Friendliest, nicest, Starbucks people ever. They also for the coolness factor down as well

Terrible customer service. One of the employees was beyond rude and had no sense of respect. Just because you’re having a bad day doesn’t give you the right to take it out on the customers. Fix your shit.

This place was busy today. I had just tried getting a rewards card through my app and was confused. The guy was so very helpful and registered my card on my app. He walked me through purchasing through my phone and everything. The only complaint was that it was so crowded and the set up does not work for crowded days. Besides that, awesome staff!

My wife wanted to do some shopping at Horton Plaza while we were visiting in San Diego. So while she shopped the shops i sat and enjoyed my Holiday Season Pumpkin latte and checked my email on the free wifi that they have. The service was very good and they moved people in and out quickly. It’s a great way to spend a few hours in peace and quiet

Sarah is always in a great mood … That makes it much easier after a hard days work and all you want is your grande double shoot!!! Makes it just right… Perfect balance. In fact the entire crew is awesome! I didn’t catch the other 2girls names but they are both rocking and knowledgeable of Starbucks cards and just it all. Great and I will be back!!!

This Starbucks is really dirty! I’ve been to many Starbucks as I am a gold member but this by far shows that their employees have no pride in their store, dirty floors, extremely dirty restroom, the only reason why I gave them 2 stars is because the drinks were prepared within a timely manner. But for a food/drinks business they definitely need a cleaner store!

After taking care of some pretty pressing legal matters and being in the area, Starbucks was a must. Yay for Happy Hour at the time(Frappy Hour! See what I did there???) So needless to say, this itty bitty shop was PACKED and I wouldn’t dock them stars for that, no way. But what will lose them some praise and prestige is being awkward in their setup. Where do I stand in line to order? Where do I stand to wait for my order? What do I do with my hands? There needs to be a system put in place or something because in times of heavy traffic, this Starbucks is sheer chaos. My Strawberries n Crème(veinte, like a diabetic baller) frapp was as it should be(i.e. good) and the staff was friendly despite the craziness surrounding them. OH and the turkey-pesto panini is bloody brilliant. Not usually a fan of SB foods, I’m all about the drinks, but I was hungry and the panini seemed appetizing; it was.

You should be concerned for your health if you stop here. Stopped in for a trenta passion tea and sat down at the bar to drink it. That was when I noticed the filthy conditions behind the counter. Rear counter has standing water, tea, syrups and coffee. What really concerned me beyond that was the container lid use to mix the drinks was being placed down on that countertop in the liquids. There were so many types of liquids it must have been there for quite some time. See photo…

Sheesh I guess I gotta write a review to bump up the average. This starbucks is great. I stop in almost every morning before work. The employees are always friendly despite the hundreds of grumpy business people demanding their upside down extra hot no foam frappuccino mocha latte venti with room coffee contraptions every morning. The line always goes quick, my drink has never been wrong, I’ve never met a grumpy employee, the store is clean and stalked, the half and half is never empty. Overall a great location for the morning rush. The lower-level starbucks tends to get a lot busier.

I’m not much to complain and I always try to put myself in the other people’s shoes but the service I received today was horrifying. I actually left the store crying. I ordered a venti ice-tea at the front counter and received a green tea. I told the lady that I was sorry and that I didn’t mean to order a green tea. She spoke back in a annoyed and short tone and said well what did you say you wanted up front. I explained that I said I wanted an ice-tea and the lady didn’t ask me to specify, I just assumed ice-tea would be black and I apologized once more. She told me that there are 3 tea flavors green, black and passion and I said yes, I know I’m sorry but, i don’t like green could I get black. She told me that I ordered it wrong and I said once more that I’m sorry and if I could get a black tea. She looked at me with a blank stare of annoyance and didn’t say anything back and just stood there. I then said alrighty, as I began to cry(was not having a good day) and said, well I guess I will just throw this away since I don’t like green tea. I looked back(the store was packed) and everyone had their mouths opened and I became extremely embarrassed and left the store. One lady even shouted as I was leaving the store, that this was ridiculous and that I deserved her to make me another tea. I left the store with my green tea and ended up giving it to a homeless person.

