Went in yesterday for Valentine’s Day with my gf. The food was great I order a campechana and she order salmon and shrimp. We also order a dozen oysters as an Appetizer. The best thing about this place was the waitress she was on top of things! She was constantly coming over and asking how we’re doing. Will definitely be going back!

Place is big. You can fit big groups there. They have Mexican playing when there isn’t live music playing. Monday — Thursday till 8pm is happy hour, 2 for 1 beer and margaritas. Prices are fair. Staff is nice. Love the shrimp tacos.

Food is great… Love the shrimp cocktails… But the music is on way too loud and we were sitting wayyy in the back. Don’t expect to have conversation during the performances. Would give five stars if I could enjoy a meal inside and enjoy the company of those I’m with and not feel like I have to order to go. However, if you don’t wanna here what your annoying date has to say… Perfect place.

We always come for lunch, great specials. Recommend the Chicken Fajitas comes in sizzling pan, loaded with bell peppers/onions, rice/beans with side guacamole enough for two people. They serve Tortilla Chips with 3 different types of salsa & limes. However, the Salad Bar that comes with lunch needs a make over. Wilted greens, Broccoli had already brown spots, Orange Slices were dried up. Shrimp with Rice & Beans was good. All comes with Flour or Corn Tortillas. Servers came pretty quick. The mexican music blaring was a bit much during lunch along with the TV being on. Have not been here for dinner, but looks like they have a stage area for entertainment.

Don’t get me wrong; they still serve one of my favorite dishes, the«molcajete mexicano» with steak, chorizo and nopales, drenched in spicy sauce and melted cheese. My wife loved the«aguachiles», but didn’t care for the«camarones a la diabla». The feel of the restaurant makes it hard to enjoy your food. It is very poorly lit and it’s hard to have a conversation with TVs in the background. The dark environment only makes sense when the Mariachi is there but when they are not there, it feels like I’m having dinner in front of the TV at a messy friend’s house.

Wasn’t digging their ceviche mixto tostadas. They had no flavor and worst of all they blanched all, if not all of the ingredients in the tostada. Blanching to me means means that the fish and shrimp weren’t fresh.

The food is good here but over priced… my Husband and I can handle that but what made us walk out was how loud the Mariachi was. WOW! So extremely loud it hurt our ears. We asked the waitress nick named«Mosca» asking her if other customers complained, she told us they complained to her all the time but that they wouldn’t lower it. After we left we called the Manager and his response to our concern was«we have not received any other complaints». There seems to be a lack of communication within the staff and a lack of care for what customers have to say. We are not going back anytime soon.

The food was good. I didn’t love my margarita. To much sweet and sour mix for my taste.

I’ve only been to this twice but it’s enough to pursue me never go there again. The first time seemed fine, service did seem slow for only 3 tables with patrons. The inexpensive lunch menu seemed promising, and the complentary salad bar gave the impression that this could be a to go place for lunch. That said, the salad greens were a bit wilted, the first salad plate wasn’t clean, other than that everything seemed fine. The fish tacos were tasty and for that price I could overlook the dirty plate, and old salad. 2nd time was a different story. They were much busier than before and proved to be the restaurant’s weakest link. This place can’t manage themselves out of a wet paper bag. Once we were sit down, after our drink orders were taken it was a waiting game. It took a while for the drinks, probably 8 to 10 minutes after the order was taken, for water? Chips and salsa took a while too probably 20 minutes in. When the server was taking our order, I noticed she wasn’t writing any of the order down, which I knew for a 5 top she will most likely forget something. Of course about 5 minutes later, she came back reconfirming the order. That means that our orders didn’t get placed until about 15 minutes after we sat down, not good when all you have is one hour for lunch. The salad bar seemed in better knick then the first visit. Although I did notice that 3 of the salad plates were not properly cleaned, and still had residue on them. So about a half an hour passes by, 45 minutes into lunch, and still no food, the lunch rush has since died since we had a late start to begin with. We haven’t our server since she had to reconfirm our orders. No refill on chips or topping off our waters while we waited for our food. On the topic of water, after I downed my water and was sipping off the ice melt, I noticed a distinct taste of bleach or some cleaning agent from the melt water. That and the dirty plates led me to believe their dishwashers are slacking on the job. Finally about 50 minutes into our wonderful visit to this establishment one of my companions saw able to catch the attention of our server. He flagged her to come over but she just nodded and walked into the other direction. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. It was unanimous and we decided that this place did not deserve our patronage, so we got up, went over and explained that this was unacceptable and walked out. It’s understandable that establishments get bogged down, kitchens get backed up and food can take longer than we normally want, but it’s the staff’s duty to keep the patrons informed if things get complicated. No such customer service was demonstrated and I would go so far as to say that this place is absolutely oblivious to how important customer service is, that said I will not dine there ever again.

