I went here to get some sobering food, with my gal friends… we were not greeted, once we stood there for a while, finally got acknowledged by a young lady, got seated and waited nearly an hour before leaving!!! Where is the good service at these days??? This place is smack dab downtown… they should hire people who can deal with the rush of Saturday night, and not be unhappy about it!!! –just saying!

It was my first time trying TGIF after hearing all the hype from my husband, and on a final note that will def be my last. Food was good but the service was poorer then poor. Our server had a horrible attitude and she didn’t even smile once nor seemed friendly at all, her presentation was monotone and lifeless. I think that was by far the worst service I have ever received in my life and my in-laws from France were visiting. So embarrassed to have taken them their. We all were happy to leave and get out. What a shame.

Not a good restaurant. Food is less than average. Doesn’t taste good food. I will never eat there again. They should bring more quality in their products. I felt so shitty after eating there.

I loved this place when I was a kid. T.G.I. Friday’s has the most delicious food. This makes me want to go to heaven. I am so proud of this place. What a thrill and an honor to have eaten here.

I had a horrible experience. We sat down at 6:20 and didn’t get our food until 7:10… And we only orders appetizers. That part is forgivable because they could have been understaffed, who knows. The worst part is that my buffalo wings weren’t cooked all the way. I bit into one and it was still raw in the middle. We asked the manager, Louis, to come over so we could let him know that the cooks weren’t cooking the chicken all the way and all he said was, well was everything else cooked? And we said, we hope! Since we already ate it all. And then he left. No apology, didn’t say he would watch more carefully or anything. And on top of it we had to pay for the undercooked chicken wings.

The absolute worst Fridays I’ve ever had the displeasure of visiting. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy or even full so why the wait? I’m not sure but we just went with the flow. We were greeted by our server who took our drink order and then disappeared for 20 minutes. No one stopped to check if we had been helped as we were a table of 5 with no drinks, menus closed with bewildered looks of what the heck is going on here. We finally stopped one of the other servers to see if she could help. She disappeared around the corner and within a few minutes emerged with our drink order. Great! She said our server was«tied up in something.» Whatever that means. He then rounded the corner and asked if we were ready to order. Of course, we were, as we’d been sitting for at least a half hour by this point. The entire exchange was awkward with our server from this point out and I’m not sure why he wouldn’t just transfer our table to the server who had brought our drink order. Again, trying to go with the flow we put in our order and played the waiting game again. Right before we had to wonder if our server had gone Mia again, he surfaced with our food. Yay! He dropped it off and that was the last time we saw him until he brought our check. No, «how’s everything tasting?» No refilling drinks. Nothing. Service was certainly a zero. Food was lacking in all aspects. Of course, it’s regular Friday’s food but you could tell there was not very much care in preparation. Another point of concern is cleanliness. Our table was sticky even after we watched the hostess wipe it down. And the women’s restroom, my goodness. It was worse than a gas station. Toilets leaking. The pipe attaching the toilet to the wall was lose. The toilet itself was not bolted correctly to the floor. While I did not have an infant, the baby changing table looked like it had an inch of dirt and grime. You’d be better off changing the kid of the floor. Just the entire experience was very displeasing. You’d think that a restaurant in the Gas Lamp area would have decent service and better upkeep but you’d be wrong in this case. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

My evening started out great with my server Jessica being attentive and professional. It’s December the only month that its cold in San Diego and they have the door open. I spoke with the manager Luis who was totally un-accommodating to us when we did bring it to his attention. Instead of keeping us there we quickly wanted to leave. Our food got cold quickly and there was no explanation to why the door had to remain open. We later learned that the door has to stay open to entice customers that never came in. I’m highly disappointed with my experience mainly b/c of the manager unwilling to accommodate to the customers needs. Why would I want to come to a restaurant to be cold !!! I will never recommend this Friday’s to anyone.

Flat Iron Steak $ 16.95 with Buy One Get One Free Coupon. Not a bad deal! Took half my plate home. Steak was pretty thick.

Chipotle Yucatan Chicken Salad This salad is very light. Comes with lettuce(iceberg I believe it was), diced tomatoes, avocados, tortilla chips, sour cream(which is not advertised), pulled chicken with a chipotle dressing??? It wasn’t very chipotle-esq. it could have used more spice. Overall it was good especially since I was looking for something very light to eat. Waiter was attentive and extremely nice so that makes the experience even better.

