Tony’s Picture Framing

I have worked with Tony’s for many years and we have done amazing things spanning my career with several interior design firms in San Diego. Now that I design on my own, I hope they’ll have me tomorrow for my wonderful new client in Carlsbad. I know I can count on them in all areas that are art related.

Tony’s Picture Framing is definitely a hidden gem here in San Diego. My office put together a last minute farewell photo gift for an employee and we needed this picture matted and framed professionally. Of course we thought of Aaron Brothers but I decided to go with a small business that had great reviews and I am so happy that I did. Not only did they do an FANTASTIC job but they also did it SAME DAY service and I didn’t have to give them my lung, kidney and left arm as payment. They were affordable and the quality is simply out of this world.
I could not possibly say enough positive things about your shop, customer service and overall work quality. You guys definitely deserve 10 stars… unfortunately, we have to settle for 5. Keep up the fantastic work and I will keep referring clients your way!

This place truly is a hidden jewel here in San Diego for all of your framing needs. I didn’t even know it was possible to have that many framing options out there but Tony really does have it all.
I am by no means an expert in framing anything, but with Tony’s 30+ years experience in framing he quickly was able to present some options to me based on color scheme, my tastes, and budget. This made the process that much easier where I could sit back and say yes or no to the options for matting and frame selection. If you know your stuff, then I am sure you will be in heaven!
My biggest plus/​6^th star would be the pricing. I called Aaron Bros. for an estimate and I was absolutely stunned with how over-​inflated their prices were for a basic frame, not even including matting! Their price was more than double than what Tony quoted me at for a straightforward picture. Aaron bros. wanted more than $ 40 just for the matting, and then they had the nerve to ask me if I wanted them to put the picture in the frame for another $ 50, what a joke! Never again will I make that mistake.
Tony’s is a wholesaler so for us we are already getting a wholesale deal on frame pricing, then with the matting, glass, etc… it just kept getting better. I wish more people knew Tony’s was out there because I know they would never go anywhere else again for their framing needs. Definitely check them out and you won’t be disappointed, I just wish I had more stuff to frame!

these guys need a sixth star. i have a couple of fine art pieces that i needed some work done to; i had a large piece where a corner of the frame was separating, and another antique piece that had a very detailed frame within a frame, window-​box arrangement. the glass had cracked on that one, and i needed to have it replaced with high-​end plexiglass. i took the pieces to another shop that got very nervous when they started looking at the pieces, telling me it was going to be a day per piece, and i could tell i was talking with the wrong guy. i went back to the owner and she told me about tony, so i left there and took the pieces to him. his reaction was more oh yeah, no problem, $ 80 for both, and i’ll have them done in a day or two. that was yesterday. first thing this morning he calls me to tell me they’re done, and the bill is $ 80. they even loaded them for me, and gave me information on cleaning, shipping, etc, if you need framing work done, tony is the only place to look. i saw that his business card said that they’re the best kept secret in san diego. yeah, howdy.
