Starbucks

We stopped by here today to pick up the order from our app which we accidently placed with another location in RB (we initially wanted to order from this location).The barista here didn’t send me away to the other location but she went ahead and mixed the drinks for me with no charge because she didn’t want me to drive to the other location. She mixed my machiatto sooooo well. Thank you so much for the great service! Good drink, good service. I think they deserve 5 stars!

As far as Starbucks go, this one is great. The barista’s here are older, but really sweet. There is plenty of room to sit, and unlike pretty much every other Starbucks, the temperature is warmer than freezing and you can hear yourself think over the music. Now that the Haggen’s is closed down next door, there’s plenty of parking, and if you are looking for a quick bite, the italian restaurant at the end of the plaza makes some mean pasta. If you like Chess, join in a game with the men who come daily. They’re really nice and open to anyone who wants to play.

Horrible service ! the girl who took my order was rude and impatient !

This place always has my order right and when I place an order ahead of time, it’s done upon arrival. Not a lot of seating space but with the ability to get in and out easily, I’m a happy camper.

This location has the most boring baristas who lack creativity to try anything new or exciting outside of the plain old boring menu…
I miss creative baristas who can make something new every time.
Yup standing here writing this review of dissapointment.

Service has improved over the last few years. I will definitely give them credit for that. I just found it mildly disturbing to listen to a district manager coach the store manager right next to me as I was sitting at a table trying to enjoy my tea. The store manager was clearly nervous trying to say the right thing, and having me listen to it all was quite awkward. I would suggest that district manager take the conversation into a more private arena.

Have to say my favorite Starbucks in the United States. At times this location can be very busy but the staff keeps up and there is never a long wait. You see quit a few regulars there playing chess and I advise not playing for money due to the sharks in the water, those old guys are crafty. :) Min is the long standing master barista who could do his job with his eyes closed. All of the staff is friendly, Lou, Omeed, Joey, Debbie, ask for any by name they are all good!!!

Came in on a Sunday night, before they closed. Was in need of coffee for my long drive home. Barista’s were very pleasant although it was almost closing time. My girlfriend and I got the iced caramel machiatto and the iced caramel flan latte. Both had the perfect amount of sweetness, delicious! Both were made quickly and accurately. I’d definitely come back to this location, great service!

Being a partner, I’ve become addicted to coffee. With that said, I’ve been to a ton of Starbucks stores all over California.
And this has to be my favorite.
The baristas are friendly and kickin butt. The first day they weren’t busy but the second day we stood in a line that reached the door.
I’ve stood in lines shorter than this that took way longer.
They were speedy, friendly, and the most important part, the coffee was great.

Really nice staff, usually fast device. Super convenient and great outdoor seating. There’s chess boards and comfy chairs. I love the older folks that hang out there, just warms my heart (; I also appreciate the staff being patient with my high maintenance latte order, lol. They’re great!

Happened to be in Poway for work and ran across this little Starbucks and I say little because it was a tad on the tiny side.
This Starbucks is located and shares its parking lot with a large strip mall of stores including several restaurants and a Supermarket. I am not sure even during the busiest of times /​seasons this parking lot would never reach capacity.
I walked into this Starbucks and found the Sunday crowd starting to build. The staff & baristas did their best to keep the line moving as quickly as possible. I had several other patrons in front of me and before I knew it, it was my time to order.
My orders tend to be the same and I again went with a ‘San OB’ which consists of two chamomile tea bags, 2 inches of steamed soy, 1 packet of agave syrup and some cinnamon and the barista made it perfectly.
I can tell right away when the barista did not take the time to make my drink by simply taking off the lid and looked at the steamed soy. If there is no foam and just muddy water I know the barista simply does not care because in my opinion this would not be acceptable if they ordered the drink. With this order I took the top off and say a huge amount of steamed foamy soy floating on top and was stoked.
The drink itself tasted amazing.
This Starbucks has a small outdoor patio area for patrons. I found the inside of this Starbucks to be spotless including the bathrooms.
My only complaint about this Starbucks would be the area in which you wait for your drink to be ready is in the walking path of other patrons trying to squeeze through a tiny area.
Even with that being said the size of this location is not enough to keep me away. If and when I find myself in this area again I would without hesitation visit this location again.

Starbucks is Starbucks but this one is run really well. The employees are very friendly and they take care of you. One of the better run Starbucks.

I came here today and I like this location. It was my first time here and the workers were nice. I like the outdoor seating since it was a nice summery day. A great starbucks location to get your fix!

A line out the door! I visit three of these on a regular basis and this is the only one that can’t keep the line moving. Not enough staff taking orders.

Always a bit crowded because of the size of the location, but aside from the occasional yuppies commenting on everything, it’s a nice little spot.

The coffee was good, but the service from one of the barista’s pissed me off. Granted, we came in 15 minutes before closing so I’m sure they were ready to get outta there. But that’s no excuse for being rude. I asked the male barista who made our coffee which drink was which because my wife and I each got different drinks. He looked at me and said rudely,“Pick them up and turn them around.” Indicating that I’d be able to tell based on the writing on each cup. Then he said, «And if you couldn’t tell from that you’d know by the taste, right?» Wow… seriously? Was my question REALLY that offensive? This dude was a straight up dick. Never coming back here again.

Standard Starbucks, fast friendly service. Notable for me at this one, it is the closest Starbucks to Lake Poway before I go on a Mount Woodson Trail hike to Potato Chip Rock. Get your java here before you hike early morning!

This is the Starbucks right across the church. On Sundays they are very welcoming of church groups using their tables and having coffees while talking. They let you bring in outside foods as well. They are incredibly friendly staff. The place is packed on the weekends but during the week you can usually always find a seat!

I sat down with my coffee a couple hours before they closed, and one of the employees was frantically sweeping around me which i did not appreciate. To top it off she left her broom right in front of the condiment station while changing the trash bag (again, it was way before they had to close) and customers had to try and and go around the broom in order to get their milk, sugar etc.
This was definitely not the type of Starbucks experience i would have liked to have.

Nice SBUX located around the corner from where we stay frequently. It has a cute layout inside, and can be pretty full up in the mornings. Its very inviting; so much so that I had to wait 30 minutes to catch an empty seat inside…
Good wireless, friendly staff.
It’s cool to watch the older gentlemen playing Chess near the front entrance. They are having fun, and it adds to the ambiance of this particular store.
It’s definitely my go-​to SBUX in that area.
