My first time shopping at Stein Mart will be the last time. The customer service was rude. The general manager was unprofessional. I injured myself in the store. I was bribed with a pair of jeans. I did not accept the jeans. I would rather not shop at Stein Mart. A total thumbs down. The general manager Rochelle Fukuchi was no example to follow she offered me a pair of jeans for my injury I said no thank you. I do not recommend Stein Mart for anything.

Please check you receipts! This Stein Mart location is charging people twice for the same transaction. Not only are they charging double, they wait for 30 days and then re-bill for the same purchase.

Horrible customer service! I was waiting in line and the lady completely ignored me then told me that I had to wait because these ladies walked behind me and she took them before me. A gentleman did help me right away which I appreciated. But now it makes sense why they are always so empty. I’ll stick to TJ Maxx or Marshalls.

I’m a teacher and my job requires me to dress to impress. Stein Mart has a better selection of work clothes than I have seen anywhere else including Ross and Marshalls. Everything is high quality and well made unlike at those stores and yet, prices are about the same. You can sign up for free to be a preferred customer and be alerted of special discounts. I love how friendly and helpful the staff is. I feel like I do a better job at work when I look good, so I’m really thankful for Stein Mart! Check out their accessories too :)

I love Stein Mart these days. Brand names for discount prices. I used to hate it and felt like the clothes were too«old lady.» Well, I am not sure if the clothes have gotten better there, or I am just getter old, but I always find good stuff now since Ross has just become a waste of time. They carry Studio Max which I have always loved. I love the roomy dressing rooms with real doors and locks two hooks and one long towel bar to hang to hang and organize all your items. Plus a chair to put your purse and own belongings. There are always plenty of workers milling about and they are always very friendly and upbeat. Thing I do hate is that the shoes seem to only be size 6 and up. I wear size 5 ½, so its pretty annoying, but I do manage to find some shoes that actually fit me even though they are size 6. If you sign up for email, they send you tons of coupons that give you up 20−30% off sale items, and once in a while a regular priced items. Great selection of kitchen and home goods, luggage, and lingerie also.

Came by here for the 1st time with my mom and was sadly disappointed with the selection of clothing and pricing. This place is like Kohl’s, Marshall’s, etc but the prices are definitely higher. I thought from their TV commercials that I would find some deep discounts, but I was sadly mistaken. The items that were 40% off in their clearance section was still pretty pricey, so it was no wonder that there were not that many people shopping when we came(on a Thursday evening). I will most likely not come back to this store. By the way, this Stein Mart is located in the same plaza as Ross & Target and there is plenty of parking.

Don’t go without your coupon!(They are in the newspaper on certain days) I was formulating a negative review in my head when I saw the 40% off Red Dot coupon in the paper a few days ago. I had just spent over 100.00 the previous day on some items for my wardrobe, many of them were Red Dot clearance items. I had asked the saleslady if she had a coupon, or if there was one somewhere. She said if I was a member, I could garner a discount. I asked if I could sign up again, I knew at one time I was a member, but I guess it expired? She tried to look up a couple of phone numbers but it didn’t work. Then she said I had to fill out the application at home and she couldn’t give me a discount on this transaction. This slightly bristled me, because at Kohl’s, they always have an extra«scratch-it» ticket for you to use. The thing that made me upset was certainly the sales lady must have known a coupon came out the next day? When I got home, I noticed my receipt wasn’t in the bag like she said it would be. Hmmm. I inspected my purchases and decided, No, I didn’t need a pair of green-colored jeans, not did I need a peasant blouse that made me look like I lived in a 19th century Puebla. Another blouse I did not try on at the store was too tight. One T-Shirt I liked. I decided to return the rest. I stressed the whole way there, thinking they would give me problems because I didn’t have the receipt. I kept imagining my response when they asked me for the receipt. I imagined they would tell me I couldn’t return the items, or that I would have to accept merchandise credit or exchange only. I imagined me getting angry. Well, happy to report, I was Wrong. The young man at the counter helpfully looked up my transaction, no trouble at all. There was a small snafu when he said,” Oh so you kept 2 items?” which I did not. He recounted the items and found the mistake. He credited the amount to my card. All in all, Stein Mart is mainly for those of us on the wrong side of 40 looking for bright colors and work clothes. There’s not much truly casual stuff. A lot of the clothing is very loud: prints, stripes, animal. Not my cuppa usually. The sales are great, though, but the coupon is needed because you get an extra 40% the clearance price. I like their purses and accessories, and hubs likes their«rich guy» clothes.(Think: Caddyshack) Check it out.

Reminds me of an overpriced Kohl’s with worse prices(and no sales, coupons) and only featuring adult clothing and shoes, accessories, and small home décor items. Also some random packaged gift food items(ex — chocolates, seasonal snacks) at the front? Staff always seem snotty, check out is slow(although nice touch of having a candy dish out while you’re waiting in line), mainly for upper middle class older Caucasian women.
