I finally got to attend one of these shows last night! There is a ton of amazing talent that they are able to squeeze onto a little stage. The show I attended included magicians, contests, acts, a little satire, and some unique acts like a zombie burlesque show. The staff is friendly, artwork is great and basically if you’re looking for something a little different and still appreciate performing arts, this is the place to be! Minus the three bros who couldn’t handle their beer and keep their hands off each other while yelling at pretty much everyone on stage, it was a great experience. If they could give performers microphones it would definitely help. Looking forward to the next one!

I have been enjoying the Technomania Circus for over 15 years. It is San Diego’s best live show that continues to change themes. There are an endless variation on shows that the Technomania Circus has performed. The best thing you can do is like them on facebook and go to a show that has a theme that you are interested in. I won’t go in to details, but think of it this way, where else in San Diego can you get a live $ 10.00 show? That says it all.

I’ve been to three shows and saw it turn from a great show to a straight up rip off. The Original Clown, the old one, whatever his name is, the guy that used to run it. Played the cello, he was the real talent behind TMC. Then he left, and everything started going downhill from there. The last show I went to was the Beer Show– half the people left within the first 15 min. It was sooooooooooooo horrible and lacked real talent. Plus, they had UBER-ANNOYING people on stage. Like that fat guy that looks like The Penguin– no talent. no talent.

I’m a fan and I’m not really sure why. Really. My daughter and I exited at the end of the show somewhat bewildered, more than a little horrified, fascinated at their complete commitment to what can only be described as semi-focused insanity and smiling. Definitely smiling. On the way home, we kept shaking our heads, laughing at the craziness of it all and… to my surprise… we kept smiling. What exactly did we see??? I don’t know!!! BUT, I kind of felt the way I did after watching«Pulp Fiction» — somewhat dazed and positive we’d be talking about this show for a really, really long time. And, that’s exactly what we did when we got home and we haven’t laughed that hard in a really, really long time. The look on my wife and eldest daughter’s face as we described what we’d seen was priceless. They still think we made it all up on the way home. No one would ever do that on stage!!! in short, this is NOT theater for everyone. It’s more like those crazy, semi-rehearsed skits you saw around the campfire as a kid with a boatload of goofy friends. Entertainment done on a dare, but good times. And… I’m really intrigued to see what they come up with next.

Caution: One must be a kid at heart or be under some kind of influence to fully enjoy the show. Unfortunately, I went after a week of hectic work and was definitely not feeling like watching a show aimed for a younger audience. By young, I mean 3 – 10 year olds. They definitely can do a better job changing up their jokes for the appropriate age group(18+) for the 9pm show.

What was that? Feeling very led astray by Unilocal. Was expecting a silly, fun, campy evening of entertainment. Instead got 3 middle aged adults running around the audience with halloween masks and lazer guns. We can’t get those 90 mins back. Ever.

Zombie technocircus… THENAME in no way gives you any idea of the zany, fun, and all together goofy time you will experience. This really is Barrio Logan’s best kept secret. i can guarantee you will not find this much talent, showmanship and mastery of wit anywhere else let alone a laughing good time for $ 10.THEY’VEGOTTALENT! interaction with the audience and the fact you are invited to bring refreshments if you want loved by everyone. I’M GOINGBACK! you game? let’s go…

This place is cool and unique. I love theater and the circus, but this definitely isn’t your typical circus /theater. The show is presented in the back of someone’s house in Logan Heights. If that scares you then we are in the same club, but it truly is easy to get to and in a safe area. It’s a great«raw» style of theater that is more like a variety show. They have a touch of everything. They love pyro and black light effects, they’ll sing and do acrobatic tricks. It’s definitely an experience. Another big plus is that the crowds are great. Everyone gets into it and everyone has a good time. Overall if you want something unique and original, and manufactured by real people who love what they do then check it out!

