This place is closed. It took me really long time to get here, i wish they would mark it as closed do people don’t waste their time. Very frustrating.

This place is great. Simple menu and setup with awesome food and great fast service. The wraps are all delicious and are super cheap. Some of the best shwarma I’ve ever had. Fill up your gas tank with VP racing fuel and fill up your stomach with delicious food.

First of all: Only open Thursday — Sunday from about 12pm til they run out of food.(No fridge so they bring 2 skewers — one chicken and one beef) I’ve heard nothing but good things about this spot and couldn’t wait to try it out. Me and buddy were the first ones to order for the day and wow, was it fresh. They only have 3 options: Chicken, beef or falafel. They mentioned that the chicken was the most popular so I got that with all the toppings they offer.($ 7) They also will grill opinions if you ask them too. They offer a couple different sauces and a hot sauce(Tapatio). I thought the wrap in general was amazingly flavorful, my only suggestion would be to wrap it in a Laffa(huge pita bread) instead of the burrito type wrap it currently it. It was still amazing and seeing that I live a block away, I will be back.

This place was great! After hearing about this place and being a big fan of shawarma, I knew I had to come check them out. I was a little thrown off by the fact that they are just a tent on the side of a gas station, but do NOT let that fool you! The meat was cooked perfectly and all the toppings were great as well. Especially the garlic sauce they put in! The only reason behind my four star rating is because I was hoping the food would have been wrapped in a pita or even a laffa and not just a flour tortilla. Although it works if they are trying to achieve a little Mexican touch with their food. The guys running the shop were very friendly! They even had the World Cup championship game on for us to watch. I will be back for sure! Thanks for the great food and service!

Stumbled upon this little gem when I was visiting SD. Ordered the chicken shawerma and it was the BEST. The chicken was cooked so tenderly, marinated just right, and the garlic sauce is perfection. I’m super picky with my garlic sauce(the amount in my sandwich, the consistency, and the flavor) and Tahini got it just right. I asked for extra sauce just in case but I didn’t even need it. Also tried the beef gyro from a friend and it was huge, delicious, and extremely satisfying! Other perks: –It’s in such a great location too, right across the street from the beach. Perfect for a shawerma picnic. –Service is on point, they customize your sandwich just like you want it and are super friendly. Will definitely be coming back to Tahini next time in SD!

I was in the mood for something quick, healthy, filling and inexpensive. Being Italian, I love Mediterranean food and after a quick search on Unilocal,I came across this new option. All I can say is, what I set out for is exactly what I got! I ordered the Chicken Shawarma and Beef Gyro. It was made fresh to order, packed with ingredients and choice of sauces that are long time family recipes. You’ll be greeted by Osama and Mio who are friendly, enthusiastic and ready to serve up some deliciousness!

Loved Tahini. Loved the crew. Cool location. The shawarma sandwiches are on point! I was visiting SD from LA and saw this little place. I’ve been to all the shawarma joints in LA, so i know what a good sandwich tastes like. The guys made my shawarma real quick. The chicken tasted great, i tried to get them to tell me their recipe but they said its a secret. Its all good tho, next SD visit I’ll be back again.

I have looking for a good place for Arabic food. Being that I grew up around Lebanese home cooking from my mom friends I got the best of the best. Since I currently live in San Diego it’s hard to find good Arabic food. I found these guys by pure luck. And they almost hit a home run with me and that’s big ! They have so much potential ! I believe in their product ! They are in the right direction to make it big !

This is easily the best chicken shawerma sandwich you will get in So Cal! Chicken is juicy. Fresh ingredients. Garlic sauce is just right. And if you get it without lettuce, then it’s the most authentic IMO. Location is great if you’re heading to the beach and want to pick up some delicious wraps on your way.

Tahini is just awesome. I have deployed twice to Bahrain and the shawarma’s these guys make are way better. And bigger! The garlic sauce they make themselves and is perfect for the type of food. Fresh veggies and to be honest a very healthy meal that is worth the money. Go visit these awesome guys and try it if you are feeling something different!

Don’t let this tented up establishment next to a gas station pass you by. These guys sell the best shawerma in the world! Plus they have excellent customer service and they’ll make your order just right. Everything is on point with these guys.

The chicken shawerma here is amazing! I was craving some shawerma after a day at the ocean and it hit the spot. The chicken was wonderfully seasoned and tender. I’m also currently on a protein diet so they made me a salad, which is a great option for people limiting their carb intake. My friends got the sandwiches and loved it. The service was great as well. Planning on coming back soon!

I was driving through Ingraham St three weeks ago, and noticed a food stand with a long line. I was hungry and stopped to try it out. I tried the chicken shawerma wrap, and honestly, I was amazed. Probably one of the best in San Diego, if not the best. The chicken was juicy and marinated to perfection. I’m not a fan of garlic sauce, but after trying it with the sandwich, I’ve become a believer. I’ve been going on a weekly basis now, and definitely recommend the drive there! Heads up, they sell out pretty early, so try getting there early.

I’ve already had their sandwiches three times, so its about time I gave a review. Basically its the best dang shawarma I’ve had in America. I’ve had shawarma in the Middle East and these sandwiches bring me back to the streets of Egypt. Authentic taste is hard to find — so I’ve been lucky to have had real shawarma(the kind you miss and crave) and Tahini is as good as it gets! The meat is spiced + juicy, garlic sauce is JUST right, balanced taste. Oh and one of the owners of the stand is a Harvard law student who makes and sells sandwiches — very down to earth and friendly! The lines when they’re at the gas station speak for themselves — people have had them about two, three or four times already. 5 stars well deserved!

Let me start this review by saying damn that Garlic sauce is amazing!!! To be honest at first I was hesitant to try sandwiches from people selling on the side of a gas station(turns out they do farmers markets during the week and have a deal with the owner of the gas station to set up there on the weekends) but I am addicted now I have been there two weeks straight. The chicken is very tender and flavorful and the tortilla is a nice touch compared to the pita bread that many places use. The two guys that work there are also very friendly and will customize your sandwich to your liking. I will definitely be coming back!