My first and last visit ever. Finding a good lunch spot in San Fernando/Pacioma is not an easy task and this place isn’t helping. Went there with four other co-workers for lunch on a Friday. It was mildly busy but not crazy. Our waitress took our order but didn’t write it down, so she came back and asked us to confirm again what we wanted. The chips and salsa came out but that was it(the salad bar was kinda nasty). We waited for over 30 minutes — our waitress didn’t come back to the table and neither did our food. We waived at the waitress from across the room and she nodded but continued to make her rounds to her other tables. We couldn’t wait any longer so we decided to leave. We told the hostess this and she said we had to pay for the bottled sangria that my friend got(the rest of us had water). She didn’t know the price of the sangria so I gave her $ 2. How’s the food? Who knows and who cares. How’s the service — shitty — and that’s the only $ 2 El 7 Mares will ever get from me.

I’m no fan of Mexican food, but I am a fan of their soups(and horchata!), and I’m a huge fan of this restaurant. They’re always so friendly and helpful and accommodating. And their Caldo de Camarón(shrimp stew/soup) is phenomenal. I happily drive an hour just to experience it! From the ambience to the food to the wonderful staff, this restaurant is a real gem.

Okay so the place was a little on the dirty side. Sticky in places it shouldn’t be and trash or food on the floors, and our table could’ve used a quick wipe down. The hostess was the only friendly face in the place. We ordered the seafood cocktail, deep fried tilapia, and bacon wrapped shrimp. The food is always hot and tasty. I’ve been here in the evening when the music and or mariachi is rocking out. The atmosphere is completely different for lunch vs dinner. If your ready to turn up come for dinner. If you want something a little more on the normal side go for lunch. Either way service is slow. It took 10 minutes for my dudes refill and I didn’t get one at all. Service at night is even worse because it gets crowded. I think I’ve managed to keep my visits here to once a year, and I’m okay with that.

Had a really good time with my gfs and our kids. First time having seafood cocktail in coconut– it was tasty. Margaritas were good and on happy hour. They had a bunch of other delicious looking entrees as well but we can only have so much, plus they have a free fruit and salad bar. The music was perfect– not too loud. Live mariachi too.

Server was slow and had an attitude… she completetly forgot my meal! After everyone got their plates she asked me «what did u order»? Then started the bad attitude… music was good and food was ok. 2 stars for that but server was not good at all!

What can I say other than terrible unprofessional service. Stale tortilla chips, kids running around, dirty sticky tables, and we are still waiting for our food 30 minutes after ordering and we’re the only ones here. When the food did come out it was okay. Not great by any means. I had the pollo ranchero. The agua fresca de piña tasted very much like dole pineapple juice and the ice tea tasted as if it were made from powder. The ceviche my fiancé had was good she was happy it. At the end the food could not make up for the location(cleanliness) and the service…

First off the food was good. I had the Chile Rellenos with Rice and Beans. Sadly I could only eat a few bites because I couldn’t stand the over the top loud music that was playing here. Like it hurt my ears loud. The people at my table had to literally scream across at each to hear what the other was saying. Not only were the live Mariachi bands ridiculously loud but even when they weren’t playing and the regular stereo was on, the staff would crank up the volume to a horrific level. I will personally never come back here and would dissuade anyone else from coming. One of the most unpleasant restaurant experiences I’ve ever been in.