Just went to the Zombie Show last night, it being their«dress rehearsal» there were some hicups, but the cast rolled with the punches and everyone had a great time! 1. Location-easy to get to. Older neighbor hood but nothing scary 2. Venue-Back yard. Comfy theater-like seating(waaaaaayyyyy better than the bleacher seats they use to rocked last year). Extra bonus. BYOB-and theres a liquor store around the corner! If you over indulge, which happenes, in my case a bit too often. There is a trolly station right in front. 3. Performence-FUN! They encourage audience participation(little bit of liqud courage and youll be up dancing qwith zomies in no time) There has been some turn over in the actual performers, so some of the bits are not as polished, but we still have a wonderful time and i will continue to support Dr Tecno and his crew !

If you’ve ever wanted to experience the film Alice’s Restaurant up close & personal, just come for an evening at this circus… There is one word that comes to mind to accurately describe this troupe. Random. I had a wonderful evening! The sloppy flow added to the charm — Fire breathing, balancing, juggling, juggling while balancing, shadow puppets, black light acts & puppetry. The theme changes each month. There’s a real underground scene going on here! BYOB(Booze), dress warmly as it gets chilly and you have no idea how long the show will be. Expect to be surprised, laugh, and mostly, the unexpected. This would be an excellent(and cheap) date night.

Ben(my husband) and Brian(our buddy) were skeptical. «A what in Logan Heights?» Me: «A circus in Logan Heights. For real, I saw it on Unilocal.» «Logan Heights? Are you sure? We’ll get stabbed there.» Me: «I called and saw their website, it’s legit!» So last night, my husband and I together with our friends Brian and Felcia head on over to Logan Heights. «Wow, there are hybrid cars parked in Logan Heights! We must be close to the venue.» Technomania Circus is probably the most absurd, entertaining, silly, funny show I have ever seen in my entire life. Best of all it’s BYOB! The crowd is very welcoming, the cast talented and hilarious. The venue? OMG, words cannot describe the kitsch. I can only imagine what their Mexican working-class neighbors say about this circus. They probably call their relatives in Mexico and say«Hey you know the silly sh*t your kids do? Here in California, they pay to watch that!»

We love these guys! For $ 8– to $ 10– bucks this is some sweet entertainment for a couple on a budget. Every month is a different theme and they pack in the acts. You can bring your own beverages and cuddle up with a blanket. There is absolutely no reason you shouldn’t check this out!

I went to the zombie circus over the weekend and I was thoroughly impressed and entertained. It was so different from anything else I’ve done in San Diego! The acrobatics, performance, music, everything was so zombie-riffic my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing by the end of the night. It’s definitely home-spun which makes it even more fun. I don’t know how their other performances are, but we should have arrived earlier because it was standing-room only when we got there. Random facts: Yes, it is bleacher /stadium style movie seats in someone’s backyard. The sound is great and the seats are comfy and covered. There are clean bathrooms — actually the bathroom is SO freaking cool you could entertain yourself for a good ½ hour in there. Parking is easy. It’s BYOB and there is recycling :) It was $ 10 at the door. There was juggling, fire, flips, crazy bends and lifts, audience participation, a shadow-puppet show, game shows and even a zombie wedding(which made me just about crap my pants with excitement being that I LOVE zombies and I am getting married soon!) at the end of the night. I can’t stress enough how fun this was! Be sure to check them out if you get a chance.

Friends of mine, so I’m biased. I’ve been an audience participant for many years; love their performances in the desert, am overdue for another visit to the«Center for Amusing Arts». Still haven’t had to ask Dr. Techno to clean my house.

*Random house in Barrio Logan with bleacher seating for 100 in the backyard? Check! *Man in a gorilla suit playing on a phone pole? Check! *Sexy fire dancing ladies? Check! *Atlas, the Strongest Man Alive staple-gunning money to his bare chest? Check! *Creepy bathroom filled with clowns, random vials of liquid, and dolls everywhere? Check! We brought our own alcohol, and had a ghetto fabulous time. Hurray for the Technomania Circus, will definitely go back in July.

Bearded ladies and sword swallowing burlesque tour! If you like the not-so-average kind of night, check out their dates of performance, and then expect the unexpected(topless but with pasties) It’s all fun and tasteful, GO!
