Excellent food. Nice people. Casual atmosphere, nice clean seating inside or out. I love Machaca. I got a machaca burrito enchilada style with green sauce. Ill post the picture. Superb. cant say enough good about it. Very large. Could not eat it all. Sitting outside on another perfect day in PB, with a great burrito. You just cant be stressed.

This place has great food, it came pretty quick, good value, clean place, pleasant staff. This was afternoon; night shift could be different. Well worth a try! Ordered Cali burrito and buffalo chicken quesadilla, expecting to eat most of both. They were both huge! Ate the whole quesadilla that came with a heaping serving of fresh guac and salsa and then gave up, saving the burrito for later.

Hands down the most dependable and actually good 24 hour Mexican spot in PB. Leagues better than Rigoberto’s. Their breakfast burritos, carne asada burrito, and carne asada quesadilla are all yummy. Nice staff, generous with the extra sauces, and they even threw in some free spicy pickled carrots last time.

I kid you not their California burrito is one of my favorite burritos in San Diego. I have my burrito joints that I regularly eat at, so I wanted to try somewhere new in Pacific Beach. My two friends and I came here one night, and we all were impressed with their Cali’s. Vallarta Express on Garnet appears to be like any other taco shop, but this is definitely one of the better ones. The burrito was huge, had delicious meat, and their salsa is fantastic. All three of us were still talking about it days later — HAHA embarrassing, but true. Try Vallarta Express if you’re looking for a cheap California burrito!

Food is pretty good but the last four time I have gone through the drive through they have screwed up an order. Leaving stuff out of my burrito or forgetting an item entirely. Would not usually leave a negative review but this has happened way to many times. The cooks need to pay attention to the orders better.

I heard some friends saying they have a good Mexican food and I went there to try the typical California burrito. Didn’t need to add sour cream and avocado Really good price and the burrito was Huuuge and tasty ;D

Good drive thru Mexican restaurant in pb. I know everyone is all about the carne Asada fries or Cali burritos, but I love the crispy chicken tacos.

Pretty damn satisfying. Tastes good, decent prices compared to all the other Mexican places. I’ve weighed my carne asada fries the last 4 times I’ve ordered it… Because it’s always really heavy. Solid 3 pounds of food. Surf and turf burrito is good and the chips and salsa is a must. Only a dollar! Comes with more than enough chips and salsa.

Drive from UTC la Jolla this is better than the Clariemont location. Food is always hot. I love that it’s right next to my work. you can even call ahead and preorder so it’s ready

As far as taste, this place is between a 4&5. I love the huevo rancheros burrito, shrimp taco, chile relleno, and more. I have to take away stars for service though. They are careless. They always give between 10 – 15 salsas in the drive thru(at night). It’s a complete waste for one or two plates. I don’t like wasting food so it bothers me. Last night though, they placed the salsas at the bottom of the bag and the food on top. I live 2 blocks away from there and in one right turn, the bag flipped and made a mess all over my car. Now I have to have to waste time and money to shampoo the passenger seat so my car doesn’t smell like beans

My Pollo asado burrito was Luke warm and the chicken was very tough and chewy. The xtra cheese I ordered was unmelted and the tortilla had not been warmed up. I also ordered a side of beans and was surprised to find that they were also lukewarm and had the consistency of watery oatmeal. To top it off, I spent over $ 8! Will not be coming back.

Really good food especially if you have drunchies. Pedro is a dream. Such amazing service. He was amazing. Try to see when he’s working because he’s amazing hands down some of the best arrive I’ve ever gotten was from him. Attentive and bends over backwards for you. Recommend completely.

Tonight was my second time here, I got the super fries and the quesaburrito and both were very good. the ingredients tasted fresh which was great. tonight my girlfriend and I did the drive through and the service was somewhat slow. the woman who took our order and brought the food out, however, was incredibly generous and thoughtful in consideration of our time. the only recommendation I would have is for management to staff for for nights like this where the inside was packed!

I enjoyed a very good off the menu breakfast burrito from this newly located Mexican eatery in Pacific Beach. I asked them to make me a scramble a la Mexicana with added ham and no cheese. The burrito came with scrambled eggs, ham, tomatoes, onions, and green peppers. The burrito cost $ 5.25. The eggs of the burrito were very well scramble to a fluffy consistency. I like that they lightly seasoned them and put a good ratio of tomatoes, onions, and peppers, all which were freshly chopped. The ham was tender and savory and there was a decent amount of it. It would of been nice if came with a little more ham. The burrito was of average to large size and came wrapped in a good warm flour tortilla. I was only given one of their hot sauce and the salsa bar was not yet set up early in the morning when I stopped in. The house hot sauce I did try was quite good. It had a good tomato and chili pepper flavor and packed a good medium heat as well. Service was very good and this place sports a drive thru and is opened 24 hours.

Affordable, open 24hours and quality food. Came here for late night drunk food and it was exactly what we wanted. I got the chicken fajitas burrito on special with a drink for 6 bucks. Only an extra dollar for chips and a great salsa bar as well. I hope this place stays around for a while

4 stars because Vallartas is great but this location still has plenty of tuning and improvement to match the original location(genesee&balboa). I like that they have a salsa available in addition to the red and green sauce

Was so excited to see this place go in but my first experience was disappointing. Ordered the Buffalo quesadilla. It would have been great but there was zero Buffalo sauce on the chicken, none inside the tortilla and none on top. The result was a boring quesadilla with deep fried chicken(over done, tough n chewy). Not sure I’ll go back to try another menu item, probably best to stick with MXN/Santanas.

This is my absolute favorite taco shop! Being a PB resident, I would drive to their Clairemont location when I was carving some taco shop. Couldn’t be happier they are finally in PB!!! As there aren’t too many(that are also drive through and open 24hrs) that are this good, in my opinion.
