and stole a pound of hamburger, let it defrost in my purse overnight, and ate tacos the next day I 8====D Stadium Club

Does the bar crowd frequent AA meetings… probably not, but should. Has the carpet been vacuumed this decade… doubtful. Will I get cheap, strong drinks, full access to the jukebox, stellar people watching, and bar games galore… most definitely! We live close by, hence our frequent trips to the good olé’ S.C. We drink plenty for little cash, play darts and pool to our hearts content, and always enjoy our evening bar staff — — - especially Eric and Chad! It’s not classy, it’s not trendy, or anything of the sort, but it’s a dive bar, so if you are looking for the diviest of dive bars, you just might have met your match. There is something to be said about a bar that has a full parking lot morning, noon, midday and night!

Insane amount of bar games? Low lighting? Cheap booze? Small Menu? Septuagenarian bartendress? Check yes to all of the above. Stadium Club is a dive bar extrordinaire of SD yesteryear that is still crankin after all these years. They are in the heart of the Mission Gorge/Fairmont Ave. business district, and a stone’s throw from SDSU and the Stadium. The beer here is served the coldest I have had in San Diego, which during our Indian Summers is a must. The have a limited menu which is what all dive bars should strive for: hot dog, hamburger, cheeseburger and pizza. They also have egg sandwiches of various types on the weekend. The burgers here are very good, and cooked fresh behind the bar. Served with an old fashioned relish tray and some grilled potatoes, it is one of the better burgers that you will have, all for only $ 4. There is a full bar and extensive selection of typical American macro brew on tap and in bottle, which is how I want my dive bars to be. They have a good jukebox and a ton of pool tables, which is a plus. If you go here for lunch like I do, it will be pretty sparse, with the old locals getting an early start to the night. On weekend nights they always have a good sized crowd, and it is a good place to start or end your evening. The bar is pretty locals intensive, but they are very welcoming to strangers. This bar is not so good that you should drive out of the way to go here, but if you are in the neighborhood, it is a must. Two people can have lunch with a few beers for under $ 20, just what you need in this economy. This is a very laid back, old school piece of SD history that is worth checking out.