It cracks me up that there are two Starbucks in the Horton Plaza mall, and a third one one block south on Market and 4th Ave. Nothing too special about this one. Thank goodness for outdoor seating, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to sit. This location seems to always be busy. If you need a quick drink, yea this place is fine. but if you’re looking to camp out at a coffee shop, better try the Panera Bread on the North end of the mall.

White sugar packets were moist and sugar was clumpy. Picked up a Grande bold coffee of day in a venti cup, ham breakfast sandwich, glazed almond packet, & dried fruit packet. Went to prep station to make my coffee up & could not find the sugar. Asked the staff and a nice African-American Man showed me the sugar packets. They were down low on supply in the metal cup holding container in the prep station. I tear open 1 and nothing comes out. Try 3 more & they have been moistened somehow. I grab sugar in the raw packets and leave. I’ll mix my cup later. What a waste of time. This is why EFFICIENT Starbucks locations use sugar pourers at their prep stations. Customers don’t have time to fight with the packets if they are moist. The man was very nice to help me though. Good thing Im not a Starbucks Secret Shopper. Next time I will just go to Jamba Juice next door.

This is a nice little Starbucks that has a good amount of seats for relaxing and plenty of workers to keep the line moving. The staff that worked here seemed nice. Nothing about the atmosphere makes this a really nice or fancy Starbucks, but it is A-OK and I would come back here again.

My latte was fine, but the cashier was a bit rude to the customer in front of me. He tried to pay with a $ 50 bill, and was obviously a foreign tourist, but that doesn’t give you the right to be rude to him. The cashier refused to take the $ 50 bill as payment — not sure if that’s legal or not, but he just kept saying, «it’s too big of a bill.» The customer didn’t understand, but rather than trying to explain why, the cashier kept repeating«too big of a bill, too big.» So lame.

Went to Starbucks at Horton Plaza today to get some warm Tea because I was freezing. The employee’s here are very friendly and seem pretty cool. The front area outside is a total hang out and is pretty cool to sit and people watch.

This is friendly little Starbucks located in Horton Plaza. I ordered a morning bun and a chocolate chip croissant. The morning bun was very good. It had a great crunchy layer of cinnamon and sugar on the outside, and it was very moist in the center. To top it off, it tasted very good.( ) The chocolate chip croissant was good, but the chocolate chips were random. One bite you would get a mouthful of chips, and then you would get nothing. However, the croissant did taste good.( ) The service was very friendly and polite.

This is the best damn Starbucks in the city. Considering they serve thousands of business people from nearby buildings each day, they have a great attitude and always make things extra delicious. I’ve been here when I’m in dire need of a caffeine fix and all I’ve got is Starbucks giftcards. Otherwise I might opt for cheaper, but since these guys are so freaking nice I’d come here regardless.

It’s a Starbucks… for the sole purpose that there are 17,009 locations(fact) and that they are located in 50 countries, you can’t completey avoid these monsters… they reach out and grab you. It so happens that I land in a Starbucks by default once in awhile it’s usually while I’m crushing the earth into the truth… and most likely for the simple fact that they are everywhere… or fuck I don’t know? Over all Starbucks is way over priced… yet shockingly consistent… hence the 3 star A-OK rating… I don’t like Starbucks, but their coffee empire is pretty impressive. The service at this location… standard, good. I personally just like a real coffee shop… small batch roast… and more of a small shop feel.

I’ll keep this brief. The Starbucks Horton Plaza location earns one(happy) star for playing Elvis Costello tunes in the background. The other star is awarded for their convenient location(next door to Jamba Juice and CVS Pharmacy). For their sorry excuse for a Vanilla Latte — lukewarm, barely sweetened and tasteless — zero points(obviously). Customer service could use some improvement. The unsmiling barista who took my order appeared bored out of her skull. Happy Coffee Drinking.
