My first visit to this restaurant was not a satisfying experience; first off the food lacks flavor, second it’s super greasy and third super pricey. This was my first and last visit. however don’t take my word for it, see for yourself!

Food was awful, I ordered a tostada de Camaron very plain no flavor whatsoever. My husband ordered the empanadas de Camaron super greasy. The sign they have at the cashier speaks for itself. Never coming back to this place.

I will never go back! I expected more from this place some food was good while others were not good, rice was cold, some of my shrimp still had skin on them. Service was HORRIBLE, had to keep asking a different waitress for service, my brother waited 10 minutes to ask for a refill, they spilled caldo on my bf’s shorts and stained them, will not be returning.

The food is great! Prices are great. But the music is too loud. They should bring it down a notch so that people can here themselves talk. Been here several times, love the place but they should turn it more into a family type restaurant if they want to be in it for the long run.

Just ate here. My son found a hair in his dish. On the menu it said my dish comes with beans and it didn’t, it came with a pile of rice, which was tasteless and mushy. Won’t be back.

Mariscos Camarena is a mexican restaurant from Nayarit. The staff that works here is okay. The restaurant is clean, small has small parking spaces. They have music Norteño every sunday but you pay $ 20.00 per each song they play. After 4 is free banda which is cool but is way too loud, you can’t talk to anyone or ask for food they can’t hear you. The dip we got was free green spicy salsa with tostadas(Not Chips), they should offer pico de gallo and more food options for small childrens since children dislike sea food. I order a 7 mares(seafood soup) great for hangover, micheladas are so good.

So last night was a Marisco night, not wanting to drive all the way to L.A. To enjoy some great Mariscos we decided to visit Mariscos Camarena, the place is a decent size, the hostess was was very nice and greeting. We had a large party of 11 so we required a nice size tabel which she quickly set up for us even though the place was packed(Forgot Her Name But I Will Do A Follow Unilocal To Thank Her) Our waitress was attentive right away with our drink menu, I ofcourse had to have my Modelo Beer(Nothing Goes Better With Mariscos Than An Ice Cold Modelo), my wife had a Michelada which she loved, I decided to get their aguachiles which to my surprise came out quickly, well presentable and delicious. The sauce ok them was not overly spicy but just the perfect spiciness to it. I did however had to let my shrimp sit on the Lemon Juice for about 10 minutes for them to cook a bit more as I am not a huge fan of them being too raw(You might enjoy them that way, not sure but I had to mention that). My wife had their Mojarra Frita and she liked it alot, the only thing was it was a small mojarra and you know them well there is alot of Bones in thistype of fish so being that it was small there wasn’t much meat in it, but overall she liked the taste. My daughters boyfriend had the Camarone Endiablados and he said they were delicious while my daughter went simple and had their tostada de ceviche which was a very good tostada as well. One thing to know about this place is that on Friday, Saturday & Sunday they have live music(I Love Loud Music, So Does My Family and Friends) so to us the loudness of it did not matter. If you are not into such a loud dinner, this is not the place for you in those days evenings. But if you are like me that enjoys the Norteños & Banda playing your favorite tune, then you must go during those days and hours. The Norteño had great music, they played well and sang well also I really enjoyed our night. I for sure will go back to enjoy and try other entrees on their menu and ofcourse a great cold beer with some great corridos, enjoy this place and let me know how it went.

The food is alright. Most plates range from $ 13-$ 15. I ordered the breaded shrimp. It came with rice. With tomatoes, avocado slices and onion slices. The breaded shrimp was good. The rice wasn’t great. They have live music Friday’s — Sunday’s However I came here to spend time with the family and relax and talk. The live music is nice and all but it is really loud. So lesson learned. Visit this place Monday –Thursday if you want to be able to hear yourself think. This was my first time coming, so now I Know if I decide to come back.

