My fave place at the food court. Love the short rib soup and love their bbq short ribs. It’s tender and the marinade is great. Their side dishes are also delicious. Tastes much better than the ones they sell inside the market. I usually call in for take out and they give a good amount of sides for take out.

My friend and i ordered their(fish roe stew), and(short-rib stew). Both were very good. The broth was delicious for both, and the portions were generous. Even the side dishes were tasty and well prepared. both the lady and gentleman that works there were very nice, and provided excellent service. The woman was also very patient with my friend(not Korean), and spoke to her in English and gave her recommendations on what to order. I can’t think of any reason why this restaurant doesn’t deserve 5 stars.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet because it’s where I frequently eat the Galleria food court. Probably because I didn’t know what the restaurant was called(other than ‘since 1948′ near the sign) until now. The couple that work at this joint are very sweet. They’re always friendly and know my tastes(and try to recommend other dishes for me) and what my family prefer. I usually order bbq ribs, short rib stew, or hot stone bibimbap. I love their hot stone bibimbap(sautéed vegetables, beef and egg atop a bowl of rice heated by a stone bowl) than the one served at Seoul Tofu House at the food court since it has more flavor, but I wish it had a bit more meat to it. Sadly the side dishes cannot last as 1 or 2 day leftovers. In my experience, I have to eat them(esp the potato salad) right away because it’ll just be food for my garbage can. They also serve dumplings and sushi as well but I haven’t tried that yet.

My second foray into the Food Court at the Galleria Market, and the best I have tried so far. I tried the Kim Chi Rice with Beef, and it was just awesome. Great flavor, and I love the crispy rice created by the hot bowl. And I love all the banchan(side dishes), Kim Chi, Pickles veggies, cold noodles, a sweet potato salad(not my favorite) and some miso soup. And for about $ 8. Wow, this was great, and not only will I try it again, I will have try other stuff there, delicious!

Had their Mul Naeng Myun. I liked the broth. It wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet or sour. The seasoning was on point for naeng myun. But it didn’t have too much of depth though. It seemed like taste ends on the surface. Felt somewhat artificially gourmet, mimicking quality naeng myuns you’d see in Seoul. But all in all, it was alright broth. I didn’t like the noodles though. It felt like zero buckwheat content. Way too tough for you to chew on your own. You need scissors to cut them to eat. If it had some buckwheat content, it wouldn’t be this tough. Just plain chewiness and some tough curvy texture. I bet they used potato starch a lot to make it this chewy. This type of noodles would work in bibim naeng myun where the spicy sauce overwhelms everything anyway. But for mul naeng myun, you’d better use buckwheat or why eat it?

It’s my go-to place/booth for a quick korean food. I especially love the short rib stew(kalbi-tang). It came with potatoes & veggies. Ribs are so tender-falling off its bones. The soup flavor is soo good… I always«drink» the whole bowl. I also notice this place makes better banchan(side dishes) than the other booths in the food court. I also like their spicy squid fried rice. It comes in a clay hot pot so I usually let the rice gets burned/crispy on the side of the bowl.

Best place to eat in the Galleria. Lots of variety and fresh choices. Their dukkboki is awesome and there’s lots of Korean eye candy as well.

overwhelmed with the option in the galleria food court, i opted for this korean place because i saw a picture for dumpling and rice cake soup, my usual order at korean restaurants. this place measures up pretty well to the more expensive restaurants i’ve been to for Korean food. there were 4 large dumplings, great flavor and i loved the taste of the pork inside. i love that there was an abundance of rice cakes. i hate when you run out! it also came with kimchi, spiced cucumber, cold noodles, and radishes, all for $ 10. good deal, good eat, and fast service. exactly what we were looking for at the time, and satisfied all of us.

Food Court Food… nomnom. Easy, fast and less expensive than going to a Korean restaurant. I have been to this lil joint in this food court a few times now and each time, have been satisfied. It’s nice to have this lil area of Korean restaurants and not have to go all the way into K-town. Also, there’s very easy parking and it’s connected to a Korean grocery store and bakery. :) See ya there!