This place genuinely sucks. The food isn’t good, the servers aren’t friendly or reliable and the place is always a mess. Phillip the server never refilled our drinks in the hour we were there and my entire family over heard him loudly complain that the 20% tip I left wasn’t enough. The workers here are so unprofessional I’d recommend against anyone bringing themselves or their loved ones around such toxic characters. Avoid this place at all costs, it’ll only ruin your mood, rob you of your money & leave you with low quality food in your stomach. Gross.

dirty dive dive dive… if you want the worst service in downtown San Diego than… come to Fridays there’s nobody to seat you, and then the only seating they have left at 7:30 at night is pretty much in the bar, i sat at a table with dirty glasses on it for about 15 minutes asked, 3 different people if they could clean it and if I could order, nobody seemed to be interested… I’m enclosing the pictures of this extremely poorly run restaurant

Here we are in the middle of 100 amazing restaurants in the gaslamp district and my teen daughter wanted to try Fridays. First, the bathroom was DISGUSTING. The floor was all wet(I was wearing sandals) there were ants crawling into the sink and garbage everywhere. The service was fine. Nothing special, but no problems either. We ordered some appetizers and drinks. I have a drink once or twice a month, I am a super light weight, I don’t usually even finish one drink because I’m woozy halfway through but I finished my drink and never felt a thing and didn’t taste the alcohol. The appetizers were super greasy, the 3 of us ate about half of the sampler. I didn’t feel good after.

In love with the location, but not with the drinks. Very watered down margaritas which tasted like someone spilled salt on the bottom trying to place It on the rim. Asked for another one and it tasted the same. Maybe that’s how they make them? So after dealing with the second salty margarita I was sure I was going to develop high blood pressure so I quit while I was ahead. All my gal pal’s had the same issue as well. Talked to our waitress about it and she was nice about it but not very helpful.

Love TGI Friday’s and this is one of the best ones I’ve been to. We came to San Diego for my sister’s wedding on Saturday night. We came to Friday’s on Sunday night at around 11PM. It was in the middle of The Gaslamp District which was quite amazing coming from a small town of Big Bear, CA. It wasn’t too packed so we found a table quick. Our waiter was awesome. He memorized our whole order. He checked up on us constantly. We got a Mai Thai, my boyfriend got a Sirloin Steak, I got a Half Rack of Ribs and we shared a side salad and French Fries. It was all for $ 40 with a tip included! Our food and drink came out very fast. Definitely a wonderful dinner and very reasonable price. We will absolutely come back when we come to San Diego again.

Both times I’ve dropped in here, I was with a small group wandering around looking for a quick bite and a drink. It happened to be HH both times! Lucky us! ½ price appetizers(with the exception of seafood and platters) and drink discounts. It wasn’t busy either time, service was okay. We didn’t wait long for our food. Our server Sally was very pleasant & wasn’t bothered when we asked for separate checks. My only complaint about this visit was no paper towels in the restroom. I walked out at the same time as my son and asked him to go back in and grab a towel for me, but none in the men’s room either.

TGI Fridays is one of my favorite chain restaurants. I haven’t ever had a bad experience. I wish I remembered the name of the server that was working when we came in. i wish i remembered the day we came in. it was an afternoon around lunch time, i can’t believe i even found parking right outside! the man serving us was training another girl it looked like, but he was so attentive. offering suggestions and explanations while still showing the new girl the ropes. he was immediate with refills and asking if we wanted another margarita(YESOFCOURSEALWAYS). he also took the time to clear up the ridiculous amount of confusion we had over the happy hour pricing. who knew would prefer this location!

The food was pretty good! I got the Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta and they gave me plentiful, It was like, 3 days of leftovers. The only problem was that it felt kind of dirty walking in. It was downtown and it was almost 2 am on a Saturday night so I really don’t blame them, it’s the people who come in drunk and sloppy. I saw a couple people knocked out drunk at some tables and it looked really bad. But a manager went and kicked them out in the most nicest way possible. The server was really nice and the food came out fast! Very efficient!

We walked in sat ourselves and had good service from our busy waitress. Happy Hour pricing was a plus. We had wings half Jack Daniels and buffalo. JD sauce is the best. Blackened chicken pasta, spinach chz dip, and sesame chix strips. I was too full to order The Fridays Sunday but I’ll be back.

Four stars to the server who has what seems like 22 tables, you are a rockstar. Definitely not your standard tgi Fridays. Also the manager did a great job of making us feel welcome. Beard games on point bro!