I love this place. LOVE Sooo good, every single time I’ve been here I’ve had great service and Great food. My favorite pulpo and camaron anything! They make it exactly how I like it, natural. The tostadas are big and $ 5.00−5.50.($ 1 or .50 cheaper than other places around) The micheladas are the best and $ 6 Other places around the area don’t have them, so I prefer this place. I’ve never been on the weekends but apparently its really loud… I prefer going during the week.

This place is just awful, let me explain why: 1) The food is not good, tasteless and mediocre with a very limited menu. Ordered a variety of plates and all of us had the same thought«we’ll never come back here again.» 2) On the weekend they play Banda music so loud you can hear it in Santa Clarita. The place is not big, but the music is so loud you can’t hear yourself think let alone have a conversation with anyone at the table. 3) The crowd is thug-a-riffic. Bunch of drunks and lots of issues with people that go there. When you have to have security on a Sunday afternoon for lunch crowd, you know there have been problems.

went here today… BIGMISTAKE! They must think the venue there is as big as Staples center, they had a Banda playing with a tuba player when we walked in, besides being extraordinarily loud, they were terrible out of key and yelling to sing. Then the mic’d up Banda came on, it was ear pain loud!!! Way beyond acceptable levels it was awful! BUT all of that would have me saying okay I’ll go back on a night they don’t have a band playing… but, the food was totally lacking flavor, I got a watered down shrimp cocktail, my bf got a shrimp ceviche tostada that was also very plain, the food was mediocre at best and not worth going back for. One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in the longest time. With the food lacking flavor there is no reason to go back. If for some insane reason you need to lose your hearing, this is the only reason to go to this horrible spot!

I like the ceviche here. They have a lively environment on weekend nights with live music that is very popular.

Didn’t like the food. The shrimp empanadas had no flavor and too greasy, and the pescado empanizado was nasty we couldn’t eat it. The bathrooms… dirty. Maybe this place is good just for drinks and music, but I don’t know I didn’t try any.

Puro SanFer right here!!! Perfection on a hot summer day in the San Fernando Valley! A campechana & michelada: a perfect combo like hoops & wife beaters, booty shorts & summertime, lip liner on nude lips! My new favorite spot for mariscos. Spacious enough where you aren’t rubbing elbows with the next table over. The service was great. Our server was on top of making sure we had enough lime, tostadas & drinks. Midway through our meal, a trio rolled in to entertain the crowd. Generous portions, awesome prices & plenty of parking. A definite must los fines de semana! Your Homegirl, Violy aka La Novia del SanFer!

Ok let me see, I see some bitch about no free water, some bitch that it had too much seafood and not enough limon, and another about their grandma makes it better, and another about it being too expensive… EXPENSIVE??? Bitch it cost eight fucken bucks! You should be able to afford it now that minimum wage is gonna be 15 bucks an hour. Sorry ass ghetto fucks! This place is worth the bang for your buck, micheladas were delicious!!! We had 2 rounds of micheladas, two compechana cocktail for 42 fucken bucks!!! That’s fucken badass! I spend more at the bar just on beer. I would recommend anyone to stop and eat or just drink here. Food is good and yes it’s not gonna be like how your mom made it,(dumbass) it’s a seafood spot in the valley in a mini mall for fuck sake that does it right. I will visit again for sure.

This restaurant offers regional Mexican seafood(mariscos) based on Nayarit recipes. Expect your familiar named appetizers and main dishes to be different than what you commonly find from other marisco establishments. One dish that’s offered that is unique to a Nayariense restaurant is the ‘Pescado Sarandiado’. This is a whole bone-in fish, charcoal cooked, brilliantly seasoned, and served with fresh vegetables. This is definitely worth trying and waiting for(30min wait) given its exclusivity and more importantly taste. The restaurant is quite casual, to the extent that silverware isn’t provided, and instead you are given plastic utensils. This however, is not reflective of the quality of the food and the flavor.

WORST Mariscos! The food has no flavor. Some of the seafood came from a can… horrible horrible I had the Tostada Mixta and Campechana… BLAND! More imitation crab than limon. Not worth the expense!
