I’m basing this review on only two visits. First time was after-work beers with a couple of friends. The atmosphere was lively and the bartenders very attentive and friendly. Second time was last Friday for lunch with a friend. One of the daily specials(not on the menu) was a Polish dog with potato salad. The dog arrived smothered in grilled peppers and onions, perfectly cooked; the spud salad was exactly to my taste. My friend said he enjoyed his Longhorn Burger and Tots very much. Our server, Amanda, made sure everything was to our liking and checked back a few times. Excellent service.

Went for happy hour with a really large group. Prices were reasonable but the food was terrible. The waitress should have gotten help from her co workers to better serve our whole group. It took forever for me to order and get my mediocre food. The bathrooms were disgusting and I hate the fact that they are co Ed. Really not cool if you have kids dining with you. On the plus side they TVs to watch the game and a pull table.

I bring my family here all the time. Great burgers, solid drinks, service is always fantastic. A lot of televisions to watch games. All around, very solid. Check it out!

The burger was over cooked if the guy had cooked it the way I asked, very medium, it would have been perfect the nachos were overcooked also, the wait staff was really unfriendly too, at least the waitress, not the bartender. Little things

I would NOT recommend this place for food. Really gross breakfast. Great drinks tho!

I work nearby the plaza where Longhorn is and a friend of mine recommended them, so I decided that’s where today’s lunch will be at. I came in and was greeted by the staff, they are awesome. I ordered the California burger and was unsold on fries, which included their«guac shac» guacamole. I went in during lunch time and the staff was very attentive and checked up on me while I was waiting for my to-go order. Waited about 10 min, and had my burger, opened to see contents and the guacamole was missing. I’m the type where even if everything is excellent from the get go, I have to nit pick on something. The cook gave me a side order as I brought it to his attention, the burger was delicious though!

Another awesome Sunday patty melt special and it’s only $ 7.75! I love the fact they have a special everyday including $ 5 apps during the week so I can get my hot wing fix cheap.

If you live or work in Grantville you have to know about Longhorn. It’s a great place to pick up lunch to go, a burger, salad, nachos, tons of other great options. On those extra stressful days it’s a perfect stop to wait out traffic a bit as well. Recently I did that and really don’t know why I hadn’t started doing it sooner! They have a full bar and on this day I had a hankering for an old fashion. The lovely waitress recommended a certain kind of bourbon, Buffalo trace… it was excellent! I’d say skip the tacos but then again you all know this Mexi girl is particular about her tacos. Go here for a burger and a beer. Steak salad is a great option too, I love the chunks of blue cheese in the blue cheese dressing… swoooooon. So glad this place is close to Laura D’s home as we can always über to her house if we end up there on a Friday after work and realize we don’t work Saturday and partake more than usual. If you find yourself in the neighborhood do yourself a favor and stop in for a drink let me know I’ll meet you there ;) Just remember it’s your friendly local dive bar that supports local breweries as well!

Even though this place is technically a «bar» the food is pretty good. My kids love it here because there are old school pinball games and a pool table. There are interactive games you can play, from your table, along with the monitors which is fun too!

Great spot for great friendly service, cold pitcher of beer, decent burger, and EXCELLENT onion rings and fries! YUM! The John Wayne room is totally cool. I hate to share how much I love this place cuz I don’t ever want it to be to packed, but I’ve gotta say it’s a fav!

The Hubs and I were once again trying to decide where to grab dinner. We had exhausted the usual spots so I was in the mood to try something new. Longhorn Bar & Grill came up in my search and I thought it looked good. We sat at the bar and had wonderful service from the bartender. We told her it was our first time, so she introduced us to the manager. What a friendly staff! I’m pretty sure the bar was filled with regulars, so you know it’s good. My husband and I both ordered burgers and enjoyed them. The tap list left a little something to be desired. I would like to see more local beers and less Bud/shock top. They have a lot of TVs so we will most likely spend our football Sunday fundays here. Can’t wait to come back!

Let me start on saying that the service and bartenders make you feel welcomed. First time here and I’m already being called by name. Awesome. Now the drinks are average price but if they are serving«corned beef tacos» I highly recommend them. Wow!

So I just ordered the onion rings and … again… the buffalo wings. I liked these wings better than most but again… nothing spectacular. The onion rings were good but they were kind of overly battered kind of like how they do it when you get those frozen battered onion rings. Again nothing too exciting. Plus a star for good drinks and cheap prices and happy hours. It was full place with kids in a bar and its been around long enough that KIDSCANSITATTHEBARWTFHAHAH. Awesome. Plus my second nephew was born that day so… Plus another half a star. 4.25 stars. :P

My memory of Longhorn was actually better than it was. Service was very friendly but a bit slow. Not that it’s anyone’s fault; I think our server was stretched thin with a lot of tables to look after. More importantly, the burger simply wasn’t very good. It was WAY overcooked… hard and grey and dry. I can’t imagine returning.

Longhorn is the type of restaurant/bar that I normally wouldn’t give a second glance but my friend suggested having dinner here and I decided to give it a chance based on her positive opinion of it. Despite its somewhat rough exterior, it ended up winning me over with the friendly service and above-average food. My friend and I chose a booth near the back of the restaurant, which consists of booths along the right side and a long bar to the left. We quickly discovered that the booth height was not equal on both sides of the table and I, who am about six inches taller than my friend, sat on the high side. I felt a bit like a giant. :) But on to the important stuff: the food! I chose the grilled chicken sandwich with swiss and no onions and a side of tater tots. The sandwich was huge and I’m truly amazed that I was able to scarf it all down! The only thing that could have made it better was a better ranch, which I put on my sandwich and used as a dipping sauce for my tater tots, but was a little disappointed in. I’m very picky with my ranch though and this may just be a personal problem. :) The tater tots, however, were perfectly crispy! So lesson learned. Don’t judge a restaurant by its«cover» because you just might find some delicious food at affordable prices.

Oh boy! Love these old-timey places. The vibe and people watching are great. Beer at happy hour is priced right and served cheerfully. I think a private party in the John Wayne Room would be a riot!

This looks like a great neighborhood burger joint! The staff was nice as they were flying by in the busy dining/bar area. I tried the beef longhorn burger with bacon for $ 10. It was really huge and enough for a big dinner. I really liked the bun and the bacon. The beef, lettuce, and tomato were fine. This burger was much better than any fast food burger. It was not quite as good as a Hodad’s burger as I love how Hodad’s seasons and cooks their beef with the awesome smoky char but I would definitely come back if I was in the area. I also tried the fried zucchini slices for $ 7. They were fried in beer batter and were ok. I much prefer the fried zucchini at the Del Mar Fair though as light tempura batter goes much better with the zucchini. On my second visit I tried the bison burger. It has a stronger flavor and I prefer it to the beef longhorn burger here. Next time I’ll have to try it with bacon. I also tried the frings. They were the standard fries and onion rings you find at fast food places and were good.
